Inspired By #6

Morning!  Jeanne Jachna is the hostess this week for the challenge at Inspired By All The Little Things - and she has a gorgeous inspiration photo for us.  I loved the pretty twig wreath, and the spring colours.  Here's what I've made to play along:
I knew when I saw the photo, that I had this sweet twig stamp, with the little bunting stamp that goes with it.  I'm not so sure that I like the bow - I'm a minimalist when it comes to embellishments, so this is a bit much for me!!  I sewed the button onto the bow, and added a few tiny pearls to the wreath, like berries.  Here is our inspiration photo:
Head on over to the Inspired By blog and see who Jeanne's guest designer is this week - and we would love to have you link up your creation.  I'll be back next Saturday as the Inspired By hostess!  See you then :o)

Patterned papers are Woodland Park, October Afternoon; Stamp set is Remarkable Wreath, Close To My Heart; Cardstock is Kraft, Pacifica & Colonial White, CTMH; Inks are Desert Sand & Blush, CTMH:  Ribbon & button, CTMH.

Color Throwdown #273

Yes, I know it's January, but I'm still in Christmas card mode... it's gloriously sunny here, and -30 degrees Celsuis, so it's easy to still be thinking of the holidays.  I've used this week's pretty grey/turquiose colour combo from the Color Throwdown challenge, and used Chupa's Sketchbook Saturday sketch with a few tweeks.  So far I'm sticking to my "always make two" mantra for Christmas cards:

Cardstock is Grey Mist, Heavenly Blue & White Daisy; Stamp sets are In the Background, Scandinavian Wishes & Remarkable Wreath; Inks are Grey Mist, Grey Wool & Heavenly Blue; Bitty sparkles; Button - all Close To My Heart; Ribbon from Michaels.

Dynamic Duos #43

We're featuring Pool Pary & Lucky Limeade at Dynamic Duos this week!  This one took me a little while to pull together... I was a bit obsessed with using this week's Sweet Sunday sketch (designed by my fellow Dynamo, Vicki Burdick!) but I had a hard time coming up with paper that worked for "Pool Party"...  So I've taken a bit of creative license with colours this week, and just between you & me - we're counting brown as a neutral today, as well!

We would love to have you join us by creating a creation using our two colours, and if you don't have the exact ones, just use something similar.  Check out all the designer's fabulous inspiration this week over at the Dynamic Duos blog, or you can see them listed on my sidebar.

Patterned papers are Sidewalks, October Afternoon & Graceful, Echo Park; Dies are Spellbinders & Taylored Expressions; Stamp set is Remarkable Wreath, CTMH; Inks are Desert Sand, Juniper & Chocolate, CTMH; Ribbons and cardstock are Key Ingredients kit.

Merry Monday Challenge #24 & Inspired By#28

I thought I'd try a Christmas card for a change of pace this week - especially when Lesley's Merry Monday sketch reminded me so much of Laurel's inspiration photo at Inspired ByI went with some non traditional colours & papers, and you can't see in the photo, but I added some Stickles to the little pink berries on the wreath for a little sparkle:

Patterned papers are Miss Caroline, Dolled Up by My Mind's Eye; Cardstock is Cocoa, CTMH; Stamp sets are Remarkable Wreath & Christmas Spirit, CTMH; Inks are Cocoa & Blush, CTMH; Stickles.

Holiday Door Cards

I'm busy preparing a card workshop for this weekend, so thought that I would post what we're making over the next few days.  I have a mix of abilities in the class, and we want to get a lot accomplished, so I've kept them fairly simple.  Here is the first one, which is 8 1/2" x 3 3/4"... just takes one sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" of cardstock, so I did a white and a kraft version:
You can't tell in the photo, but the white berries are all sparkly!
Stamp set is Remarkable Wreath; Inks are Chocolate, Cranberry & Bamboo; - all CTMH; Brad & ribbon are from Michaels.
