Cards to Donate

I am happy to be back to my mission to use up supplies that have been in my craft room for way too long!  I was able to completely use up the remnants from my 'Chantilly' paper pack from many moons ago, and managed to get 7 cards put together:

I was able to try out my new 'hello' die from Pinkfresh Studio, and the other two sentiment dies from Creative Expressions were bought for just this purpose - to do a quick, generic sentiment for cards that I plan to donate to a local long term care home & a local charity.
The buttons and flowers are also bits and pieces that have been around forever, so I was glad to find homes for them.

New Art Impressions BFF's Blog Hop!

The Art Impressions Design Team is hopping today to launch Ai's newest line called "BFF's".  These are WONDERFUL - they are pretty much like the girlfriend sets, but maybe a little younger and a little hipper.  I'm featuring Coffee BFF's (Sku#4407).
Here's a closeup of the sentiment and the cute little coffee mug die cut that I put with it.  The set includes a second sentiment which reads "you always keep me grounded":

And here's a closeup of the gals:

Floral Frenzy challenge

We are launching a brand new challenge over on the Art Impressions blog today, and my card is featured!  The challenge theme is "Floral Frenzy" - so pull out your floral stamps, papers and embellishments and go wild :o)  Art Impressions has a wonderful line of stamps called Front & Backs that have always intrigued me, and I thought I would give them a try this week so here is my first effort (be gentle!).
This is Judy (sku#4232)... leaning out of the Curtain Window (sku#4234).  I had an idea that I would use strips of yellow paper made to look like the 'siding' of a house, and that I would do a pot of 3D flowers below her window.  The 'open air' around her head is actually cut out, so that you can see inside the card.  Here is the inside view:
I gave her a little wallpaper, and some wood flooring, and paper pieced some patterned curtains.  There are a few steps involved to put Judy together.  Her front and back come as separate stamps (see below) as do the outside shutters and the inside curtain window:

The stamps are brilliantly designed, so that when you cut them out, they fit together perfectly.  I began by making my siding and wallpaper, and then positioned my windows (which again, fit perfectly together):
Then I just glued Judy together, and positioned her so that her forearms hung out the front window (and yes, she fits perfectly :o).  I cut out a bunch of rolled flowers using my Cricut, cut my own pot shape, and made up my little flower pot.  Here's a closeup:

Dream Big

I made this card a few weeks ago... it was based on a sketch challenge, and I didn't quite have it finished on time, so hadn't posted it before now.  I'm in a bit of a posting lull right now as I'm busy working on some swap creations, so I thought this would be a good time to share.  This is another lovely Memory Box die - they're so delicate, and cut so beautifully, I can see myself using this pretty wreath often in the future.
Patterned paper is Chantilly; Cardstock is Outdoor Denim, Pear & Baby Pink; Ink and Organdy ribbon are Outdoor Denim - all CTMH; Stamp set is Words of Wisdom, Verve; Memory Box die.
