L'oreal Preference Wild Ombres #1 kit Review

Let's talk about hair today, shall we? :P

I fell in love with Ombre hair some time ago and I always wanted to try it on my hair too. Scared of dead ends and refusing to dye my hair again - it didn't happened. :P But one day I just knew I had to try it when these kits were available everywhere around me. So I gave it a try. Bought L'oreal Wild Ombres set at DM for around 7€. I choose shade #1 for the dark brown hair, but there're 2 shades more for light hair. My ends were darker before because I used to color my hair in black and chocolate brown. I didn't want to go too light because I think I look better with darker colors and I was scared to get that ugly brassy blond on my ends. :)

The first thing I liked about this kit is that's so easy to use. Love the brush that comes with this set, because it just makes everything easier. I still have it in case I wanted to go ombre again and then I won't have to buy this kit again, just the bleach. :) I left the bleach working for around half an hour on my hair, then I rinsed it off. I was too scared to leave it for 15 more minutes but for a better effect I should. Or I should repeat the process again, because there's so much color left but my friend wanted ombre too so I dyed her hair. So we both have ombre hair. :P

Right after I dyed my hair.

It's subtle just the way I like it and if I'm honest, it shows better on pictures than in real life. :$ The thing I don't like is that it killed my ends. My hair was long and healthy, of course you could find split ends but they were never so dry and damaged. My hair routine was really simple (I used to use only shampoo) but I had to change it. It was impossible to deal with all the knots and mess (even with my tangle teezer) so conditioner solved the brushing a bit. And last week I decided to trim them away again and my hair is shorter for almost 10 cm and this is the second time I trimmed my hair, last time I think I cut off around 5 cm.

So all in all, I love this kit - easy to use, brush is great and it makes a lovely ombre effect but I'm hating the fact it killed my ends. Or maybe my hair was already damaged and bleach just made them even worse. I might repurchase it again, since I love ombre effect and would love to have a slightly lighter hair but we'll see,  I don't know! :D If you want to try ombre, the easiest and one of the cheapest ways is probably with this set (it's worth to buy it for the first time to get a brush). :) But without any damaged hair, hair dresser is the best solution. :) Maybe it'll work for you.

Here's the before:

Did you try it out? Let me know if you would like to know anything about my hair, so I can blog more about it. :i

Haircut with CreaClip

It's been a week since I published a post, oops. :$ My nails were and still are naked, maybe I'll do something with them tonight, we'll see. :) Anyway I've something else for you for today.

2 days ago I got CreaClip in my mail and I had to try it asap. If you don't know what CreaClip is, here's a description from their site: "The CreaClip is a hair-cutting guide that you can use at home to cut your own or others’ hair. It is easy to use: Just Clip, Slide, and Cut!" Sounds easy, right? I spotted their videos on YouTube while browsing "How to cut layers" videos. I actually tried to cut my front hair in layers but I failed so I couldn't wait to get my CreaClip to fix it. :D

My hair has been long for few years now. All my hair was same lenght since I cut them to shoulders 3,5 years ago so when they got longer, I lost all the volume I had, because my hair is a bit thick and heavy. I'm usually very disappointed with my hair dressers, so going to the hair dresser was always a nightmare for me - or they didn't do what I wanted or they're expensive. :/
Last time I had a haircut was half year ago, when I wanted to get layers but the hairdresser convinced me to not cut a v-shape, because my hair is thick and it'd be such a pity to cut it off. So she cut my hair just a bit in u-shape. Blah blah blah... I wish I didn't listen to her. :D

Okay, let's talk about CreaClip now. :D You get 2 CreaClips in 2 sizes. The bigger curved one (white on the picture below) is for layers and long hair, the smaller (blue) is for bangs and short hair.

All the magic is in the bubble. It works like a bubble level. You just have to be sure the bubble is in the middle, that means you'll cut it straight. :) Here's a close up of the blue one. The white is just bigger and curved. :)

Teeth inside combs the hair while you slide it down and it also helps to keep hair in place when you're cutting it. :) CreaClip comes with instructions but I prefer video instructions, so I checked almost all videos on their youtube channel and decided to cut layers. Here's how I did it.

Step 1: First I straighten my hair, because my natural hair is a bit wavy.
Step 2: Then I flipped my head over and brushed my hair just to be sure I don't have any knots or tangles. When my hair was smooth I took a bigger white CreaClip and clip it on my hair with curve facing down. The bubble was facing towards me so I could see it but if someone cut your hair, you shout face it out.
Step 3: I waited few seconds to see where the bubble is. If the bubble wasn't in the middle, I tried to get it in the middle by slowly moving left or right end of the CreaClip down, depends where the bubble is.
Step 4: When I got bubble in the middle, I slowly slide it down checking the bubble was still in the middle, to lenght I wanted to cut. Here's how it looked. :)

Step 5: Just cut it. :D You can cut vertically or horizontally. I cut it vertically, because I wanted more textured look.
Step 6: Open the CreaClip, put your head back and see the final result. :P

Tangle Teezer Compact Styler Review

I've got my TT 2 months ago and till then I'm using it all the time. I can't imagine living without this miracle brush. <3

Tangle Teezer Compact Styler is a travel size of original Tangle Teezer, so it's smaller than original and it has a plastic cover to protect its teeth - perfect for carrying around without ruining the teeth. It comes in a few colors but I got the pink one. :$

It's not big but its perfect for your hand, you can easily hold it. Approx. dimensions 105mm(D) x 85mm(W) x 50mm(H).

When my mom saw it for the first time, she didn't believe that this brush can detangle my hair at all. My hair is quite long, my ends are little damaged and I get knots all the time. Brushing my wet hair was impossible without pain. I wore curls sometimes of course with ton of hair spray so after few days my hair was impossible to detangle. I was pulling my hair so badly before with my old brush, so my hair's starting to break a lot... I still need a hair cut but I don't have any problems like before. At all. ^_^

Knots like this was something normal to me, I get them especially at the back of my head.
Before / After
With few brushstrokes, without any breakages or damaging my hair, knot disappears! :)

Heatless Curls

I still have to upload all pictures of my manicure so instead of posting nothing I'll share this hair tutorial with you.senyum

I can spend hours and hours on youtube watching "how to" videos. I watch mostly hair and make-up tutorials although I'm not using a lot of make up since I really don't know how to start.
So, one day I found this stunning and beautiful girl and checked all her videos. Here is the video about curls made without any heat.

Btw has anyone watched the movie Seven Pounds with Will Smith? She really looks like Emily (Rosario Dawson) from that movie, I saw it like 39393093x times. And she looks like Jordin Sparks too, she's kind of mixure of Rosario and Jordin.love
Anyway I tried it yesterday on dry and fresh washed hair for all night.

Excuse my messy hair, I just woke up and I didn't even style them, I forgot to take pictures later. (I also have to cut my split ends soonmalu). Curls look natural on me, but I'm still not sure if I like it. I prefer curls with curling iron more, because they're more defined and these don't look like on her. But at least I save my hair before some heat.

Will you try this tutorial??

Today's Haul

Finally... DONE! I'm done just for two weeks but it feels so good! menari
I had exam today - it didn't go well but I still have some hopes to pass it. I'm still waiting for results of one exam I had on Tuesday... Hope I'll pass all of them! gigitjari I already passed 2, best feeling ever!

So, I was so tired after exam but what is the best thing to make me happy? Yap, I went to Müller! I didn't have a lot of time, because I had to catch a train, but I bought some lovely things for me and for my swaps.

Look what I got for myself:

2 image plates
I finally found them. They were always sold out, when I went by, I guess we all want them. But it was my lucky day today. ihikhik
2 Catrice Polishes - one jelly red and light pink with blue shimmer:
Catrice Bloody Mary to Go & Just Married
I bought this hand lotion yesterday and I love it! Thank you Blu for recommendation. peluk I saw it already like 2 weeks ago, but the smell was so noooot for me so I didn't bought it. After seeing it at Polish Drop I decided to try it. I'll bought another bottle so I could have it at BF's too. I usually don't use any hand creams, just from time to time when I see it on my desk. Now my cuticles will be more beautiful and softer.senyumkenyit
Balea Handlotion Shebutter and Vanille
Today I made curls with curling iron. I use straitghtener most of the time, so this was a change and I really like it how it turns out. menari

And about my color... I was dyeing my hair in black for 2 years and a few months ago I wanted my chocolate brown back. I didn't want to bleach my hair just to avoid any damage hair, so I dyed my hair a couple of time with chocolate brown. That's why my ends are darker, but in person it's not so obvious. senyum

So, do you dye your hair? How do you curl your hair?

Now I'm going to take a nap and check your blogs and then is time for sleeeepiiing, I'm soooo tired!

Good Night,
Ivanacium
