La Sagesse - RV167 (Three wise monkeys) Framed

Hi, thank you so much for your lovely comment for the last post.

I've finished "La Sagesse - RV167" © Isabelle Vautier and framed it.

日本語では「見ざる、言わざる、聞かざる」ですよね？

ちょっと順番が違うのかな？と思いつつ調べてみました。

There is saying about "Three wise monkeys" in Japanese, too and checked what is written in French.

I didn't know there are the same saying in many different countries and also checked English version.

同じことわざが色んな国にあるとは知りませんでした。

英語では、Three wise monkeys といい、"See no evil, here no evil, speak no evil"と言うそうです。

In French it says "Singes de la Sagesse" and Ne rien voir, Ne rien entendre, Ne rien dire.

I know this Chinese script but don't know about this "Zhi" for this design, maybe should check Chinese saying, too?

やっぱり、ラインというかフレームのあるデザインは額入れが難しいです。

漢字デザインと言うのは初めてでちょっと抵抗はあったのですが、この猿たちが可愛くて買ってあたためていたチャート。

可愛いくてお気に入りになりました。

I was hesitating to stitch Chinese script but I love this design with monkeys to much!

この”智”がどういう意味かは分からないけれど、"Zhi"と書いてあるのできっと中国語の方の意味なんでしょうね。

This photo above was taken in my room and it shows linen color justice.

I choose the frame from in my frame stash and am so happy that I could decrease frames.

部屋の中で撮った写真。この上の写真がリネンの色が一番綺麗に出ていると思います。

The chart was written "Isa" after "Z", but I added "2015", and now my son didn't have interests but now he loves to see these monkeys.

チャートには「Z」の後に「Isa」と書いてあったのですが、私は2015と入れました。

刺す前には全然興味のなかった息子も、完成した今はこの猿が可愛くて喜んでいます。

The other day when my son's friend also his mom came to our home to play with, I prepared orange juice for kids and waiting for them to come, but kids were concentrating on playing games and didn't come at all, then when I looked at kids table, my Chihuahua Cocoa was waiting for them to have juice together, lol
It was so sweet, she was expecting to have some!

 

最近息子の友達とママがお家に遊びに来てくれました。子供たちはゲームに夢中でジュースを用意しても全然テーブルに来ず・・・

ふと見ると、チワワのココアがジュースを欲しそうにテーブルで待っていました（笑）

ずっと待ってる姿がとても可愛かったです！

La Nuit des Songes... Framed! and new WIP

Hi, thank you so much for stopping by and thanks for your comments for the last post.

I've framed "La Nuit des Songes..." © Isabellle Vautier and I really love the result!

Here are photos of it.

I was thinking to use this frame in my mind which was in my frame stash and when I sized it, the color, design, and the size, everything was perfect!

 

I really want to hang this on the wall in my room, but before then I should clean up my room...

There are so many things that I don't need and should tidy up.

But I've been escaping from cleaning up and have started new single color work again.

Here is my new WIP from Isabelle Vautier's design.
It's quite strange for me to stitch Chinese script (Kanji), though I was curious to stitch this design from long time ago.

I should translate these French words to know what there is written!
It's gonna be finished soon, hope I have the suitable frame in my stash again!

2015 First Work! La Nuit des Songes... RV157

Hi there, it's been so long time since the last time I've updated my blog...
I'm still here!
I've quit my job Nov. for some reasons and have been working at home now, that's why I can have my own time a bit longer than before so I've started to stitch again only a little by little.
Although I have no enough time to stitch complicated designs, so I chose this Isabelle Vautier's single color design.

I had been wanting to stitch this design for ages and it took me to start eight years!
I'm so happy that I've done and am so satisfied of this finished piece!

Owl is one of symbol of happiness in Japan, so I love owls very much but it's quite hard to find lovely owl designs in stitching field but when I've saw this I've felt in love at first sight!
Isn't this design simply beautiful, is it?!

The chart called for the thread color DMC #946, but I used #815.
After I finished all the cross stitch parts, I started to back stitch that I don't like much and used one strand (I can't read French, so...) but it didn't show it nicely like a chart photo, so I tried to use two strands and as I don't like back stitch, I've done straight stitch instead.
Two strands straight stitch made it look very good, I think!

The chart was designed with "Isa V." a designer's name and also asked to add a charm, but I was going to frame this so didn't add a charm and instead of it I added my initial and added 2015 for the name part.

I'm very satisfied how this tuned out!

I'm planning to frame this soon and will stitch another her design!
