Altered Tin and Spool Stand

Hello lovelies! I hope everyone is good, it's soon Easter holiday's here in Norway and I hope that you are going to enjoy yourself alot this Easter. Of course I have a little share today. I made an Altered Tin and Spool stand I'm really excited about.

I got my mixed media on while making this little stand. I added so many Wild Orchid Flowers on this and loads of mixed media products like Crackle paste, sprays and Finnabairs waxes.

I put this together by using a wooden spool and a small fish tin on top of it and covered it with crackle paint, mists and art Alchemy Waxes. I decorated it with loads of Wild Orchid flowers, Prima resin decor and  little 7dots Studio Sticker. Do you recongnize the little girl? Well.. It's me! I started dancing ballroom dancing when I was about 4 years old.. my carrier ended in the age of 9 I think.. don't really know why.. :) I wish I still danced though.. I really liked it I remember.

l also added loads of micro beads and glitter to my project, long with strings and flowers.

Mixed Media Canvas

Hello Everyone! Today I have a little canvas piece to share with you. I made this of my littlest boy, just for fun.. It's not often I make something just for fun since I usually make a lot of DT work, but this time I also added a video tutorial of my piece.

I played with some of awesome Prima Flowers, Blue Fern Studio Chipboards and used a lot of mixed media products like the new Lindy's Magical Shakers.

There's a lot of details on it, I used modeling paste in the background, with the magical shakers and Color Blooms. I also did some stamping and golden embossingpowder.

If you would like to see how I made this please take a look at the video below. :)

I've put my finished canvas with some of my favorite pieces I've made.

Now and Forever Layout - DT Wild Orchid Crafts!

Hello everyone! Today is my day over at the Wild Orchid Crafts blog and I've created a layout using their gorgeous flowers.
My photos from my wedding is very precious to, just because I don't have that many. So I wanted to make a layout showcasing the gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid.

I used papers from the 7dots Studio "Yuletide" Collection as my background paper and also added tags from the same collection. I diecuted out some doilies and added that to my composition. I colored seam binding ribbon and Wild Orchid Magnolia flowers to get the right color. If you would like to see how I made this layout, please take a look at the video below.

I used the new Finnabair waxes on my background. They smell so good!!

If you'd like to know which flowers from Wild Ochid Crafts I used on my layout please head on over to their blog for a full product list and of course gorgeous projects from the other designers.

Sisters - Layout - DT Wild Orchid Crafts

Hello everyone! Back today with another share, today I'm up on the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog with a layout to share. I had so much fun making this layout. Let me tell you all about it!

These are my sisters, way back when I was young.. hahaha.. Well.. The picture is about 15-16years old I guess and just a fun memory to scrapbook, because that's what it's all about isn't it? So I made this layout at a crop, this was a challenge and you had to finish in one hour. I used about 45minutes to come up with the idea and making it happen.

The challenge was to use purple, you had to borrow something from your neighbour and use some embossing dry or wet. So I did a bit of mixed media on the background like adding modeling paste, mists and some stamping and of course embossing. You don't know how rushed you feel when you are trying to dry mist and wet medium and making a decent layout at the same time. All in one hour.

I used some of the white open roses and some Pretty Flori - Anemone flowers from Wild Orchid and adding a soda can opener just for fun. I also borrowed some of the punchinella from my neighbor Kjersti at the crop and stapled them on.

I added some large magnolias, anemone and roses to my project, of course from Wild Orchid. The flowers are really good quality flowers and perfect for any project.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Would love to hear what you think. Have a great creative day! :)

I'm so thrilled and over the moon happy about beeing a guest designer for the "Our Mixed Media Moods" facebook group. This group is hosted by the ever so talented DeeDee Catron, the owner of UmWow Studios and Designer of the most awesome 7Dots Studio Paper Collections and "Mixed Media Jenn" - Jenn Engle who has an amazing amount of followers on her youtube channel.

This is what I created with the moodboard:

I kept to the color scheme using grey, black, teals browns.. This is such a fun photo. My good friend took this of me, her husband and mine when we where in Scotland.. All with our phones, ready to take some turist photos!

Since the "Our Mixed Media Moods" are based on tutorial videos I made one just for this project. Would you like to see how I made this layout? Please take a look at the video.

Just for fun I added the little plastic parts from an old Xbox 360. I also added some gorgeous star confetti from UmWow Studio. They are made of awesome quality. The stars are a direct inspiration from the moodboard.

Mixed Media Altered Paintbrush - DT Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo

We are mid month and that means a new reveal over at the Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo challenge blog! This month is all about paintbrushes! It's such a cool theme and I had really fun making this project.

This is what I came up with for this challenge:

I've altered a cheep paint brush using Finnabair's awesome gesso's and Prima's Colorblooms.. I also played with the IOD's molds and Finnabair's Art Supplies.

I sprayed with the Colorblooms - Deep Teal and Brimstone. Added loads of Art Stones, flowers and different type of flowers. I also used some of the melange pebbels and Finnabiar nobs. I sprinkled some microbeads in black to add some deepth to the brush.

I really loved this cross witch is a Relic and Artifacts from Sandra Evertson. Like I said in my last post, I've been using them more and more lately.. probably influenced by my good friend Heather Thompson and all the Muse girls.

I used a mould to make this piece. I used it when the clay was still wet so I could add it around the brush. A little pebble in the center was a perfect fit. I painted on top with the metallique paints - Ancient Coin.

Would you like to take part in the challenge? Please take a look at the Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo blog for challenge rules, info and prizes.

Memory Lane Love - Layout

Hi again sweethearts! Back again today to share with you a layout I made with the new collection from Prima "Love Clippings". I really like this collection.. It's so cute!

I made this layout at a crop this last weekend. We do these 1 hour challenges. This 1 hour challenge was all about romance. So you had to include a heart and the color red. It was so many awesome things made at that challenge, and this was what I entered with.

I really love this background paper as it doesn't really need a lot of background work, that's done for you. BUT, I did add some stenciling and modeling paste to add a bit of texture in the background. I splattered alot with Color Blooms and added some stamping.

Do you spot the playing cards in the background? Those are Prima goodies as this whole layout is actually mostly Prima things. I love flowers and I used a whole pack on this layout. Love to make a lot of layers on my layot.. This is no exception.

This is one of my favorite photos from last year. Me and my hubby at the top of the Urquhart Castle in Scotland. I really enjoy the time we had together there. I love my husband so much. He's my soul mate.

I'm joining in these challenges with my layout:

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I would love to hear what you think about my layout! This years first layout share! :) See you soon!

My Lightbulb Fairy - DT Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo

Hello everyone! It's time for the second reveal at Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo and this time it's all about lightbulbs! :)

I really had fun with this project and it took some time to make because I started on it under my "mojo-lost" period.. I really liked the project then, but I couldn't finish it. But after my mojo came slowly back, I managed to finish her. Let's take a look at my Fairy.. :)

I'm really happy with her.. She's made with loads of layers and flowers. I painted her, misted her and added some sequins.

I used microbeads and prima flowers and resin flowers. She's misted with color bloom.

I'm so happy with her so I'm thinking about making her a "husband". She kind of deserves that :)
