Satay from Yan's Kitchen

first attempt on Satay
quite fun though ^^

ingredients:lemongrass, shallot, ginger, turmeric,
salt, sugar, diced chicken, oil
.
ah yan's method:
*blend lemongrass, shallot, ginger & turmeric
together in food processor/ pound also can
*marinate the chicken with the paste
& some sugar + salt for few hours
*cucuk the meat on satay stick
*grill each side for a few minutes
until u get a golden crisp surface
(i brushed the meat with marinade & some margarine while grilling)


it was so fun as if there were a BBQ going on
next round i'm gonna challenge the sauce together!

惯例的两菜一汤

本来想要炒腐乳苋菜或者银鱼丝苋菜
但是旁边那一肉一汤都是重口味的
还是来点清淡的清炒苋菜好了~
一点点糖一点点盐…… 妈妈教的recipe~
原来做安娣也要这样伤脑筋的
 这道非常成功的烧烤鸡小腿
是我尝试了好多好多次都失败的一道菜
失败原因 - 就一个
懒惰把烤盘从架子上面搬上搬下
懒惰洗刷那烤过后焦焦的烤架
懒惰守在烤箱旁边整整一个小时
懒惰一面烤还要一面替烤箱里的鸡肉刷酱汁

温馨满满的黑豆鸡骨汤
加了颗蜜枣下去~ 滋润啊!
这只鸡好月巴~ 只剩下骨了还那么多油~ 哎!

韩国粉丝味噌汤

吃着用来当午餐的饼干~ 随便看看电视正播映的韩剧~
看得我歇斯底里想喝泡菜汤!
不顾一切地奔向厨房翻箱倒柜
橱子里有一包韩国粉丝o也!
从冰箱里挖出味噌、海带芽和辣椒粉
把锅子里放热水烧开
我要变魔术!
从这堆淋淋散散的材料中
我要豁出一碗韩国料理出来!

加点糖~ 加点酱油~
撒上七味粉和白芝麻……
好吃!好爽!

雨夜·晚餐

又是一个下雨的夜晚~  惆怅~
把自己从捉狂的工作中拉进厨房
两菜一汤 - 在最短的时间端上桌
一面看着七点档一面用餐一面闲话家常
似乎已经成了一种生活习惯……

method:
*saute some sliced tomato until they're soften
*add in eggs (season with some soy sauce & pepper, lightly beaten)*pour in some tomato sauce when it's almost done^^

Homemade Noodle in Miso Soup


was craving for Udon in Miso Soup last nite

i dun hav Udon in stock so i made my own noodle
kinda enjoy making noodle nowadays
starting from wheat flour to a bowl of yummy noodle
the satisfaction is great
n most importantly... it's 100% oil & chemical free!

for the sauce~ i had
olive oil + frozen mix vege + celery + tomato cube (canned)
+ italian mixed herbs  + sugar + salt + starch
.
very healthy~ very sour though =P

Braised Peanut Mushroom

heart this dish very much...
n it's not difficult to make
all it needs is just longer time of braising~
goes so well with bowls n bowls of rice =P

Hi Rachel,i'm really sorry tat i post up this recipe so late
was super busy lately T_T
.
peanuts (soak overnite)
chinese mushroom (soak til soften)
fresh ginger slice, smashed garlic, water,
oyster sauce, soysauce, dark sauce, rock sugar,
pepper, sesame oil, shaoxing wine
.
*saute garlic & ginger til fragrant
*add in mushrooms & peanuts
*toss well n add in all seasoning & water
*braise for few hours until the gravy thicken

萝卜芋头粿

马六甲有炒‘菜头粿’(chai tao kuey)
吉隆坡有炒‘萝卜糕’(loh bak gou)
北马有炒‘粿角’(char kuey kak)
我们家厨房有炒‘萝卜芋头粿’ ^^


好有成就感喔~~~

Chicken Curry Pandan Rice

it was a rainy day
suddenly had an urge for comfort food
by using 1 Chicken Whole Leg & 1 Potato
i made Chicken Curry ^^

without adding sambal & santan
(i replaced with Full Cream Milk)

de Aubergine Experiment

i used to love Brinjal since very young...
but after knowing how they are fried
n their ability to absorb oil like a sponge~
我有种‘失恋’的感觉~
hahahaa...
.
after discovering this oil free steaming method~
i can enjoy my beloved Brinjal again~!

*sounds like testimonial of dunno wat health product aje!*
