Earl Grey Obsession

(i think i haven't post Lesson 1 yet :P will do so soon)
.
Ah Yan Learns to Bake
Lesson Two!
Earl Grey Tea Cupcake
the recipe book called it Madeleine
but i doubt so lor~
Madeleine is a shell shaped cake neh!
blending sugar & eggs
mixing pancake flour & tea leaves
mixing everything together
i heart Earl Grey~
to the extend i'm an Earl Grey Addict
the doink doink recipe book gave wrong info
which caused the cake came out lousy ler...

tasters commented tat it taste like milk tea ^^ i personally think the tea leaves texture is lovely!

the 'family portrait' of this Earl Grey series
will improve the recipe n share here when i get my victory!

Fast Fixed Dinner

this article is specially dedicated to the DARLING
whom complained i did not update my blog for ages
n has no story in my recent updated cuisine blog:
everytime when i go home
no matter for work or for play
ah ma will surely play cheat
pack pack pack a lot of food n 'force' me to bring back
as if i got nothing to eat here
.
it would be very adventurous
to slowly discover wat's in the bag
tat she secretly packed
.
seems like nowdays she likes to 'sumbat'
a pair of 'ikan sumbat' in the bag
> <"
.
this time with additional bunch of asparagus
which i would usually make the green in western way
as in to stir-fry with minced garlic n butter

.
mom will always provide ingredients
with recipe attached :)
she taught me to cook it the Asian way this time
or make it the Jamie Oliver way - boil it!
(FYI: she's also Jamie's fans now!!!)
.
Stir-Fried Asparagus &
Canned Button Mushroom in Oyster Sauce

*thinly slice garlic n saute in cooking oil until fragrant
*add in roughly chopped canned button mushroom
*leave it to cook for a while
*add in asparagus n stir-fry till colour turn darker
*coat everything with oyster sauce before serve

.

i dun hav the iKan Sumbat recipe
because my job is only to heat them up n eat :)
.
i like to prepare different flavoured rice
depending on the dishes i have for that meal
so this time i made express Nasi Lemak :)
add in some instant coconut milk
go outside to pluck some Pandan Leaves
steam rice for 20 minutes
Nasi Lemak Kukus~ done!
.
topped with Old Cucumber Pork Rib Soup
boiled in slow cooker since morning
.
dinner done in less than an hour
with all the short cuts :P

Home-Grown Basil Omelette

Sunday Treats
