Chinese NIU Year Delights

it was a super busy CNY this time
rushing here n there for everything
.
mom refused to eat out this year
so i made them this chicken rice combo
for our family's reunion dinner
*fooo...* it took me whole afternoon to make 4 portion!
dad chopped the chicken for me...
like this how to sell chicken rice?!
for CNY eve prayer
年年有余 made by Almond Pudding
uncle commented tat the colour is not heavy enough
to look like real Koi
dad said the fishes r not lively enough
because the eyes are not black

cake mom asked to make
since i already have my oven here
but it was a failure
'ngeh-ngeh' put it on the offering table
after going tru all the shops-closed during CNY
'bang-wall' experiences
i decided to make my own dinner at home

Sunny Side Up Toast experiment

still playing with the thick thich English Toast
i used knife to cut out a square edge
use fingers to press the inside of the square down
lay a piece of cheese
n sprinkle dried oregano & parsley
crack an egg inside
toast it until the egg is slightly set
watch out not to burn the toast
sprinkle some black pepper before serve :)

Croque-Madame wanna-be Breakie

made myself a beautiful breakie
with the thick thick English Toast from Baker's Cottage
i just heart thick thick toast ^^
.
this is how to enjoy my fav breakie in an elegant way
it's still roti bakar + telur + teh mar...
yesh~ runny egg yolk~ slurpz!
i love it~ love it~ loving it~ soooo much!
recipe:
*buttered the toast
*lay a slice of cheddar cheese on top
*sprinkle some oregano & parsley
*toast for 4 minutes
* serve with a sunny side up
*season with some black pepper
a 20 minutes breakie can be very enlightening
it makes life feels so good~
mmmm....
