Chicken Curry

saw some very nicely chopped chicken drumstick
so hand itchy feel like making Chicken Curry
.
from here u can see:
shallot, garlic, ginger, curry leaves, mixed spices
pound garlic, shallot & ginger
then kumpulkan the rest of the ingredients:
chicken (marinate with pepper & soy sauce),
diced potato (i boiled first), curry powder

the steps r so damn complicated
which made me so pening...
n i think it's not very right too
but some how i followed lor...
*heat up a bit of oil to fry mixed spices until fragrant
*add curry leaves n pounded ingredient n fry
(fuiyo... the smell can kill from here liao)
*add in chicken cubes to fry for 1 minute
*pour water n sprinkle salt, cook for 10 minutes
*add potato & curry powder cook for another 15 minutes
*i hand itchy add in a bit of low fat milk
to reduce the spiciness because my snakie
cannot take too spicy food
*boil for another 5 minutes n serve

nice nice chicken curry meal for dinner
i really dun like this recipe
although the aroma can kills
gonna try to cook it my way next time

the gravy is too thick on the above pics
so i took this layman pic to show the chicken
the meat was really nice though...

Russia Soup 罗宋汤

罗宋汤 Loh Song Tong
a soup that i learnt from HK movie
(a)chopped celery, onion, tomato, carrot
(b)tomato paste/ sauce, salt, sugar, starch
* boil (a) for half an hour then add in (b) before serve
i dunno wat's the genuine recipe so i did it my way
mmm... taste really good
on top of that i also made a meal
from frozen chicken popcorn
which learnt from my new recipe book:
meals made of ingredients from convenient stall

Taiwanese Beef Noodle

saw MiTong made Beef Noodle
so i hand itchy also made my version
because i dun hav enough ingredients on hand...

ingredients:
beef cube, carrot, tomato, onion, garlic, ginger, 八角,
spring onion, vege, mushroom (opional), noodle
.
seasoning:
soy sauce, black sauce, five spice powder,
cooking sherry, pepper, rock sugar, 麻辣沙茶酱,
spicy fermented bean paste (辣豆瓣酱)

1. sauté onion, garlic, ginger until fragrant
2. boil beef for a while
3. sauté beef for a while
4. put all the ingredients & seasoning boil for 2+ hours
5. boil vege & noodle separately
then u'll have nice nice beef noodle liao la!
looks good.. taste good
but... but... but... accidentally put too much rock sugar :P
looking forward to the next try with sufficient ingredients!!!

Chinese - Japanese Fusion

i made Pu Er Tea Rice
& it's awesome!!!
first boil some thick Pu Er Tea
filter the tea leaves and use tea to cook rice
blend some japanese curry
with some chopped ham & frozen mixed veg
mmmm... simply fusion! aka Cha-Pa-Lang meal

Steamed Chicken w Salted Fish

finally make 咸鱼蒸鸡 after so many years!!!
went to google for proper recipe
but out of expectation... NONE!
so i simply hantam my way
.
ingredients:
chicken (marinate with pepper, sugar & cooking sherry)
salted fish, chopped garlic, shreded ginger
use sesame oil to fry ginger, garlic & salted fish
until fragrant
pour on top of marinated chicken
steam for 10 minutes *yummy*

Dumpling Noodle

mom gave me some frozen dumpling she made
i turned them into dumpling noodle for breakfast
想家的时候…… 还是可以用妈妈的水饺顶替一下家的味道
可她的体贴关怀方式 是没人可以代替的 :'(
100% meaty filling mom made dumpling
home sick again...
