T & T Mingle #12
Well this is the last By Hand Artist This and That Mingle page. We've done another twelve months. But it won't be the last mingle pages. I've decided to continue these mingles, but with a totally different theme. No holidays for 2008 unless that's what someone wants to put on their page.
I had really wanted to do several pages this month, but just didn't have the time. Oh well, at least one got done.

This & That Mingles for Jan/08
I really went gong ho for January. I made 3 mingle pages Sheesh!!
The first was JR Tolkien, love his Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. Gollum being my favortie character. Then I did one of my favorite Shakespeare quotes "Double, double toil and trouble" for National Soup Month. And last but not least I used Suzanne's (Quietfire Design) new Flourish rubber stamps to embellish my outline stamp of a teapot and cup (GG Design). These two stamps just went together perfectly. In researching these themes, I came across quite a bit of info I wasn't aware of. All the soup and tea facts are amazing. Click on an image to be taken to that mingle page's description as well as more pics of that page.

This & That Mingle Dec/07 Narcissus
It took me a while to finally come up with something for this month's mingle page. I woke up in the middle of the night and got up to do some artwork and it just flowed from my fingers. I choose the "Narcissus" flower this time. I'm a December baby so I thought it was appropriate. it was a toss up between that and the Horoscope sign "Sagittarius", but I love flowers more than horoscopes. I also got to practice my script writting on the long poem by Lucy Maud Montgomery that I put on the inside. PS: Love that Hamada font that someone recently introduced me to.

Thanks & Sept Mingle
It was an extremely busy day today. I had a lot I wanted to make and FINISH, which I did. Last day of the long weekend and very nice weather outside.
I made 2 more Thank you cards, with envies as well as my September Mingle page for my ByHand Group a "This & That Mingle". I choose Chinese Kite Festival. There were so many good themes to choose from, and until today I had no idea what I wanted to do. But I read the list again this morning, and the Kites just jumped out at me. I googled it and saw a lot of beautiful kites. The colors spoke to me. I've put links to each individual page, just click the photo you want more info on. There are lots of detail pics and instructions.

This That Mingle for Aug - Andy Warhol
Another mingle bites the dust. I wanted to do Aubrey Beardsley or Isaac Hayes (Shaft), just didn't know how to put what I wanted onto paper. So I then checked out Andy Warhol and all of a sudden the images were flashing through my brain.
I'm happy with the results. Click on the Soup Can image to go to my web page with more images of this mingle and descriptions.
PS To see a pic of Andy, pull on tab of soup can. I love putting things that are interactive on my pags. The toe of the boot holds a page closed that has some of his bio behind.
