Shadow Letters - Floral Border - Trust Your Self

At our last Guild's play day till Sept... I created a couple of calligraphic pieces. This was the 2nd piece.

On Genoa Bond Calligraphy paper using a bullet tip marker and then squaring off the letters to create the text... Added the floral type border and coloring with both Prisma Colored Pencils, markers and gold gel pen.

Shadow Letters - Believe And You're Half Way There

On Genoa Bond Calligraphy paper using a Juice Up pen wrote out the words in a Shadow Lettering style. Added some shadow hearts.

Shadow Letters - Create Without Limits

I was at my Saturday Play Day with my Guild and started doing some shadow lettering and this emerged.
On Canson Mixed Media paper started with the black shadow line but found it too dull... so added the pink and green accents.

Dragonfly With Glitter - Change Of Mind

On Canson Mixed Media paper created the butterfly painting with several US ArtQuest Mica Color palettes, then adding glitter to the large circle/ovals
Created the Dragonfly word in shadow lettering with a ZIG Calligraphy marker.

Shadow Letters - Alphabet Words

size: ea 3 word pic is approx 6"w x 4.5"h

I finally decided to do an exemplar with all the letters... Love shadow lettering. I have to get a new 2.0 marker, mine is getting tattered on the end...
On Canson Mixed Media paper created the words in alphabetical order... in Shadow Lettering style. Love this style... using the small end of a ZIG Calligraphy marker

ECS Env Exchange - Jan 2026- Edwina Klein

Using my cut off ends of a bunch of Geli prints created the envelope. Drew out Edwina's name on a yellowish cardstock, outline with a black ZIG Writer and cut it out.

Card was also made with geli print ends and words done in shadow lettering style...

On Canson Black Drawing Paper using both Copic White (don't like it...), Bleed Proof White and Gelly Roll white gel pen doodled the border and created the shadow lettering

Art Of The Fold - Spinner Card - From Me To You

The challenge for our next Art Of The Fold Group (Jan 2026) has us making a spinner card and this is my 2nd card...  couldn't resist trying to make one that didn't catch when opening the card and since Valentine's is around the corner... figured hearts was appropriate.
Again I used scraps for the card. Basic white card base, then I glued the red paper to the card base.
I used various punches and dies and did a bit of gold painting on the Spellbinder dies using US ArtQuest Mica Color Metallic set.

I LOVE doing "Shadow Lettering" and did that on this card using both a ZIG Writer or a Gelly Roll white gel pen.

Shadow Letters - Promise Me Forever

On Canson Mixed Media paper drew out the words using the shadow technique using a red ZIG Writer and graphite shadow, then added the floral design to give a bit more interest using Prisma colored pencils.

On Canson Mixed Media paper drew my funky floral... painted with w/c and Kuretake gold paints. Added the shadowed lettering in 2 sizes to fit the design.

Shadow Letters - Leafy Branch - Love You More

On Canson Mixed Media paper drew my leafy branch with pencil, then creating the lettering and erasing the negative part of the letters. Colored with Prisma colored pencils.

Shadows - Floral - Cosmos

On Canson Mixed Media paper created the shadowed screen type circle, added the florals (Cosmos my favorite flower) colored with Prisma colored pencils adding the leafy strokes with a ZIG Writer.
I made shadow letters a looong time ago but am having fun resurrecting them...

BVCG Galleria - Movie One Liners

Since I goofed... and created only basic One Liners instead of Movie One Liners I started a new batch. Some are ending up in book form again, but I thought I'd play with my favorite one... I love Sherlock Holmes...

So I created 3 different takes on that one liner. I'm not sure what my favorite is...

The 1st 2 are done on Fabriano 1264 Mixed Media paper. The Last one on 110# Staples cardstokck.

The 1st one is in color using Bister powders and a 4.5 empty Parallel pen dipped in water in an Arthur Baker style of lettering I really like.

For the 2nd piece  I created oversized funky letters and then started to doodle in it using  Juice Up pen... I really like the way the letters pop.

The 3rd piece was something I came across in Instagram and wanted to play with that style using a Zig Writer... I love the way it also pops...
