ATC Exchange for May 15, 2022

ATC Exchange for May 15, 2022. I'm ahead of schedule again, but it's going to be a very busy month with a bunch of ZOOM classes and other Guild meetings... and I need to book an appointment to get my summer tires on... plus I still need to label them and create envelopes for the recipients.

Julie Wildman's ATC Exchange - March 2022

Our next Julie Wildman's ATC Exchange's deadline is March 15, 2022, I know I'm early... But I was in a mood to play with my alcohol inks and created the floral background.

Below is the alcohol background prior being cut up...

Scribbled Lives 2021 - Wk 49 - Winnie The Pooh - A Hug

Scribbled Lives 2021 - Wk 49 - Winnie The Pooh - A Hug - and the last challenge for this year - sigh. A good way to end.

I'm taking a class with Jurgen Vercaemst this month doing drawn letters, so thought I'd try. Can't say my letters are very good, but I like the look.

Aqua ATC's

Another day another dollar as the saying goes... Well it was a productive day, maybe not so much dollar wise, but at least creative wise. I finished a batch of Aqua ATCs for this month's ATC a Month online swap. Just in the nick of time too. I added some gilding, of course, and used mostly Quietfire Design words and images. Click on ATC image to see the rest of them and the descriptions. Enjoy

ATC a Month for August

I've made another bunch of ATC's this month. I love the technique I used on my Scrap "Analogous" ATC's which I learnt from a good friend in a recent play day we had. This month's themes for our ByHand online ATC swap was Fashion or an Alalogous color scheme. I made a few of both. The fashion ATC's I made have a backgorund of a scanned image of some sweaters I designed and knit. The image above will take you to the main gallery. Enjoy

More Monochromatic ATC's

Here are the other Monochromatic ATC's I was working on yestrday and today. I really love Pan Pastels, can you tell. They are just so soft and luscious. AND they are absolutely fabulous to rubber stamp and thermal emboss on. I've always had a hard time controling not getting embossing powder in areas I didn't want it. I've used those anti static bags like crazy, and though they do control it to some degree, there are always little grains I miss, not with Pan Pastels... I'm enjoying doing calligraphic stuff on them too.

I made them as triptych's. On some of these I used the Nature Quote Marks quotes from Quietfire Design and also finally started using my grungeboard - flourishes.

Pan Pastels & ATC a Month for June

Made a few ATC's for our monthly online trading. They're also part of the Pan Pastels demo I'll be giving at my local rubber stamp store Paper Pastimes in the near future. Also made some gorgeous backgrounds using them. Each image takes you to a different gallery that you can connect to individual images. Enjoy

A ton of ATCs & More Alcohol Bkgrds

Since our Monthly ATC swap has a theme of Time & Pink for April, I decided to make more alcohol backgrounds using a pink combination with some gold. They turned out really nice, with an Asian flair. I also made a bunch of Time ATC's. So hope you have some time to check them all out. Will take more than a couple minutes... Am I on a time roll here, puns intended. The pics will take you to the two main galleries where you can link to the other pics. Enjoy. I have more background paper to play with and a bit of "time" left... So you may see some more soon.
Hey Beth, do you recognize that background... Thanks a bunch for it.

ATCs a Month for Feb

Well even though I'm having major problems with walking, I'm able to sit and create. My Feb ATCs are done and traded out. We had a theme of making mini travel posters or using the color green.

A bunch of ATC's

I finally sat down and created a bunch of ATC's both for this Thursday's face to face swap and for my online ATC a Month swap. I was definitely on a roll. Eight "Africa" themed and 8 "Valentine" themed ATC's. And I was real good. I was using up the backgrounds I've been creating because of the Created By Hand challenges. Used Suzanne's (Quietfire Design) flourish rubber stamps again. They are just so versatile. Well enough said, here are the pics.

ATC A month for November

Well I started out late to work on my ATC's for this month's online swap. But I sure made up for it. Finished 22 of them and started on some xmas ones too - but those I'll post later. The themes for November were the color Violet or anything to do with Food - "I Love Food", so I really went gong ho. I also was playing with a linear type of artwork, which I really love the results of. I will keep on playing with that.

Halloween ATC's

More on the ATC a Month swap. I have now done a batch ot Halloween themed ATCs. enjoy

I also made a delicious "Vincent Price" cheesecake, which I think is the best cheesecake. I've been making them for about 30 years, but haven't made it in a couple of years, so it was another recipe from memory lane. It is so light, not overpowering like a New York cheesecake. It's also very easy to make. It's more like a souffle cake because it has whipped egg whites folded into the batter and is baked in a bath of water (au bain marie). I guess I've been on a souffle kick, since I've made my mom's souffle twice this month. Finished the last bite yesterday which is why I needed something else sweet in my fridge, but also to take as dessert for my class tomorrow.

OK you can drool...

1st batch of Oct's ATC's

I've been diligently working here on my Egyptian themed ATC's for our October ATC a Month swap, that's inbetween doing laundry UGH and setting up my mock-up table for our Guild's Xmas sale - that's finshed too, pictures taken so I can duplicate what I did. I guess I can say it was another very productive day.
I'mm pleased again with the first batch of Egyptian ATC's I've done. There are a few other ideas I want to get down on paper as well. Plus I have these spiders I bought at the dollar store which I really want to use on the halloween themed ones.

Sealife & Green ATC's uploaded

Boy was I on a roll. I just couldn't stop making these ATC's this month, 26 ATC's later and I still have an urge to do more. I guess I really like the color green and sea life. BUT there are a couple things I want to do in between. Plus there is the Chinatown Street Festival tomorrow.

Ok I've created a new Gallery and sub divided it. I seem to lose them when I put them in my Byhand gallery. Since I make so many and they're not all traded on line but also in my face to face group. So when I'm looking to put an unavailable note against that ATC I somethmes can't find it. Sheesh.

I made some using a background technique that Wanda H let us know about. Loved doing that. (report cover and re-inkers). Then there are some with lots of texture/embellishments - seashells and moss. Then a bunch done with hot glue and gold leaf. Love these. Some with colored pencils (olives). Some misc more landscape/seascape, a wonderful otter, a heron. Well I guess you get the idea.

After uploading this I'm going down to make some curried chicken (Jamaican style), maybe with some roti.

Online ATC A Month Swap (July 07 ATC's)

I've uploaded my ATC's to my main website for this month's online swap on my Yahoo ByHandArtist group. Our themes were anything musical or the color yellow. I combined both themes on many of mine. While writting my blurb I was definitely getting an ear bug or two (as Linda T is fond of saying). I guess she better not check it out or I'll be hearing her all the way from Lethbridge. Just click on the ATC below and you'll be taken to a new window where you'll find about a dozen more ATC's for this month. I went a little overboard as usual.
