Vuoden alussa/At the beginning of the year

Hei vaan blogiystävät pitkästä aikaa. Jonkinlaisessa talvihorroksessa on osaltani mennyt tämä alkuvuosi. Ihan kokonaan en kuitenkaan ole uinunut, vaan jonkin verran on pistelyitä syntynyt ja tässä ne nyt näytille.

Viime vuoden lopulla pistelin tämän Peatrix Potter pupun pojan tyttövauvan tilkkupeittoa varten. Tammikuun alussa ompelin tällaisen vihreä sävyisen peiton pienokaiselle.

'Coeur de brodeuse' on Tralalaan malli ja pistelin sen Sarille synttärilahjaksi. Pistelykankaana työssä on 32 ct valkoinen pellava ja langat ohjeen mukaisesti Atalie, Gentle Art ja DMC. Tosin tytön mekon pistelin Atalien Pivoine sävyllä, ohjeessa oli jokin muu sävy, jota ei itselläni ollut. Viimeistelin työn pussukaksi.

Ystävänpäiväksi valmistui yksi kortti. Sen lähetin Marian huoneeseen.

Jouluisia malleja olen ajatellut pisteleväni pitkin vuotta, tässä ensimmäinen. Malli on V. Engingerin Grande Histoire de Noel sarjasta.

Kevättä kohti kun mennään, niin pehmeät pastelliset värit ja kukkamallit ovat taas mielessä. Tähän kaipuuseen pistelin pari sievää mallia. Tämän kauniin Anemonia mallin löysin vanhasta Creation Point de Croix lehdestä (no 20/2012). Mallin on suunnitellut V. Enginger. Pistelty 32 ct valkoiselle pellavalle ja langat DMC:n

Suloinen lintupari oli puolestaan Cross Stitch Colection (helmikuu 2014) lehdessä ja kuuluu Lucie Heatonin suunnittelemaan kuukausimallisarjaan Animal Magic. Tämä on helmikuun malli, mutta jätin kuukauden pistelemättä. Tässä pistelykankaana on Polstitch'n 32 ct Delicate Roses.

Tällä hetkellä työn alla on CCN:n Afternoon in London.

IN ENGLISH: Hello all to my blogging friends. I can't believe that it's so long since my last post. Already two months has gone. It has been busy time but I have been stitching however some works. Let's see what I have to share with you.

The end of the last year I stitched Peatrix Potter buny and in January I sewed it for quilt. The quilt was gift for my sons little baby girl.

The small project pouch I did for my stitching friend Sari as a birthday gift. It's 'Coeur de brodeuse' by Tralala. It's stitched on 32 ct white linen with Atalie, Gentle Art and DMC threads.

The card was Valentine's Day greetings I sent to friend at Marian huoneessa.

I have also thinking about to stitch Christmas themed works around the year and here you can see the first I created. It's design by V. Enginger from Grande Histoire de Noel.

Upcoming spring inspered me to stitch something with soft pastel colored threads. I found from old Creation point de Croix magazine (20/2012) this beautiful anemone. It's also V. Enginger's design. It's stitched on 32 ct white linen with charted DMC threads.

The bird stitching belongs to Lucie Heaton's monthly serie 'Animal magic'. This is February chart but I left word out. These cute charts can find from Cross Stitch Colection magazine (February 2014). This work is stitched on 32 ct Polstitch's Delicate Rose fabric with DMC.

Smalls SAL and gifts

Tässä sitä taas ollaan, ihan vuoden vaihtumisen kynnyksellä. Miten nopeasti vuosi onkaan jälleen kulunut. Aina vaan tuntuu myös olevan vähemmän aikaa tänne blogimaailmaan. Smalls Sal:ssa mukanaolo on vielä sentään antanut kimmoketta päivittää tätä blogia. Ensi vuonnakin Smalls SAL edelleen jatkuu, mutta itse olen päättänyt hypätä nyt tällä erää rattailta pois.

Tämä pieni joululintu on tämän vuoden ja minun viimeinen SAL pistelyni. Lintunen oli joulumuistiainen Sarille. Pistelykankaana on 32 ct Belfast opalescent ja langat ovat ohjeen mukaiset DMC:t. Malli on V. Engingerin (Grande Histoire de Noel).

Marialta sain lahjaksi tämän kauniin marjaisan koristeen. Lämmin kiitos sinulle Maria!

IN ENGLISH: Hello to all my wonderful blog friends. This is the last post of the year and at the same time the last Smalls SAL update. I stitched and finished this little Christmas bird on Belfast 32 ct white opalescent with recommended DMC threads. The design is by V. Enginger from Grande Histoire de Noel. This was my Christmas gift for Sari.

I have also received lovely gifts from friends. Maria sent for me berry ornament and gingerbread ornament I got from Sari. Warmly thanks both of you.

I want to thank you for all of your lovely comments throughout the year. I really appreciate that you take the time to write comments, it is always a pleasure to read them.

November smalls

Tänään on aika esitellä marraskuun pikkupistelyt. Aina jossain välissä sitä on ehtinyt muutamia pistojakin tekemään, vaikka yleisesti ottaen tuntuu siltä, ettei aikaa tahdo riittää käsitöille. Kaikenlaisia tapahtumia on ollut perhepiirissä ja yksi iloisimmista on, että olemme saaneet viidennen lapsenlapsen. Hänelle pistelin tuon Peatrix Potter pupun, joka on tulossa palaksi tilkkupeittoon.

Joyful World SAL on tullut päätökseen ja tässä minun Joulukuu. Kaikki mallit ovat olleet kivoja, mutta jos pitäisi valita niistä kolme, niin minun suosikit ovat tammikuu, kesäkuu ja tämä joulukuu. Ihan päätöksessä tämä SAL ei kuitenkaan ole vielä kohdallani, sillä minulla on jäänyt välistä heinä- ja elokuun mallit. Pistelen ne sitten joskus ensi vuoden puolella.

IN ENGLISH: Hello my blogging friends, thank you for your friendly comments again. I have had busy time and not so much time for blogging. I cant hardly believe that it is the end of November. How about you?

Today is Smalls Sal check-in day of November and I'm glad that I'm in good time although there have been so busy. Sal is hosted by Heather at Stitching Lotus.  My sidebar button will take you to her blog. This time I have two smalls to share you.
I have also glad news, I have got my fifth grandchild, lovely baby girl. I stitched Peatrix Potter bunny for her. It's one piece for the quilt which I was going to sew. I also finished the December Joyful World SAL. I really love this design.

All charts of this SAL has been so lovely but if you must choose three of them which are your favorites? My favorites are January, June and this December. I want to say big thank you for the Snowflower Diaries of this wonderful SAL.

Muutama viimeistely/Some finishes

Tässä pari syksyistä pistelyä. Molemmat ovat ilmaismalleja, 'syksyn aika'  löytyy täältä ja  keiju täältä.

Keijusarjasta pistelin myös tämän jouluisen ja pistin sen tuollaisen muovipallon sisään, vähän keinolunta pohjalle ja siinä yksi joulukoriste valmiina.

 Sain viimeisteltyä myös tämän Dear Santa mallin.

IN ENGLISH: As I told you in my last post  I have two finished autumnal stitching, so here they are. Both are freebies, 'Autumn time' pattern is from La Comtesse's blog and little fairy is design by Lucie Heaton. I have seen these cute fairies on Irene's blog. She has finished all the monthly fairies and they are so adorable. Thanks to Irene, that gave me inspiration.

I also stitched a Christmas fairy and I put it inside a plastic ball. Now it's a quite cute Christmas ball, isn't it. I thought to stitch a few more of these fairies.

Some days ago I also took little time to finish 'Dear Santa'. I finished it as a pillow with red fabric and lace. On the lace there is small diamonds but unfortunately they don't look very well on the photo.

Today is published the last part in the Joyful World SAL and it's so wonderful. I hope that I will have time to stitch it soon.

On the way to Christmas

Tänään on päivityksen aika lokakuun pikkupistelyille. Valitisin tällä kertaa pisteltäväksi jo jouluisia malleja. The Little Stitcherin Dear Santa malli oli pistelylistallani jo viime vuonna, mutta silloin se jäi haaveeksi. Pistelykankaana tässä on Vintage Country Mocha ja käytin muutoin DMC:n lankoja, mutta tytön takki ja kirjaimet pistelin Nina's thread Dark Chocolate langalla. Malli löytyy viime vuoden JCS Christmas ornament lehdestä.

Tämän vuoden lokakuun Cross Stitch Collection lehdestä puolestani löysin näiden tagien mallit. Näitä pikkumalleja oli rentouttavaa ja mukava pistellä.

Joyful World SALkin  lähenee jo loppuaan, tässä marraskuun pistelyni. Vähän minua harmittaa, kun en tullut vaihtaneeksi joitakin värejä, sillä varsinkin riikinkukon pyrstö ei miellytä silmääni. Jokin liukuvärjätty lanka olisi ehkä näyttänyt paremmalta. Laiska kun olin, niin en ruvennut purkamaan vaan näin nyt saa kelvata.

Viime viikolla oli syntymäpäiväni ja Sarilta sain näin ihanan paketin. Käärepapreia myöten kaikki oli mietitty niin herkullisesti yhteen. Suklaata, herkku mallikirja ja -kangasta sekä sokerina pohjalla vielä kaunis kakkupistely. Kiitos Sari!

JBW:n malli tykötarpeineen oli täysin odottamaton yllätysposti ristipistoyhdistykseltä. Tämä ei ilmeisesti kuitenkaan ollut synttäripaketti, mutta tulipahan kuitenkin juuri sopivasti :). Kiitos yhdistykselle!

I decided that it was time to start something for Christmas. So I chose this Dear Santa design by The Little Stitcher. I stitched it on Belfast Country Vintage Mocha with DMC and Nina's threads Dark Chocolate. This design is in Just Cross Stitch Ornaments 2015 magazine.

I also made some gift tags for Christmas. It was relaxing and fun to stitch these little charts. I found these from Cross Stitch Collection magazine (October 2016).

The Joyful World SAL is almost over, there is only one remaining. I'm looking forward to seeing what will be the last design for this SAL. Here is my November. It's stitched on Belfast Vintage Blue as my other months and I used DMC threads. Maybe I should have to make some color changes     because I'm not quite satisfied how it turns out now.

I have two small autumnal stitched pieces ready too, but I will show them next time, hopefully soon.

Last Thursday, I had a birthday and look at how wonderful gift I received from Sari. Stitched cake and everything else is so sweet. Thank you my friend.

I have also got surprise post from Finnish cross stitch association. They sent to me nice JBW design, threads and aida fabric. Thank you!

Smalls SAL of September

Nyt kun pääsi taas alkuun päivitysten suhteen, niin laitetaanpa perään heti toinen :) Se on nimittäin taas Smalls SAL päivityksen aika.  Tässä meneekin nyt kaksi kärpästä samalla iskulla, sillä pistelyni kuuluu myös Joyfyl Wordl SAL sarjaan. Ja samalla viimeistelytyylillä mennään kuin aikaisemminkin. Pari kuukautta tästä sarjasta jäi minulta nyt väliin, sillä heinä- ja elokuun mallit on jäänyt pistelemättä.

IN ENGLISH: Hello friends, thank you for your comments and welcome back wishes, them warms my heart. And surprise I'm here again. It's because yesterday was Smalls SAL check in time. Yes I'm little bit late, but yesterday I didn't have time. SAL is hosted by Heather at Stitching Lotus. She is generous and allows us to update our SAL pieces also in a few days late.
My small of September is at the same time stitching for Joyful World Sal.
This chart of October is again cute with hedgehog and snail although I hate snails in my garden.

I took a picture of my autumnal display too. They all have stitched by me except the smallest pillow in the front of  the basket. The squirrel with pumpkins I have received from my friend Sari few years ago.

Kukkaisat pistot

Hei vaan kaikki blogiystävät! Pitkä tovi on päässyt vierähtämään viime päivityksestä. Aika- ja motivaatiopula on pitänyt otteessaan, mutta katsotaan jos tässä vielä piristyisi syksyn mittaan blogia päivittämään. Tässä nyt muutamia kuvia alkuun.

Tämä villiruusu on ilmaismalli Ellen Maurer-Stroh kuukausikukka sarjasta. Pistelty valkoiselle pellavalle DMC:n langoin. Tälle on kaveri tulossa ja tarkoitus olisi viimeistellä ne sitten yhteen.

Heinäkuun pistelytapaaminen pidettiin Sarin nimpparipäivänä ja hänelle annoin tämän onnittelukortin. Iloisen suloinen keijutyttö on Lucie Heatonin  kuukausikeijusarjasta. Minusta nämä kaikki keijut ovat niin viehkoja, että tekisipä mieli pistellä jokainen.

Minä sain tuolloin Sarilta tuliaisena tämän sievän kesäisen koristetyynyn.

V.Engingerin pelargonia työni valmistui myös jo alkukesästä. Alunperin ajattelin tämän tauluksi kehystää, mutta työn valmistuttua mieli alkoi muuttua. Jospa sittenkin tyynyksi. No, edelleen on päättämättä.....taulu vai tyyny.....tyyny vai taulu, mietitään, mietitään .....:)

IN ENGLISH: Hello blogging friends since a long time. I have lost my motivation to update  this blog and I have noticed that it's day after day more difficult  to start again. But well, now I'm here and I try to share for you some my stitching.

The wild rose is freebie from  'Flower of the Month' series by Ellen Maurer-Stroh. I have stitched it on white linen with DMC.  At the moment I'm working on with another flower from the same serie and thought I will finish them together.

In july  I met my local stitching friends and the day when we met was also Sari's nameday. I gave for her the fairy card. It's design by Lucie Heaton. You can find the chart from here. In turn I got beautiful small pillow from Sari.

At the beginning of the summer I also managed to finish my Geranium stitching. It's design by V. Enginger, one of my favourite designers. I haven't yet decided if I'll frame it, or if I'll sew it as a pillow. What do you think which one would be better?
