Most classic games are renowned for their groundbreaking or timeless gameplay, but the original Defender of the Crown was renowned for its groundbreaking audiovisuals -- on the bleeding-edge Commodore Amiga, at least -- which were tied together with a Risk-like strategy segment and a handful of arcade sequences scarcely deeper than the average Atari 2600 cart. Being 14 at the time of DotC's release, I was in the prime of my graphic whoredom, and cared considerably less about the repetitive gameplay than the stunning 32-color pictures of big-bosomed damsels in distress.
