Working at the Castle...

I have been MIA these days so i thought i would do a quick post on where i have been this past month.  I have had the opportunity to do a few quick trips to both Disney World and to Minnesota and my mom has been in the hospital so i haven't had much time to blog lately, but i am slowly catching up with things and getting lots done so i should have more to post soon.

I did have time to make a neat page for a co worker at Disneyland.  She is such an amazing
person and when they had their anniversary she posted this picture and i new i needed to make something special for them.  So since they are both from Hawaii i used some papers that i had in my stash from Kaisercraft and asked her to give me one word that describes the photo in Hawaiian.  Their word was Hiki Ole Ke Na Ha and it means unbroken.  And if you knew the two of them you would know that there isn't a better word that describes the love they have for each other.

The colors of the papers couldn't have been more perfect and when i gave it to them they were so happy.  And crazy enough it went perfect with some of the things they already had up on their wall.
I love doing special things for my family and friends and i think that is what makes what we do so fun and wonderful.

And this page i did for C'est Magnifique kits last month but i wanted to share it too.  These two beauties work with me too and they took this super cute picture with Thor.  It's really fun doing
what we do at the castle and I love working with the amazing people that i do!

So this is Rachel and a sneak peak of our boutique.  Yep we make magic
everyday for all of you that visit... it's the best part of our days.

And this is some of the other girls i work with... they are amazing :)

And that is it for today but i will post some of my other pictures in a couple of
days so be sure and check back...

C'est Magnifique Pocket page challenge for January

It's time for another fun challenge up on the C'est Magnifique blog today!  Since
there are so many of you that do pocket pages we have a few ideas to share with
you using the new kit available this month.  I did mine using the tags page that comes
in it and made a quick and simple page for some upcoming photos i need to do.

Since the object of this way of scrapbooking should be quick and simple i went ahead and started
by using the cards that come on the tag page as my center line.  Here i can add journaling if i
need to and names or important places with the letters in the kit.  For the outside four photos
i used the cardstock for the base and inked around each one with gingerbread ink.  Then i cut
white card to use for matting on each and added some tags and left over flowers that i had. All
of this comes in the Basic Kit so there is plenty left over to do more pocket pages...

This has to be pretty flat so that you don't ruin your photos so the flowers and letters
were all that i really could use for it.  You can add some ribbon for borders or maybe
a flat button or 2.  There really is lots that you can do with this paper line.  And the
best part of it is that this is all my left overs from the other projects that i did so it shows
that you really get lots of fun goodies to use.

Thanks so much for stopping over to see what is new and be sure and check
out all the other pages on the challenge today... and don't forget to show us what you
made with it.  Have a fun and crafty day!!  Teresa

A Sewers tribute to Grandma

Grandmas are always special to the members of their families and when we lose them
so many pictures and stories come out and are shared with family and we remember
all the good times with them.  My husbands grandmother was a gem.  She was so sweet
in everything she did in her life and i am so very sad that she is in heaven now
but she lived 100 amazing years and had so much to give and share
with us so i am sharing one of many pages that i did of her through the years.

I am going to have to play with the colors on the photos more, these are the ones
that they had up on display but i wanted to share the cute papers that they had to use.
I was lucky enough to get her button box, thimble and measuring tape and for
that i am so thankful because like all of us she was a crafter and i love what she
made for us all through the years.  She was the best and had such a good heart.

And since there were so many cute things to print i did alot of
the patterns and prints in the "Sew Decorative CD"  The colors were
so pretty and bright and cheerful and they all came out great when i
printed them up.  I used the printed ruler paper for the card above and
mixed it with one of the digital images and aqua paper that matched.
And just for a bit of nostalgia i cut them with a few of my favorite
Victorian dies that they just released this year from Spellbinders.

And for the bag above i have a friend who sews alot like me and we
actually met working at Leah's fabric gallery.  So i thought this would
be fun to make up so i can give her a fun gift card for the quilt store
and maybe some candies.  I really love the colors on this one.....

And this card is a little mixture of alot of things.  I tend to keep all the
bits and pieces of papers so i can use them again and this cute little
postcard that i printed out went great with papers printed off of the
"Topography CD".  And i didn't want to lose that pretty rose so i
punched a couple of holes across the card and tied the ribbon on the
side so that i can keep all that gorgeous postcard showing.  All the
ribbons i used are from "Really Reasonable Ribbon.com".

And lastly .... i know i have lots to share from "Crafty Secrets" today, I
have a cute little card that i made from the same postcard sheet above
but i thought i would fussy cut the design out instead and mat it with
a pretty die cut and add some ribbons.  The pink printed paper is also
the same as the sewing card but a different color and it works so good
on this card.  For the sentiment i used some letters from my stash and
you could also use a clear adhesive sentiment in there too if you want.

Just a few fun ideas for you today.  But head on over to the Crafty Secrets
website and see what's new for downloads this month and have fun
creating your own cards and gifts to give too.

Have a wonderful and crafty day....Teresa

Wedding page with Ruby Rock-it papers

Hi everyone--- it's so nice to have you stop over and see what's new with me.  It's
been a busy weekend at the castle and i need to post a few things i have been doing
so i did this page of my nephew and his bride and thought i would share it.

Ruby Rock-it has some gorgeous wedding papers out for this spring for all those
amazing projects you need to get made and i especially love this one in black
and white.  It's from the Bella Collection and called True Love.  I created a simple
base for my photos and then used rings with dies and open circles to signify eternity.
I used the silver glitter adhesive letters that came in the set too so that it would match
all the pretty bling that i put on it.

I esspecially love the sweet tag that was with this paper set.  It went so perfect
with the photo and how much they adore each other.  And the flowers are so
pretty too.  You can get all of this set on the website here....

And here is a quick close-up of their bling.  They have both
lace and strips of rhinestones in this set so it's great for using across
 the bottom under photos.

I have to run... lots and lots to get up and posted for this week so
i hope you have a wonderful day where ever you may live and thanks so
very much for taking the time to stop over.

Out in the Deep Blue Sea...

It's been way too long since my last post but if you don't see much of me
be sure and check out the posts on Quietfire, Really Reasonable Ribbon,
or Ruby Rock-it and i am sure you will find something fun there too.

Today i have a page to share and don't be shocked-- i know.. it's been awhile
for one but this paper was so perfect for my photo of my niece i just had to
jump at the inspiration and get it done.  The papers are of course from Ruby
Rock-it (Something Blue Collection) but they are wedding ones
so i flipped them over and this is what i ended up with.
The photo is from Kona Hawaii when she was over this past year.
I spend every day in the water when we go over on vacation -so i wanted to
make it simple since she is in the middle of the ocean in the deep blue sea....
so very, very happy :)

I think one of my favorite papers is the aqua shade geography paper in the back.
It picked up the water so nice and the die cut of A Beautiful moment was perfect.
I added some stenciling in the backround and a big circle around the photo but
it's a little hard to see since it is clear and glittery.  I wanted it to be more like water
so in person it looks pretty cool.

The circle dies are from Spellbinders Celebrations line and it's an awesome
die in that you can cut alot of them at one time.  It's called Fun Filled Rings
and it is exactly that.  I also added a bit of jute ribbon to run through my tag
and finished it with bubble letters from Authentique in aqua.  It's super simple
but it was fun and now i can put it up in my scraproom to share.

Thanks so much for stopping by today :)
Hugs and Smiles... Teresa

RRR and Heartfelt Creations

Today our team is part of a really fun blog hop with all the talented
girls on the Heartfelt Creations team.  We both got to exchange products
and today i have a page and a few cards to share with you that i did with
the Daphne Collection and a few of the stamp sets that i had in my stash.

If you have been hopping along with all of us you should have
hopped over from Bonnies Blog and if you just started I posted
all the links at the bottom for you to see all the things we have for you!!

For this project you will need the Sunkissed Flower stamp set and
the open leaf stamp set.  I used papers from the 12x12 set and stamped
them in burgundy ink and cut them.  Then i shaped them with a stylus
and glued them together.  The back paper is layered with a few
Spellbinders circle dies that i had cut and tucked under the 2 photos.

For my ribbons i used Bias Seam Binding in ivory and just a small
piece of the sheer burgundy ribbon to set it off.  I also added just a small
piece of ivory crochet lace to balance out the bottom of the page. The
glitzy gold is from BBunny and the pearls from Want2Scrap.
I love the way she smiles so my title i think was perfect to
finish the page with.  Now to find a frame to hang it up on the wall...
Love that part the best :)

My first card is using the same flower set and i added one from
the Delicate Asters set and the leaf set.  I made border with an SB
die and then added one of the precut rectangles that come in
the kit.  It fit perfect and after i glued the flower on i just added
a pretty pink bias tape ribbon to finish it off with at the bottom. I think
that those are my favorite ribbons to put on projects and RRR carries
every color under the sun so you always have something to match.
And you can do your own custom ribbons too with white so i really
like that alot too. Guess I better get an order in soon for me!

So next on your hop is the uber talented Cherry.....

Be sure and leave a comment, it's always so nice to hear from you :)

Hugs and Smiles, Teresa

Fall Page to share today

So we are finally getting a little rain our way here in Southern
California and it's really nice.  I can't wait to go to Riley's this year
and get pumpkins and go have lunch at Hawk's head house.  I am
sure it's going to be a great year for pumpkins.

This page was one that i did with photos from last year when we went
to visit Indiana.  They had so many pumpkin patches and one had
these giant pumpkins so we all jumped out and had fun getting some
photos.  My favorite part was my niece pretending to be a scarecrow.
She looked so cute so i just had to do this page of her.
I used lots of fall papers and fussy cut some of the tags and leaves
to make the border on it. The flowers are from Bo Bunny and prima.
It was super quick and easy to do.

And one last quick thing for today is a fall card that i did
with this cute paper from Imaginesce and one of the fun little
stickers that came with it.  The die in the back is another one from
the new release. It is called Decorative Labels 41 and it's another of my favs.
The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and
the metal leaf is from Magenta.

New Spellbinders Team for 2014/ 2015

I am so excited to announce that i have made the
Spellbinders Design Team
again for my 3rd year!!  It's incredible and amazing and I am so
happy to be on this journey again with 9 more of the most talented
ladies i know.  Not to mention the Spellbinders Blog Team that
always set the bar for all of us so very high with what they do!!

Over on the blog you can see more of what i would say best
shows my style.  I love intricate things and for this page i only
used 3 sheets of white Bazzill paper and lots of amazing Spellinders
dies and embossing folders to create the backround, doilies and
all the flowers.  The colors i did by inking them and then the magic
just happens.  I love my dies and what you can create with them and I
am over the moon happy with the excitement of the coming year ahead!!

Be sure and check out the Spellbinders Blog all week to see who all the
other new team members are and what they have to share with you!!

Another Wedding page

Today i am sharing 2 more pages with pictures of Kendall's wedding.
The first page is the bridesmaids with my beautiful niece in the center
and the second is the all of them.  I could not for the life of me get good
color on these.. it's really sunny and hot here in So Cal but the colors
look good with the girls and i tried to bring the garden wedding feel
into it by adding the piece of lattice with the Spellbinders die and doing
a few frames in the back like a photo booth.  I tried to make it simple
and use some of the same papers for both to keep the theme.

The papers are all from My Minds Eye and all the dies are from
Spellbinders. Even the letters on it, which is such a neat thing to have
because i can do whatever color i want.  Don't they all look so pretty!!

This is Kendall and her new husband and the bridesmaids.  They
all work for Disney so they got married in Florida in a really beautiful
garden and the day came out just perfect!!  Time to get these into the
frames I bought and over to my niece now.  I am still making her a book
for lots of the other pictures so that's all for today.  I need to shop for some
more papers to finish it up.  Thanks for stopping by :)

Sisterly Love

I love getting old photos from family members and this photo
was such a treasure for me to see my mom and my uncle
together when they were growing up.  I did a page using
both new and old Spellbinders dies and mixing them up to
create a wonderful keepsake for me and for my kids forever.

To make this page I used some brand new papers from Fancy Pants
that really went well with the greys in the photo.  I love the texture that
the new dies give to the paper and you get so much versatility when you
combine them with all the other dies that Spellbinders carries.

You can get the complete list of dies and papers that i
used if you check the Spellbinders gallery page here....

UR so Cute page

I love when I get things up in the  SB Gallery and today I get
to share one of my favorite pages on my niece and her cousin.

They had a really fun day together at Disneyland and
both of them got their faces painted and I couldn't have
asked for a cuter picture of the two of them! I love the bright
and cheerful papers and they went perfect with their outfits.

For my page you can see it here in the Spellbinders gallery
and it also has directions and a list of supplies to make it.
All the flowers and doilies I Cut/ Embossed from the dies and it's
great to be able to do custom things whenever I want and
they always match perfect to the project I am doing.

Hope you all are having a really great Monday
and be sure and stop back for more fun inspiration this week!

CSI Case File S365-1

I am barely getting in for the case file this month but I am
happy to have finished another couple of pages and it
reminds me that I need to get more done for my trip.  This time
CSI has a fun travel challenge and I did some pages on
our trip up to Canada to Niagara Falls and Niagara by the Lake.

so ....First I want to share the things I needed to make my page...

It was a really fun file and there were lots of things to
think about with it.  I always have fun and it really makes
me think outside the box when creating.  So my page today
is about this really neat and old hotel that I found while on my
journey in Niagara by the Lake.

There where so many neat places in this town and
I would love to live there with all the beautiful victorian
stores and shops and beautiful houses.  I really had a nice
time there and can't wait to go back someday.

Some of the evidence I need was metal, a sunburst,
journaling, stripes, a title and the cute little passport book.

If you get time be sure and stop over to see some of the other
neat pages that everyone posts for this Casefile.
Thanks for stopping over and hope you have a great day!

Yosemite page

Hi Everyone.. yep I do pages too.... but not so much
with all the cards I have been making-- but I made some time to
put together some pages of our trip to Yosemite
this spring.  It was really fun and we had some snow
but the valley was still great to hike and I got some
wonderful photos of the trees... and some funny stories.

I got a big set of this paper line from WeR and it's
filled with lots of stickers, papers and goodies
so it was really easy to scrap my trip.
The photo on the left is Yosemite Falls right where
a famous man named John Muir had his cabin.  Can you imagine
waking up each day to that view.. I would have loved it
actually.  Being up in the mountains is my one place
of true serenity.  I love all the smells, trees and the rivers..

That's it for today but thanks for stopping!
Have a good Wednesday,
and hope you do something creative today....
