So, I was still playing with Serendipity's Acorn's and Sweetgum stamp. So I created an alcohol ink background and stamped it with the image and then stamped again onto white cardstock. The result is this blended and muted color image. It was fussy cut and mounted onto layers of white cardstock. The background is a watercolored panel I created a while back... thought it worked perfect with this sweet image. The sentiment is Serendipity's Peace and Love... I masked off the "and yours".

Here's a little close up... when I photoshopped, the leaves are a little darker than IRL. The full card pic is more true to the softness of the colors.

This week I was able to do a quick inside....

The sentiment is Serendipity's Winter Fenceline cling set.

So, this time I played with the Boo Die which is the special this month. First I created a panel using alcohol inks in Halloween colors. Originally, when I cut out all those "Boo's" out, I was going to make a background using the positive of the die (seen below with my witch) but, I ended up saving all of the positive pieces and gluing them to the negative of the alcohol ink panel. Added a little patterned paper and some ribbon.

For this card I used the Witch from the Halloween Pops Cling set. She was stamped and colored with copics. Again I added a little patterned paper and one of the positive Boo dies from the alcohol ink panel.

The panel behind was sponged with orange and yellow inks (to show through the open circles/snowballs. Then I added some Halloween ribbon for fun!! For the focal image, I stamped the Pumpkins on a Fence (50% off stamp of the month)- colored with copics and fussy cut. It was layered on top with foam for dimension.

So I played with the Oak Leaf die set. A while back I was playing with some alcohol inks in warm colors and this sheet was one of the results. As I was thinking about my card for this hop-I thought it would be perfect for some beautiful leaves

Here's a little close up of the leaves. Aren't they gorgeous and alcohol inks are fun to play with!! The oval was die cut with a Cherry Lynn die and I used Serendipity's Woodgrain Background stamp for the inner circle (tone on tone stamping). I added some twine and buttons for a little something. The Autumn die was cut twice and adhered a little offset for some color.

So, I played with this month's 50% off image...Acorns and Sweetgum

When I started this card, I stamped the image for a background onto watercolor paper and heat embossed with gold. Then, I colored the image with my zigs. Yes, acorns and leaves can be different colors (in my world anywho!) Then,  decided to spritz with water and the colors ran- not exactly what I was going for :) It is pretty IRL.

Here's a little close up of the sentiment. I die cut the Thanks in the pink card stock as well as gold and layered them slightly offset. The sentiment was adhered with foam dots for dimension.

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop- July #1

First, Happy Happy July 4th to all the US stampers out there. I will be hanging at the pool tomorrow with my youngest daughter, youngest granddaughter, and hubs!! Hope you enjoy your day and any celebrations you have planned!!

It's time for the Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop! We're changing it up this year- there will be two hops each month as usual and there will be opportunities to win $ to purchase Serendipity Stamps. The design team will be showing you the latest products and offering a chance for you to win some goodies from Serendipity Stamps.

You should have arrived here from Marybeth Lopez blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below. I have a clean and simple card for you today.

So, this image is all in one.... It's Five O'Clock Fun image for summer (well, depending all year 'round) I stamped the image with Versamark black ink and colored with copics. When creating a CAS card you can add little elements to give it a little sumthin' sumthin'

For this card I added a wonky frame, popped it up on the base with foam, and added crystal effects (glassy effect to the glasses- you can's see it the pic but, IRL it looks good). Other ideas may be to add some twine, glitter on the rims of a couple of the glasses, sequins, liquid applique for foam on the beer mug etc. etc.

For the inside I added this Rest, Relax sentiment- perfect for a little summertime libation :-)

You should have arrived here from Marybeth Lopez blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below. I have a kinda' clean and simple card for you today.

So, I'm still in the beach mode, that time of year.... right!! So I played with the Lighthouse die. The background was water colored with blues and browns for the sands using distress oxide inks. After the ink was sponged onto the watercolor card stock- I sprayed with water. This was done several times to get the color variation I wanted. When the sky was 99% dry I added some clouds using the same distress oxide ink but, without spraying the water. I added some white splatters to the sand. The Lighthouse die was cut several times for layers and to get the red accents.

I thought the sentiment- My Life- is one of my favs- this girl is dreaming about sitting on a beach with no cares in the world :-)
