Believe...

 ...in YOURSELF

This is an important message for all!  Believe in yourself and you can accomplish ANYTHING!

Michele here today with a slimline card, one of my new go to sizes for cards this year!!

Stamps used:  Doodled Triangles, Round Brushstrokes Small,  Believe in Yourself, Elephant on Bike

I colored the Ellie with Copic markers and of course the background is a gelli print using Dina Wakley paints and stencils.

Did you notice the washi designed by DeeDee as the road the elephant is riding on??  The sentiment is stamped in archival ink and mounted on black card.

If an elephant can ride a bike YOU can do anything if you just BELIEVE!

Until next time...get inky!

Michele here with another spread in the Scribble Girl Journal!!
I thought this quote was perfect because to me the Scribble Girls are anything BUT what you would expect!!

Stamps used:  Oval Face Scribble Girl, X Circle

This girl was stamped and then fussy cut, colored with Posca Paint Pens and adhered to the page that has a background with Dina Wakley Media paint, gloss sprays and stencils.  Marks are made with Posca Paint Pens.

Hope everyone is staying AND inspired.

Until next time...get inky.

The World is my Runway

Guess who...???  Yep, it is me again!  AND I have another page to show you from my book, just like I promised last time.

Stamps used: Spiky Hair Scribble Girl, The World is my Runway

This page has the matching scribble girl chip board piece from Um Wow Studio, OMG!  I colored her with Posca Paint Pens.

I love the stamp and matching chip layered!

If you remember from last time I have used Dina Wakley Media Gloss Sprays, Paints and Stencils for the background.  I outlined and doodled on the stenciled images with Posca Paint Pens.

So I will make another promise to bring you another page next month...actually 2 pages for both of my spots for March.  AND probably some pages in April too.  I am in LOVE with these scribble girls!!!  I just can't get enough of using them and I am excited to have an entire little book dedicated to them!!  Maybe is it because they remind me of ME.

Until next time...get inky!

Enjoy Your Life

HAPPY AUGUST!!!
Michele here with a project that I have been wanting to try for quite some time...a custom phone case!!!
It was super easy and so much fun!!  I started by ordering a clear phone case on Amazon.  Then some gelli printing with Dina Wakley paints and stencils, stamping and coloring...here is what I came up with.

Stamps used:  Banksy Wall Singer, Rows of Numbers, Cross Marks Background, Carved X's, Enjoy Your Life.

It was very easy to trace the case and cut the paper to fit.

I just LOVE it and can see so many possibilities for so many more inserts!!!

Until next time...get inky!

They were...

How is 2019 treating you so far???  GOOD I hope!!!  Now how about a little Viva Las VegaStamps! Inspiration!?!!???

Michele here today with a pair of tags.

These kraft tags started off with gelli printed background using Dina Wakley paints.

After the paint dried the animal heads were stamped in archival ink and the scribble border was stamped and colored with Posca Paint pens.  The the heads were masked so the background could be stamped.

The animal heads were colored with Prisma Colored pencils.

A little outline stamping and doodling,,,

I used the same stamp for the sentiment on both tags...a little washi and a letter or two can be blocked off.

Some left over bits of one of my favorite May Arts ribbons to finish off the tags  AND there you go!

Until next time...get inky!

Wish You Were Here

HAPPY 2019!!!  I am so excited to be back again this term on the Viva Las VegaStamps CORE Team!!  Lots of inspiration coming your way from a fantastic CORE group and GUEST group!!

Michele here today sharing a quick art journal page.  This year I haven't been able to see my dearest friend in California much at all because of both of our schedules and this page was inspired by how much I am missing him!

The background is done with Dina Wakley paints and my gelli plate.  I stamped the Victorian Flower Background in Sky DWM paint.

Archival ink for the bicycle which I masked and then stamped the brick background in brown and red archival ink.  I stamped the bricks a bit wonky to make the wall seem a bit dilapidated.

May 2019 bring you all happiness and a bit more traveling for me!!
Until next time...get inky!

Merry & Bright | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone!
Sue Plumb here with my latest VLVS design team project for you. Given that Christmas is a mere week away (eeeek!) and we have an "Ugly Christmas Sweater" challenge this month (details HERE), I thought it might be timely to share a scrapbook layout featuring some of the recently released Christmas stamps and a photo of my kids with Santa.

As it is summer time here in Australia at Christmas (and partly because I am not a fan), I tend to steer away from the "traditional" red / forest green Christmas colour combination and lean towards brighter colours that more accurately reflect our season.

I began this page with some white Bazzill cardstock and Dina Wakley acrylic paints (turquoise, lime, sky, blushing and ruby), which I applied using a brayer and my fingers to build up some layers of colour. I also splattered some Colour Blast 'Soot' Colour Artist Ink around the page.

I then took an assortment of Christmas-themed stamps and used them to add some interest to my background. I used a combination of black StazOn ink and Paradise Teal Ranger Archival ink. The stamps I used were:

I then added a variety of patterned paper pieces from Cocoa Vanilla Studio to form a layered mat for my photo, before adding some frayed gauze and my photo on top.

To embellish my page, I used some cool chipboard Christmas trees from the Yuletide MASH pack by UmWow Studio, which I coloured using a gold paint pen before sticking them down with a liquid adhesive.

I layered the chipboard trees with some assorted Christmas themed wood veneer pieces; flair button; resin star; enamel dots; and red & white paper flowers from Cocoa Vanilla Studio; plus a few tiny pale blue flowers from D-lish Scraps.

For my page title, I stamped the May Your Days Be Merry stamp a couple of times, then overlaid it with a merry&bright wood veneer piece (also from Cocoa Vanilla Studio and coloured gold with a paint pen).

To finish off my page I added my handwritten journalling with a Sharpie, and some splatters of Colour Blast 'Bling' Colour Shimmer Spray.

Thanks so much for stopping by today so I could share this with you. I hope I have inspired you to document your precious Christmas memories too or perhaps get an entry in for the December monthly challenge.
I would like to take this opportunity wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year!

Find Your Tribe

Hi Groupies!!!  Michele here today sharing a tag I created with more of the fantabulous stamps designed by Tina Walker!!

I started by cutting my own tage shapre out of a piece of mixed media paper I had painted up with Dina Wakley paints; Olive, Cheddar, Sedona, Blushing.

Stamps used:  Ethos Woman (Tina Walker), Ethos Sunrise(Tina Walker) , Ethos Flower (Tina Walker), Find Your Tribe  (Cat Kerr).

Masking is one of my favorite techniques and this stamp is pefect for that!

A little fussy cutting and doodling, of course, with posca paint pens and my stabilo!

A little Sari ribbon to top it off and viola!!!

See you soon, until then...get inky!!
