TWO BUTTERFLY TAGS - by Fran Chalmers

Hi everyone!

Today I have made two small tags using the same stamps and similar colours, but they are quite different. I hope you like them.

For the first tag, I made a background using Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch distress oxides, mixed with water on a mat.

I then stamped round the edge with Writing and Scibbles Collage stamp  in Versafine Clair Blue Belle to add some interest.

I then stamped the main image in Versafine Clair Nocturn in the centre of the tag.  I masked off the top butterfly so the image would fit on the tag!

I went round the edge of the tag with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide, and added some sequins to give some texture and sparkle.

With the second tag, I started by stamping the image onto white card with Versafine Clair Blue Belle. I then went round the edge with Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass.

Again, I added some interest round the edge using the Writing and Scribbles Collage stamp, this time stamped in Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass

I then added some splats in blue Posca pen, and went round the very edge with Distress Oxide in Blueprint Sketch. I also added some clear dew drop gems for some bling.

To finish both tags, I added some threads in coordinating colours.

Other items used:

MAY YOU TOUCH DRAGONFLIES - by Fran Chalmers

Hello everyone.

Today I have made a simple CAS card. This wasn't my first attempt as I did start it with a coloured background, but decided that the stamp was too delicate and needed a plain, white background.

I stamped the image straight onto the card blank with Versafine Clair Nocturn.

I coloured the image with Kuretake pens, then went over the moon with a Wink of Stella (clear) to give it a bit of sparkle.

I added some silver glitter pen to the fairy's wings.

I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Clair Very Peri to compliment the fairy's wings.

Lastly, I went round the edges of the card with silver glitter pen

Stamps Used:

Fairy on Moon 12512

May you touch dragonflies 19753

Other items used:

Versafine Clair in Nocturn and Very Peri

Kuretake pens

MASTER OF DISGUISE by Fran Chalmers

 Hello everyone!

Today I have made a tag using a couple of my favourite stamps.  I love the huge clockface and the Whimsical Rat Guy!

To make the background I used acrylic paint sprays in Periwinkle and Emerald Green, mixed with a bit of water.

I stamped the main images onto the tag, then used Versafine Clair ink in Monarch to stamp round the edge to add texture and interest.

I stamped the rat onto some thick paper then coloured and cut him out before sticking him to the tag.

I used pencils and a gold metallic pen to enhance colour on the clockface.

I added some fibres to the top of the tag and a sentiment (which I made look like it was hanging from the clock by freehand drawing).

Whimsical Rat Guy 20179

Writing and Scribbles Collage 20695

VALENTINE CARD BY FRAN CHALMERS

 Hi everyone!

It's nearly Valentine's Day so I thought I'd make a fun card for my other half - and he'll tell you that the sentiment is definitely true!

First of all I smooshed my card with Distress Ink in Kitsch Flamingo

I used a stencil from my stash to do the hearts in the same colour

And then I went round the edge with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink

I stamped the main image with Versafine Clair Nocturn on thick paper and coloured it with Kuretake watercolour pens, then fussy cut it out.

I added the sentiment (which I cut up) and used red posca pen round the edges. I mounted the whole card onto a red mat.

WORTH CATCHING - by Fran Chalmers

Hi everyone.  Today I have made a quick card using one ink pad and only a few stamps.  I hope you like it.

I made the background by using the border stamp, which I stamped in Twilight Verserfine Clair.  I had to stamp it twice to fill the space by just turning the card so the edges were the same.

I then stamped the image of the lady onto thick paper in the same coloured ink as the background and coloured just the bow on her hair, her lips and the edge of her hat and neck.  I love the expression on her face!

Before putting her on the background, I trimmed round the background and mounted it onto card the same colour as the bow.  I also stamped the sentiment in Twilight and mounted it onto the same pink card.

A very quick and easy card, but I think quite striking!

Other Items Used:

Versafine Clair ink in Twilight
Sweet Poppy Stencil watercolour pens
Pink Card
