Don’t make me get my flying monkeys. By Tracy Blackwolf

Hello all! And Happy October! My favorite month…

I hope you enjoy my card for this week.

For this card, I started by stamping all of the images first.

Then I painted the whole background with distress spray stains and water and a brush. I really love doing water color with them as I like the way they blend.
I kept playing with color and adding more color until I was happy with the sky. It was pretty wet and time to walk way for the day so it got to dry overnight. Which is rare for me but it definitely has a different look than when I heat dry it. I came back and added more color to the sky again. Not too much.
Next I painted the bat and the witch.
Things always look different on camera than in person and I had issue with part of the sky by her broom. It was not blended right to me. I can be a perfectionist. It’s annoying. lol.  So, of coarse I had to fix it. I also felt she needed a bit of magic mist to be flying on so I added so white pan pastel. Then I layered the card onto cardstock. I was going for a bit of old time Halloween card look so hopefully that comes across.
The little bat seems just curious but the witch isn’t up for any shenanigans.

I hope you enjoyed- enjoy fall…it’s far too short.

Old Bats by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello everyone!

For my project today I made a card....

I used a background from my stash-its a mix of Distress spray stains and distress oxides.

I stamped flock of bats on the background, Next I stamped the bats and bat wings and cut them out. I stamped the senior ladies and fussy cut them as well.

I painted everything with water colors and spray stains. I put the bat wings on the back and "fluffed" them. I used a double layer of foam tape and put them on the card.
I then Got all of the words together and put them on.
Pretty easy card but fun!

One wicked beast.. by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello everyone!

I know its the middle of summer but Halloween is in the stores now and of coarse for me ,Halloween is every day!

I hope you enjoy my art tag for this week~

For this tag, I  used one I had in my stash that I had die cut the claw mars out of. The background is cracklin campfire and black soot spray stains. For the background seen through the claw marks, I sprayed a new tag with wilted violet and shaded lilac spray stains and then stamped the flock of bats all over.

Then I glued the two tags together.

I stamped the cat and bat wings and fussy cut them and then glued the wings to the cat.
I then stamped the hanging bats and the cemetery onto the tag. I used a white gel pen for the eyes of the bats.
I wanted the cat to stand out so I painted him in neon colors using reinkers.
I used foam tape to attach him to the tag. I used a bit of glitter glue on the green tips of his wings and  a word stick from TH. And that's it!
I hope this gets you in the Halloween spirit!

Halloween night by Tracy Blackwolf

Hello everyone!

Here is my card for this weeks project. Its a lovely creepy Halloween eve.

for this card, I started with the moon. I wanted a really creepy moon so I used the skull as the face.

For this, I stamped the moon in a gray ink, stamped on scratch paper first then on my cardstock.

Then for the skull, I inked the skull stamp, wiped off the ink around the face and stamped gently on scratch paper then onto the moon. Took a few times to get it just right. Keeping in mind, the ink will lighten a bit when dry. Next step was to get my main card ready So I got out my ever trusty sprays.

So I got out my "sunset colors and just started spraying. I love the mixed media heavy stock post cards, they can handle alllll the inks. I keep adding inks until I'm happy. Sometimes I dry a bit with heat tool before adding more.
I painted the moon and stamped and fussy cut the house and then painted it. After the card was dry I stamped the old tree. Then I added bats and the grave stones and the fence. again, keep in mind inks will lighten when completely dry. I used foam tape on the  house and double stick tape on the moon and attached to the card. Added a bit of orange to the windows to give more life and used white gel pen to color teeth of skull.
Yes, I often have images that go outside the card, I still need to layer this at this point but it still is outside the edges and that's okay, I just get a larger envelope if its one I'm giving away.
Also, this is one in a series of moons I will be doing in a row.
Thanks for looking, I hope you're inspired.
