Today Is Magical

Hello, my dear stampahiolics!

I hope you're having a wonderful day!

I have an art journal page to share with you today,
using two Viva Las Vegastamps, Pan Pastels, and of course,
Stickles!!

I hope you like it!

Want to make it?
Alllllrighty, then!

What you'll need:
Book to work in (mine is watercolor paper)
Pan Pastels (or other soft pastels)
Permenant inks- brown & black
Spray sealer (I use Krylon)
Tree stencil
Scraps of white card stock
Scrap of colored card stock
Die cutter
(or, alternatively, you can use a stamped sentiment)
Stickles
Scissors
Stuff to color with (I used markers)

Create your background using the pastels.
I started with the grassy area and used three greens.
Start with the lightest color first, and work your way to
the darkest color.
Once the grass is laid in, start on the sky. I used three blues.
Once all the color is on, blend it.
Spray with sealer.

Add the trees using a stencil and brown pastel.
When you life of the stencil. lightly swipe over the page with
a cloth or paper towel, to seoften the edges.
Spray with sealer.

Now start stamping the flowers across the bottom of the page.
I stamped some in brown and some in black.
Color as desired.
(I used a white gel pen on some of them)

Now, get that white card stock out and stamp some flowers and a fairy.
Trim closely and stick the images onto the Miracle Tape sheet.
Color as desired and cut out.
I cut the flowers and just used parts of them.
Remove the liner from the Miracle Tape and place the
fairy on the page. Add the flowers in front of and around her.

Cut out or stamp your sentiment and add to the page.
Scribble Stickles around the words,
and use your finger to tap the Stickles around and up the page.

I also added black Stickles to my words.

Set aside to dry, and you're done!

And, here's your wiener!

Wieners Full of Love

Hello, hello, hello!

Aimee here, with  a cute little Valentine's day card to share.

I would bet that by now, you know how I love
my Dachshunds...Wiener jokes abound at my house.

Well, when I saw the "bark if you love somebody"
stamp, I had to have it to use with my wieners!!

So, do ya wanna make it?

Alllllrighty, then!!!
Here's what you need:
a folded card
cardstock to mat with
watercolor paper
watercolor paint
paint brush & water
paper towel
heat gun
any clear Stickles
scissors
colored pencils, markers, whatever you want to color with
pop dots or foam tape
corner rounder
paper trimmer
ribbon, trim, etc
Miracle Tape
permenant ink - I used Ranger's Archival ink

Of course, you can create this card
with any colors, but I'm a pink girl,
so of course I made a Valentine card in pink!

Slap some pink watercolor paint onto some watercolor paper.
Dry with the heat gun about half way, then flip the
paper over onto your work surface and pick up the spots of paint.
Dry the rest of the way with the heat gun.

Paint your hearts stamp with the same watercolor paint.
Stamp repeatedly on the watercolor paper.
When I did this, I stamped once, blotted with the paper towel,
dried with the heat gun, and repeated a few times.

Pretty, isn't it?
Stamp hearts again with permenant ink.
Trim to fit your matted card front.
Use corner rounder on upper left corner and lower right corner.
Wrap ribbon around this panel, securing with Miracle Tape on the back.
Wrap some baker's twine or other trim around a few times, knot, and trim if needed.
Attach to the card front with pop dots/foam tape.

Outline some of the hearts with Stickles.

Stamp Dachshund on white card stock with permenant ink.
Color and trim. Place on card front.
Stamp sentiment with the same ink, trim, mat, and place on card front
with foam tape or pop dots.

I have something else I want to show you...
Here's an art journal page I did this week, using one of the

December.....weekly?

Hello, gang!!
Aimee here with another fun project for you!

I've really been in the holiday spirit the last couple of weeks.
We lost our leaves, it's stinking COLD outside,
and we've had snow once (it didn't stick around, but we got it).

Bring on the turkey and Christmas!!

For those who find the idea of a
  DAILY album
overwhelming,
why not create a week-by-week album instead?

This little cutie is 6x6.

Want to make it?

Here we go....

You'll need:

STAMPS!
Teeny Tiny Santa from plate 1363 (do yourself a favor and get the whole plate!)
Numbers from the new plate!!
Patterned papers (mine are from October Afternoon)
Chipboard for the covers
Paper trimmer
Scissors
Ribbons & trims
Scrap of burlap, canvas, etc.
Spellbinder's dies and die cut machine
Tag die or punch
Tiny Attacher
Wood buttons
Inks (I used Vintage Photo Distress & a brown pigment)
Inking handle (Distress item)
Heat gun
Tiny letter stickers
Scraps of white card stock
Stickles!
Binder rings
Hole Punch (I used a Crop-A-Dial)
Markers
Tacky glue

1. Cut your papers into 6x6 to create pages...
make life easy and use the sheets that are divided into four 6x6 sections!
2. Cut chip board into two 6x6 pieces.
Add Miracle Tape to the chipboard pieces and cover with patterned papers.
Do both sides.
3. Ink all edges- pages and covers- with brown ink.
4. Use tacky glue to add trims to front cover.
5. Add piece of burlap/fabric to front cover at an angle with tacky glue.
6. Die cut two nested shapes using Spellbinder's dies.
Ink edges of both shapes. Stamp December with brown pigment ink and add embossing powder.
Stamp week with brown pigment ink (twice, leaving space between for the letter stickers) and
add embossing powder. Heat to melt powder. let cool.
6. Ink the edges, and add 'by' between week & week. Layer the shapes and add
to front cover with Miracle tape.

6. Stamp numbers 1-4 with brown pigment ink and emboss.
7. Punch tags for the numbers, adhere numbers to tags.
(for number three, just cut the number square out)
8. Ink edges of tags. Staple ribbons to tags using Tiny Attacher.
9. Add tags to pages using Miracle Tape.

 10. Hand cut a small tag from card stock. Stamp Dachshund on a
scrap of white card stock. Color. Tear ends, and ink the edges.
Adhere to small tag. Add tag to page for week three, using Miracle Tape.

 11. Punch/die cut a tiny tag and stamp tiny santa in brown ink.
Dot red Sharpie or other permanent marker over Santa's clothes.
Staple ribbon to top of tag.
Cute, isn't it!

Here's a tip to add a folder to your book:
Cut a piece of paper (patterned, card stock, whatever ya like)
12" wide by 9" tall.
Fold in half vertically.
Open back up, and fold 3" from the bottom horizontally.
Open up, fold back in half, and then fold the bottom back up.
Punch holes and add to the binder rings.
The rings hold the folder together.
Embellish!!

Anddddd.......
 Here's your wiener!

"bring on the turkey, momma!"
