A Man's World - June Diva Dare

Greetings Verve Fans!  Maureen here with Day 5 of the June Diva Dare, A Man's World.
 

This month we're daring you to create a stamped card or project with a masculine theme.   

I was itching to make another shaker card with some more wood veneer anchors along with the Metal Mix Sequins mix.  I created the faux metal panel with some silver metallic paper adhered to cardstock and then embossed with the Cuttlebug's Diamond Plate folder.  I stamped the "Happy" from Wonderful Marvelous on the inside of the shaker, then "Father's Day" on the banner.  The small "Dad" banner was created with the Flag it Die Set and a screw brad from Michaels.  Here's a closeup...

April 2014 Diva Dare - Day 7

"Little Things" - April Diva Dare

Welcome to April's Diva Dare!  In honor of Spring's arrival (in some parts of North America anyway!), this month's Dare is entitled "Little Things".    The challenge is to create a baby or kid themed card, how fun!

Janelle here, to give you my take on the challenge for today.

Nothing is more fun than robots... they're awesome! They can even be used for an any day card.

I used the a robot and sentiment from Birthday Bots and colored with Copic markers on the main panel and doodled some stitch marks for some fun lines. 

I colored and hand cut out some gears from Geared Up popping them up with foam adhesive around and all this is topped off with a few fun metal confetti from the Metal Mix Sequins. Other material for this card are striped washi tape (RAK) and pattern paper (The Escape ~ Little Yellow Bicycle)

November Diva Dare - Day 11

"Shape Up", November Diva Dare

Hey Verve fans!  Stacey here with my take on the November Diva Dare - Shape Up!  What a fun challenge with endless possibilities!  

What we're daring you to do this month is to create a card or project including a common shape.  For example:  hexagons, chevrons, arrows, triangles, hearts, stars etc.  Lots of fun ways you can go with this dare and we can't wait to see what you create!

Check out ALL the shapes I packed into my card!  Some fabulous Verve Stamps, A Cut Above by Verve Dies and some fabulous patterned paper is all you need to get your card in "shipSHAPE!"  

After layering a few different patterned papers, the "Merry Christmas" sentiment and red snowflake image are from the Holiday Treats stamp set.  The sentiment was stamped in red and die cut with the Tagged Rectangle Die, while the snowflake was also stamped in red and die cut using the Frosty Snowflakes Die Set.  To finish up the card, I added some curly twine and a sprinkling of the Metal Mix Sequins and Pastel Sequin Mix.

October Diva Dare-Day 2

Tag, You're It, October Diva Dare

What we're daring you to do this month is to create a gift tag, use a tag on a card, or be inspired by a tag!  

Good morning Verve fans, it is Teresa. I am so glad you are here sharing your Diva Dare creations, it is so fun to visit your blogs and comment on how you answered the dare! I went with some sweet Bots Christmas tags, aren't those Bots adorable? I used the Verve Birthday Bots set. You can use them for any occasion and pair them with the perfect Verve sentiment.

I used the Mojo Monday Sketch for my tags, it is the perfect sketch for a tag! I adore the new Award Banner Die by Verve! I luv the layered look, like I used for my tags; I choose two different patterns of designer paper..sweet! I then reached for the Munchkin Phrases for an adorable sentiment; another great choice for the Birthday Bot set. I added a little tinsel and a few of the Metal Mix Sequins. There you have it, tag your it!
