Spring Summer Coffe Lovers Blog Hop

It's time for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I just love seeing all the caffeinated creations along this hop and can't wait to do a little hopping myself! Verve has been a sponsor since the very first hop, and we're continuing that tradition today, offering up our two new limited edition stamp sets for a participant along the hop. There are oh-so-many fabulous Super Sponsor prizes up for grabs for those who link up a newly created Spring/Summer themed coffee, tea or cocoa project over on the official Spring/Summer 2018 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop post. The linkup is open through June 1, so I hope you have a fabulous week of getting inky!

Our Super Sponsor prize for the hop is the two brand new limited edition stamp sets that just released this morning! We have a limited amount of these sets available for purchase in the shop. They won't be re-ordered so now's the time to snatch them up if you see something you have to have!

Just Like You is a fun, masculine set, perfect for honoring the father figure in your life. A big, hearty coffee mug allows for customization with some of the other stamps in the set. Scroll down to see my first take with the set.

Living on Coffee is a lovely, floral coffee set that includes some beautiful blooms and a host of fun, all-occasion sentiments.

For today's coffee card, I am featuring the Just Like You set. I made this as a card for Mark from the boys. When they were babies, we dressed Kellan in blue and Trevor in green to tell them apart, so I thought Mark would get a kick out of the symbolism behind the two coffee mugs. Plus, with twins, 2 cups minimum are essential for a morning! Haha! I stamped the mugss on white, then stamped different sentiments on each cup and colored with Copics. A third circle for the sentiment finished off the stamping.

The background is designer paper, sponged with pumice stone ink. I wrapped a bit of linen thread around the panel, then layered my circles to complete the layout.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Happy hopping!

Enabler's List
Stamps: Just Like You (Verve Stamps)
Paper: dp, white, black
Ink: intense black (Hero Arts), pumice stone distress (Ranger), copic markers
Accessories: stiched circle stax (MFT), linen thread

Winter 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and New Digi

It's beginning to look a lot like winter and that means it's time for the Winter 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Hooray! I just love seeing all the coffee/tea/cocoa inspired creations filling up the blogosphere during these hops. It's a busy time, but so much fun to see all the cups of cheer being lifted.

Verve is once again proud to be a hop Super Sponsor once again. We're providing one of the oh-so-many fabulous prizes up for grabs for those who link up a newly created WINTER themed coffee, tea or cocoa project over on the official Winter 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop post.  The linkup is open through December 15, so I hope you have a fabulous week of getting inky!

In honor of the hop, I've designed another fun holiday coffee themed DIGITAL set and it's on SALE along with a bunch of other holiday and coffee themed products! It seems that all that's keeping me going these days is a little coffee and Christmas cheer, so that was the starting point for the set. The Running on Cheer DIGITAL Set just released this morning, so head on over to the Verve shop to check it out! And if you haven't seen our full line of digis yet, be sure to take a peek!

My card uses one of the smaller cups and the Running on coffee and Christmas cheer sentiment from the Running on Cheer DIGI. I printed them on my laser printer, colored with Copics and fussy cut the mug.  Some beautiful papers from Authentique make up the backdrop and I accented with a bit of ribbon, some red jingle bells and a glittery wooden snowflake tucked behind.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope y'all enjoy the hop!

Enabler's List
Stamps: Running on Cheer DIGITAL Set (Verve Stamps)
Paper: Vintage Christmas (Authentique), black, cream
Ink: laser printer, copic markers, antique linen distress ink (Ranger)
Accessories: pierced squares dies (Cottage Cutz), ribbon, jingle bells, Nuvo glitter drops (Tonic), wooden snowflake (Recollections), gold thread (SU!), paper distresser (Prima)

Fall 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

It's my favorite time... Coffee Loving Blog Hopping time!

A new season is upon us and that means it's time for the Fall 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Hooray! I just love seeing all the coffee/tea/cocoa inspired creations filling up the blogosphere during these hops. And since fall is my favorite time of year, I just can't wait to see all the autumn cards.

Verve is once again proud to be a hop Super Sponsor once again. We're providing one of the oh-so-many fabulous prizes up for grabs for those who link up a newly created fall themed coffee, tea or cocoa project over on the official Fall 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop post.  The linkup is open through September 22, so I hope you have a fabulous week of getting inky!

I'm offering our first ever digital set for sale in the shop! So many of y'all have loved our digis in the past and I've received so many emails asking if they could be purchased after they had been taken down.  I've never sold digital products before, and am a little iffy on how my current shopping cart will handle it, so please be patient if anything goes wonky. I did note on my test order that the download link appears right after you click place order. So you need to save it right then.  The shopping cart also requires you to fill out the shipping information, even though it's a digital product, so it can determine any taxes. If you miss the download link, like I almost did, just send an email to me with your order # and I'll hook you up with the link.

The digi will normally sell for $5, but is at an introductory price of $3.50 through September 30. While you're in the shop don't miss our 30% off sale on coffee/tea/cocoa and fall themed stamps & dies.

The download will come with a zip file that includes .png and .jpegs for all 9 designs. It also includes a printable PDF with each design laid out to print at least twice on an 8.5 x 11" page.

If you like to die cut, the pumpkin image and the cup with the wheat design fit the Pumpkin Spice Die Set.  The cup with the pumpkins fits the Happiness in a Cup Die Set and the cup with the flowers fits the Cup for All Seasons Die Set.

For my card I printed the Coffee Please sentiment, the pumpkin cup and an enlarged version of the leaf on my laser printer.  I colored with copic markers and fussy cut both the leaf and the cup, cutting a slit in the cup to tuck a few leaf sprays in.  The leaf sprays are from the Autumn Blessings stamp set and I cut them with the coordinating Autumn Thanks Die Set.  To make them shine, I added some morning dew Nuvo drops and sprinkled with glitter.  I did the same thing with the pumpkins on the cup.

The patterned paper is from Carta Bella and I embossed the cream panel with a chicken wire embossing folder. I tucked a mixed media honeycomb die cut behind and finished off with a bit of grosgrain ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoy the hop!

Okay, on with my project. I just had to play with the tall kettle for my first card using the soon to be released Always Time set. I stamped the kettle in archival black, then colored with Copic markers and cut with the coordinating Kettle Time Die Set. I added some flowers behind, accenting with a few teeny rhinestones. The sentiment is stamped onto tiptop taupe, then I added a scalloped border up top to mimic the scallops on the kettle. I accented with a couple butterflies cut with the Graceful Butterflies Die Set, then finished off with a softy sky embossed polka dot background and a strip of black down the side.

Enabler's List
Stamps: Always Time (releasing 7/10/17 from Verve)

Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and a Freebie

A new season is upon us and that means it's time for the Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Hooray! I just love seeing all the coffee/tea/cocoa inspired creations filling up the blogosphere during these hops. Everyone makes such wonderful creations and I always see a gazillion things I want to buy. Not to mention all the fabulous inspiration from all you talented stampers!

Verve is proud to be a hop Super Sponsor once again. We're providing one of the oh-so-many fabulous prizes up for grabs for those who link up a newly created spring themed coffee, tea or cocoa project over on the official Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop post.  The linkup is open through March 31, so I hope you have a fabulous week of getting inky!

To celebrate the hop and the changing of the season, I've designed this Rise and Shine free digital set for your enjoyment.  f you share your creations online please use @vervestamps on Instagram or Facebook so I can come have a look-see. And be sure to check out all of our coffee, tea and cocoa stamp offerings. It's a great time to adopt a new set, as all stamps and dies are 30% off through April 17.

For my project today, I used a sentiment and a mug from the Rise & Shine digi set.  I printed with a laser printer, then colored the mug with Copics.  I cut the sentiment using the Sweet Scallop Tag Die, and used a stitched circle die for the mug, then hand punched a little hole and tied them together with some twine. Next I pulled out a bit of leftover striped vellum to make a little pocket for a tea bag.  I thought the sentiment was perfect for a little encouragement card for a friend.

This Palais Des Thes Blue of London Earl Grey is my current favorite. I discovered it at a little French patisserie near us and have been a little bit obsessed since then. The brown strip on the side of the packaging didn't match the colors of my card, so I ran some washi down the side, and added a bit of the same washi to the bottom of the tag to tie it in.  The paper is a pad from the way, way back by BasicGrey.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoy the hop!
Spread a little sunshine using the Rise and Shine digi set, then come back here to this post and link up your creation for a chance to win a $40 gift voucher to the Verve shop. I'll draw a random winner on April 18, 2017. I can't wait to see what you create!

Winter 2016 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello coffee, tea and cocoa lovers! It's time for the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop again! I always love seeing the blog light up with coffee, tea and cocoa cards and can't wait to hop along. Once again Verve is proud to be a Super Sponsor of this fun event.
The hop kicks off today and runs until Friday, December 16.  To be eligible for any of the Super Sponsor prizes, just link up a newly created winter themed coffee, tea or cocoa project over on the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop post.

To spread a little holiday cheer, I had a little fun designing some new coffee themed goodies.  I'm offering this sweet little printable as a free download through December 30, 2016. The My Cup To Yours Digital Set is whimsical, elegant and filled with some of the best stuff on earth... coffee goodness!  Feel free to download and spread a little handmade holiday cheer.  If you share your creations online please credit Verve Stamps and use @vervestamps on Instagram and Facebook so I can come take a look-see.  Can't wait to see your lovely creations!

For my project today, I paired the "holiday cheer to you and yours" digital sentiment with a stamped cup from Get Together and a snowflake from our Jolly Jingles set. The cup is cut with the coordinating Cup for All Seasons Die Set and I sponged everything with antique linen and early espresso inks. A Few early espresso mats and a big wide striped bow finish things off.

The layout is a slight variation on this week's Mojo Monday sketch!  It's contest week, so there are Verve prizes up for grabs.  Contest deadline is Sunday, December 11, so there's still plenty of time to get your entries in!

In other news, I found a box of early prototype stamps of our Coffee set that I've added to the website for just $5, while supplies last. It's the Limited Edition Typewriter Coffee set and some of the stamps are the same, but many of the sizes and fonts are different from the final version of Coffee. I've listed the differences on the website, but if you're up for a deal or want an inexpensive gift for a coffee loving friend, this set is a winner!

And last, but not least, all of our coffee, tea and treats stamps and dies are on sale!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful time along the hop.

Fall 2016 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

It's time again for another Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! As a coffee, tea and cocoa loving card maker, I get so excited for these quarterly hops. Verve is happy to once again be one of a long list of Super Sponsors giving away prizes, so come share your fall themed hot beverage creations over on the official Fall 2016 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop for a chance to win!
The hop starts today and runs through Friday, September 30 at 11:55 pm pacific. To be eligible for any of the sponsored prizes, you must link up a newly created fall themed coffee, tea &/or cocoa project over on the Fall Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog post.

We've also got a little blog candy, today!

Blog Candy: Everything Nice, Pumpkin Spice Die Set, Harvest Gold Sequin Mix
and a handmade coffee card!

Our next release is coming up on October 1, and one of the three sets we'll be releasing has a fun little pumpkin spice theme.  Just leave a comment below to be entered into our prize drawing to win the Everything Nice stamp set and coordinating Pumpkin Spice Die Set.  Comment deadline for the giveaway is 8pm Mountain, September 29.  I'll post the winner on September 30.

My card is a sneeky peeky at the new Everything Nice set.  I stamped the mug onto designer paper, then stamped the pumpkin inside and shaded around it with Copic markers, adding some glittery Nuvo crystal drops to my whip cream for a super sparkly treat.  And then I fussy cut because the dies still hadn't arrived from the manufacturer when I was creating the card.

The pumpkin spice and everything nice sentiment is stamped onto a stitched circle die and I used another stitched circle die, randomly stamped with another bitty pumpkin from the set in soft sky.  This is backed with a doily and I stenciled the background using antique linen and rusty hinge distress inks.  I finished things off with a seam binding bow and a couple orange rhinestones, because it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that bling.  {wink}

Oh, and the layout is the super fun September Sketch 2 at Viva la Verve!  Come play along with us for a chance to win a Verve gift certificate. For another peek at this set, check out my personal blog, Poetic Artistry today.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a fabulous little hop. I can't wait to go check out everyone's coffee loving creations!

Okay, now on with my card for the hop! I couldn't wait to take the new digi for a spin. And since I've spent the whole week caring for sick kiddos, I've had a little time to watch crafty tutorials on my phone and think about what I wanted to make! As soon as I saw the starburst tutorial on Splitcoaststampers this week, I KNEW I had to make a card using some Americana papers.

Americana handmade card by Julee Tilman featuring Verve Stamps| www.vervestamps.blogspot.com

So I started things off with a starburst created from scraps of paper from a BoBunny collection. I then cut the three cheers sentiment from the digi set in a square shape and distressed the edges with antique linen and vintage photo distress ink.  I cut three of the frappe cups and colored with copic markers, accenting with glossy accents and glitter.  A strip of blue behind gives the trio of cups a little landing strip, and I finished off with a portion of a Stitched Pennant die cut up above, accented with star embellishments.
