 Favorite Things - December Diva Dare

Welcome to December's Diva Dare, Christyne here today sharing with you this month's dare entitled Favorite Things.  

So this month, we are daring you to share your favorite Verve creation(s) for this year OR create a new one with one of your favorite Verve products.

After much debate, I decided on two of my favorite Verve cards created this year. I chose two layered cards whose layering I really enjoy. They also both happen to contain pink, black, bling, and distressing...my favorite things!!  "Happy Birthday" was created in my favorite color palette and highlighted the beautiful stamps from Be Blessed using a bunch of layered Verve dies: Pointed Petals Die set, Sprightly Sprigs Die set, Banner Bundle Die set, Rounded Scallop Die, and the Vintage Oval Frame Die.

"With Love" features some different layered Verve action to highlight the separated sentiment from Verve's Chevron Love stamp set including the Wavy Hearts Die Set and the Flag It Die Set.

Hi friends, it is Teresa. This month's dare is entitled Vellum Visions.  Soft and classy, vellum always makes a big impression.

I am vellum challenged, so much so I do not own any...lol. As much as I luv it, I find it very hard to use; so I used a piece of printed acetate the closest thing to vellum I have. I also find acetate hard to use, but I went with it to take this month's dare! I have used today's Mojo Monday sketch, I hope you will join us; this weeks sketch is awesome! I have used the sentiment from the Verve set Be Blessed.

Celebrate Good Times - August Diva Dare

Welcome to August's Diva Dare! Chaitali here with my take on this month's dare entitled Celebrate Good Times.     

Verve is turning 7 this month and we’d love to see your celebration cards.  Think wedding, birthday, anniversary… anything that brings the confetti out!

This is the first of many days (yup there is more coming this month!) of celebrating Anni-Verve-sary for me! I felt it was appropriate that I use a bunch of stamps to create a collage of happy sentiments. Each of the sentiments here comes from a different Verve set. Lets start counting shall we?

"Have a happy day" from Be Blessed; "Celebrate" from Moments Remembered; "Love" from Text Objects; "Enjoy" from Learning to Sail; "Smile" from Happy Place and "Celebrate Today" from one mystery unreleased set ;)

I kept the background simple with some patterned paper from my stash and let the sentiments collage be the focal point of the card. I couldn't resist adding some white embossed flowers colored in distress inks. I followed Jennifer McGuire's tutorial to color the flowers quickly and fussy cut them to get a crisp white outline. The flower stamps are from Be Blessed and Happy Place sets.

July Release Retrospective Hop

Hi Verve fans!  Welcome to our July Release Retrospective Hop!  The Divas and guests have planned a great little hop for you today featuring our recently released stamps and dies.  By now you should have had a chance to receive your new stamps and we thought it would be fun to put on a hop to give you even more ideas with them!  Sound like fun? I'm the first stop on the hop over on my blog, Poetic Artistry, but first I wanted to share this {sort of CAS} card I made with the Peaceful Medallions set and the large flower from Happy Place.  I started by stamping medallions on a piece of white cardstock in perfect plum and wisteria wonder.  Next I stamped the big medallion on another piece of white, cut with a circle die and matted with a scallop circle die cut in perfect plum.  Next I flipped the flower stamp from Happy Place over so I was stamping on the solid side and stamped it pale plum.  I then stamped over that with the right side of the stamp in Wisteria Wonder and hand cut to pop up over my medallion piece.  I stamped two of the smaller medallions in pale plum, then cut with a 1" circle punch and popped up on my card.  I finished with a sentiment from Be Blessed and then added some liquid pearls and amethyst rhinestone accents.  Simple, yet elegant.

Verve May Spotlights - Day 3 Hop

Hi Verve fans!  We're back with Day 3 of our new release blog hops and today we're shining our spotlights on the Be Blessed set, Sprightly Sprigs Die Set and Luke 1:45 Plain Jane. Everything you see previewed today will be available in the Verve online store tomorrow.

Be Blessed  is a lovely floral set with quintessential Verve sentiments.  Modern script paired with classic text create a timeless elegance for a variety of occasions.  The flowers in this set also coordinate with the Pointed Petals Die Set we previewed earlier this week.  And with both solid and outline images, these flowers will look fabulous whether you love to color or let the stamps do the coloring for you.

The Sprightly Sprigs Die Set is a set of 4 delicate leafy sprigs.  Designed to look great straight out of the die cut machine, these dies are the perfect accent to any floral project you're working on.  As an added bonus, the three smaller dies in this set can also be used with the leaf images in Be Blessed.  The stamped images are slightly larger than the die cuts, so the stamp will completely cover the die cut with no white space around the edge.  There are no stamp alignment holes on these dies, so you can also use the negative cuts from these dies on your projects.

Our final reveal is of another often requested scripture in the same font treatment as our other two plain janes this release... Luke 1:45
