The only rule is to have fun, keep an eye for you threads and be always in stitches.
Pick 15 projects that are ALREADY STARTED and FINISH them.
ha, there you are, my challenge to you. Not new ones coz we all know there are far more than 15 to which we would like to start.

What I'm Working On

Here are photos of my intended projects for this year. I haven't stitched much at all so far this year. Life seems to get in the way and there aren't enough hours in the day! Above is The Flax Sampler by Eileen Bennett of The Sampler House. Below is my Most Noble Pursuit. Yes, the date is 2007. I got bogged down with the over 1 stitching, couldn't see it with contacts and cheaters. Time has done wonders, now I can see it great by looking under my bifocal glasses. I have made a bit of progress since I took this photo so there might be an update at the end of this long weekend.

Above is Emmanuel's Song from Shepherd's Bush. It is tough to get a good photo between the cream on cream areas and the length. Below is Keep the Spirit, a Debbie Mumm kit. I've finished the center portion except for more snow, then it is on to the border.

Hope we all can enjoy lots of stitching time this weekend.

My 2012 WIPs List

I'm so excited that Jayne has decided to continue this into 2012. I didn't do very well in 2011, since most of my time was spent studying while I was working on my bachelor's degree. However, I graduated in November and will have much more time to stitch in 2012. So with that in mind, here's my list of challenge pieces for 2012:

1) Noah's Promise (Shepherd's Bush)
2) It's Berry Time (Blackbird Designs)
3) Primitive Wizard of Oz (Midsummer Night Designs)
4) Quaker House (Blackbird Designs)
5) Polar Bear Snow Globe (Bent Creek)
6) Joyful Christmas (Shepherd's Bush)
7) Winter Row (Bent Creek)
8) Christmas Name Tree (M Designs)
9) Noah's Stocking (Carriage House Samplings)
10) Winter Wonderland (Blackbird Designs)
11) Snowflake Serenade (Country Cottage Needleworks)
12) Winter Band Sampler (Little House Needleworks)
13) It's Cold Outside (Blue Ribbon Designs)
14) Woodland Winter (Dimensions)
15) Snow Globe Mantle (Bent Creek)

There it is ... all down in black and white, so now I must stick to it! Good luck to the other challenge participants. And remember, there's safety in numbers :)

An Update at Long Last

I finally finished The Bee Sampler from LHN earlier this month. I worked several bands on Emmanuel's Song before making a new start on a small Halloween piece. Please excuse the terrible picture. The light wasn't good and I had a hard time getting the whole thing in the frame. I'm not mentioning the wrinkles.

My finishes so far

For some odd reason I never posted my finishes after the first one even tho I had posted progress pics so here they are.

Celtic Griffin, finished April 22

Celtic Banner, finished May 8

And the last one is Shepherd's Bush My Earth, finished July 10

I've gone with Ink Circles Kaleidoscope as the next one to finish and if I keep making progress on it like I have done this weekend I'll be done sometime in Aug!

A Little Update

I've been working on 2 different projects the last 2 weeks. This past week I got the itch to do some specialty stitches so I pulled out SB Emmanuel's Song (above) which has languished too long in the wip pile. This week I finished up the darker green on the band of words and the 4 bands after that. I started the next band this afternoon.

I also made a bit of progress in LHS Bee Sampler (below). I actually have bees now! We'll see where the next few weeks lead. I'm having fun stitching during these hot days!

Challenge Change

I had to change my whole challenge as I had forgotten the WIP's I most want to get done.  They are, in no particular order:
  1. Strawberry Border Sampler by Cathy Livingston
  2. Winter Hearts by Shepherd's Bush
  3. The Garden Sampler by Ramsgate
  4. Random Thoughts by Drawn Thread
  5. Exampler by Kingsland
  6. Secret Garden by Forget-Me-Nots in Stitches
  7. Family Treasure III by Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum
  8. 1805 Hannah Colby Sampler from Better Homes & Gardens Cross Stitch & Needlework Mag.
  9. Two Friends Sampler - My Design
  10. Four Seasons Sampler by Patricia Andrle
  11. Miniature Whitework Sampler by The Sampler House
  12. Noah's Ark from Cross Stitch & Country Crafts Magazine 1987
  13. Morning Star by Kingsland
  14. Sunshine and Shadow by Prairie Schooler
  15. Caroline's Sampler by Serendipity Designs
As you might notice, I love samplers...That is one of the ways I could justify my love of cross-stitch and hang large groupings of them...They all sort of fit together in the end.  I have 60+ more projects that are MUST DO's most with chart, fabric and flosses already kitted, plus a box full of charts that are REALLY WOUILD LIKE TO DO's.  If you would like to see photos of my WIP's along with more of my project finishes, list of "Must Do's" and other projects please go to my blog at http://memoriesgardendesigns.blogspot.com/.  I am in the process of putting everything on my blog...Just give me a few days to finish the project.  Thanks for sharing and letting me share.
