The only rule is to have fun, keep an eye for you threads and be always in stitches.
Pick 15 projects that are ALREADY STARTED and FINISH them.
ha, there you are, my challenge to you. Not new ones coz we all know there are far more than 15 to which we would like to start.

Happy Dance! Woot, Woot!

My first UFO of the year is done and I am still dancing here in Maryland! I just finished the last stitches of Lizzie Kate's Merry Friends which I started I think around 2004. The regular stitching had went pretty quick but the Wisper thread is what caused this piece to land in the bottom of my sewing bag to begin with. However, this afternoon I finished up the Wisper thread, added the back stitching and ~Viola!~ I have my first UFO finish of the year!

I have also completed 2 other projects so far this year; a ornament for a Stitch-A-Long in my Yahoo group, Every Stitch Counts and also Prairie Schooler's Autumn. Currently working on Prairie Schooler's Peace on Earth. Updates on these pieces are on my blog which you can find here.

Happy Stitching! Now on to pick up another UFO and see if I'm still 'Up for a Challenge'.....

Progress!

Here is a pick of my first WIP.  It's Lizzie Kate's Holiday Double Flips.  I got started on it over the holiday and last night, I began the word, Cookie.  It's stitched on 32 count Lambswool with the recommended threads.

And this is Merrily Beams, Alphabets.  I am stitching this on 36 count Edinburg in cream with a lovely rich red AVAS silk.  I've started the last alphabet and the beginning of the bird row.

I am not following a rotation per say, tonight I will be working on BOAF's, Friendship Sampler.  I will snap a progress pic as soon as we get some SUN.

Love everyone's work!

Feeling challenged???? - Carol

Hi everyone! I joined this challenge because I definitely have quite a few UFO's sitting around that need some TLC. Currently I am working on one of my oldest UFOs I have and hopefully will have a finish sometime this weekend on it. It is from Lizzie Kate and is called Merry Friends. Stitching is done with over dyed threads and a fuzzy thread called Wisper. The overdyed thread work was done long ago but the Wisper thread was the reason this piece made it to the bottom of the bag in the first place. Wish me luck and looking forward to seeing everyone's progress on this year's challenge!

I have a personal blog here that you can see my other stitching updates along with my knitting. Until next time...... ~ Carol
