Stencil Sunday - Let The Celebrations Begin

Hello February.

Welcome to the first Stencil Sunday of February. Today I am kicking off Uniko's 14th Birthday Celebrations with some more January Release inspiration.

I couldn't resist inking up the Stencil - Layering Bauhaus Spring Blocks.

I have a new video up on the Uniko YouTube channel HERE making this fun spring celebration card. I opted for Birthday as it's Uniko's Birthday month, but you could easily swap out the sentiment for something spring themed.

That's all I have today, be sure to stop by tomorrow for more inspiration.

Seasonal Stencil Sunday

Happy Sunday.

Today I have another Seasonal Stencil Sunday card and YouTube Video to share with you. In my last video using this stencil Layering Bauhaus Christmas Blocks, HERE, I talked about some other ideas and this was one of them.

This time I wanted to use some of the images on single inchies. I used a Stampin' Up! Stitched Shapes Die, the set comes with squares, circles and ovals I believe. And I have had them for years.

The smallest square die is just the right size, though the border adds a little technical difficulties that slowed down the process a little during the video!

It turned out pretty good in the end and I finished with a sentiment from Christmas Sentiments and a few enamel dots as well.

I've another fun idea up my sleeve using this stencil and or the original Layering Bauhaus Blocks, but I'm saving to share that one when I am back from my vacation.

Just a little reminder...

Not long now till I am back!

Swiss Dots & Bright Spring Blossom Card & Video

Happy Monday.

I thought I would start the week of with another fun Background Blocks Swiss Dots and stencil combination.

Remember THESE cards I shared pairing the Background Blocks Swiss Dots and Layering Picked Posies. Well, I fancied trying something similar with different colours and a different stencil.

I chose the Layering Spring Blossom stencil along with a current favourite colour combination of Wildberry, Plumberry and Rainforest. I also used VersaFine Clair Morning Mist to stamp the Swiss Dots.

You can watch the video HERE where I embark on this creative adventure.

And here is the end result...

A different result for sure and maybe a little too busy for my usual liking. But it was fun to create and experiment with different colours and combinations.

That's all from me today, have a wonderful Monday.

Stencil Sunday - Patchwork Bauhaus Christmas Blocks

Happy Sunday.

Today I have a fun card to share with you that I also created in a video and shared over on the Uniko YouTube Channel today HERE.

Recently I have seen quite a few patchwork style designs while browsing Pinterest and I had a fun idea to create a card in this style and use the new Stencil - Layering Bauhaus Christmas Blocks in the design.

Here's how the finished card turned out.

Fun, isn't it?

I had no idea how this card would turn out, but I just went for it and I think there is so many ways you could develop this card design. For example you could add the images from the stencil to inch squares cut out and added with dimension or add tone on tone patterns to the coloured squares incorporating the original Stencil - Layering Bauhaus Blocks

Just a little heads up in case you've not seen the Uniko newsletter, social media or don't watch the video straight away...

Check back tomorrow for more inspiration and some Bank Holiday Bargains over on the website!

A Quick, Colourful Masculine Card & YouTube Video

Hello & Happy Tuesday.

Today I have a A Quick, Colourful Masculine Card & YouTube Video, HERE if you would like to watch and make along with me 😃

I've used Background Blocks Splatter, Background Builders Seeing Stars and Everyday Sentiments on my card here, but really any Background Block, Background Builder and sentiment would work for this layout.

That's all from me today.

March Meet The Maker - My Style

Hello & Happy Wednesday.

The theme today with March Meet The Maker is all about style. So I thought a YouTube video would help me show my style and make it a little more interesting.

You can watch my video HERE

As you will see on the video I feel that the Originally Organic and Originally Organic Additions clear stamp sets are the stamps I feel that represent my style or designing. And here are the finished cards I promised I would share from the video.

I started with this swirly organic foliage, pairing it with the Stencil - Mid Century Modern Shapes. I chose this stencil because I feel that the Mid Century Modern Collection is also one of my recognisable styles. Using stencils like this to add colour to then stamp over an image is one of my favourites too.

Next up is how I decided to use the stem & leaves with the flowers I stamped in the video.

I decided to fussy cut the image out once I had coloured with alcohol markers and adhered it to my card using foam adhesive for some dimension and interest. I chose the sentiment from the new Organic Blooms set.

Next is the heart wreath from Originally Organic Additions.

Again I decided to fussy cut the heart wreath out after I had coloured with alcohol markers and added a sentiment from Everyday Spring Sentiments.

A bit of dimension using foam tape to adhere to my card base and I left my card as that. I felt it didn't need anything else.

And I also have a bonus card.

I talked about in my video how you could possibly combine the smaller bloom from the new Organic Blooms with this stem and leaves. So I gave it a go!

My colouring of the flowers isn't my best! But otherwise I love how it turned out. I fussy cut the blooms adhering the orange/red flower with double sided tape and the yellow using foam adhesive.

What do you think?

Also, would you have chosen these clear stamps to showcase my style? I'd love to know if there was something else you would have said.

Feature Friday - Uniko On Trend with Ink & Flips and More!

Hello & Happy Friday.

It's been a wonderful, although busy week packing all your lovely release orders, thank you! I am delighted to come by today and share the first Uniko Feature Friday of 2025.

You might of heard me say or mention an upcoming feature in Simply Cards & Papercrafts Magazine during the release. Well, the issue has finally been published and I can share a little peek at the Uniko 'On Trend' feature.

Issue 266 is now available in most UK supermarkets and online at CraftStash. And my newest innovative and unique Ink & Flip Stencils, Ink & Flip Layering Geometric Gem and Layering Flower are featured.

It's always an honour to be asked to make cards for a feature and even more so when I am able to tie in two new products. Here's a little peek at the 4 page feature. I give you some more fun ideas and ways to use these stencils.

This inspired me to get inky and give some more love to the Ink & Flip Layering Geometric Gem Stencil and I have a new video over on the Uniko YouTube Channel, HERE.

As you know, when I design products, I am always thinking of how they can be paired with others that I have previously released. One idea I had was pairing the gem with the Stencil - Bokeh Layering Hearts to create a loved up card.

I decided to create a Valentine's Day card, that I might actually for once give to my husband! But you could easily change out the sentiment for an engagement, anniversary or wedding card.

Anyway, that's all from me today.

12 Days Of Christmas Inspiration & Giveaways - Day 11 Pure Florals Poinsettia

Hello & Happy Wednesday.

I'm here to get you over the mid week hump with some more festive floral inspiration. It was only right that another of the Uniko November Release, Pure Florals Poinsettia got some inky attention during this series and I was inspired to get out my comfort zone a little with a watercolour technique.

As you know I don't always have the patience to colour and I wouldn't say it's my strength either when it comes to paper crafting and card making. So I am always keen on 'quicker' options to add colour! This one is a fun one using ink pads or ink refills and an acrylic stamp block.

I used some watercolour card for this and a red trio of colours, Honeysuckle, Poppy and Cranberry. I think this technique is better watched than explained, so be sure to watch the video over on Uniko's YouTube Channel today HERE.

And how fun does this flower look paired with the Background Block Pinstripe. A little busier than my normal CAS style too, but I really enjoyed making this card.

Todays giveaway is the Pure Florals Poinsettia clear stamp set and my question today is have you used this technique and what colours would you use?

Be sure to get your comments in quick as I will be drawing and announcing winners on Friday 13th December.

Thanks for all the love and support for this fun series so far. I will be back tomorrow with the final day of inspiration.

12 Days Of Christmas Inspiration & Giveaways - Day 8 Stencil

 Hello & Happy Sunday.

Today I have a couple of fun stencilling ideas to hopefully get a bit more creativity from the stencils you have in your stash.

I've been loving this Stencil - Christmas Folk Snowflake this year and I couldn't resist using it again. For this card I used a heart stencil (MFT I think) where you get both the stencil and the heart mask.

I used the heart mask and temporarily adhered it to my card before laying the folk snowflake over the top. I used my current favourite Cranberry ink to stencil with.

My sentiment is a mix from Everyday Love Sentiments, Everyday Family and Christmas Sentiments. To finish I added a few little heart gems.

As usual I have a video over on Uniko's YouTube Channel with a slight variation on this technique and I have used another Uniko Stencil favourite!

The giveaway today is the 2 Uniko Stencils I have used today and my question for you is, what is your favourite stencilling technique?

12 Days Of Christmas Inspiration & Giveaways - Day 7 Background Blocks With Festive Twists

 Hello & Happy Weekend.

With the announcement of yesterday's Fabulous Festive Offers, it got me inspired and changed the whole plan for todays post!

If you missed the offers, keep reading I will give a recap at the end of todays post. So, a while back I did a Background Blocks 3 Ways, I thought I would do that again, but add a festive twist to them. Let's have a look...

For my first card I chose Background Blocks Layered Stripes. I think this block pattern works wonderfully to look like wrapped gifts under the Christmas tree. That what the look I was going for with this card.

I used my stamping platform to stamp the block on the angle in Poppy and Cranberry inks, I finished with a sentiment from Christmas Sentiments and added a festive bow from Mid Century Modern Baubles.

Next I decided to use a recent restock, Background Blocks Pinstripe. Again I was going for a fun festive look, but this time decided to overlap the pattern. I used cranberry and Evergreen to stamp the block.

I chose a different sentiment from Christmas Sentiments to adorn this card and stamped the same bow in Poppy.

For my third card today be sure to watch todays video over on Uniko's YouTube Channel HERE. I've used a different Background Block and added a fun festive twist.

The giveaway today is 3 Background Blocks (in stock) of the winners choosing. My question today is, which is your favourite Uniko Background Block.

Now for some Fabulous Festive Offer Reminder...

Saturday Spotlight - Multicolour Rays & a Video!

Happy Saturday.

Today I have a fun festive card, multicolour rays and a video to show you how I did the multicolour rays using Background Blocks Rays. I've been asked a few times recently as to how I created this card below.

So I thought I would record a little how to video to show the process. This can be applied to lots of Uniko's striped products like Background Blocks Horizontal Stripe and even the striped tree from Christmas Pop.

You can watch the video HERE on Uniko's YouTube Channel.

Here is the finished card.

As you can see for this card I went for a festive twist and just 2 colours of ink for the rays. I also decided when assembling my card to add some sparkle to them by stamping over the top with VersaMark ink and heat embossing with WOW! clear sparkle EP.

I used the same inking technique shown in the video to stamp the tree from Christmas Pop and my sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks Christmas. I finished by adding some Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard.

I hope you enjoy the video HERE and thanks for stopping by today.
