Uniko Birthday Inspiration - 12th Birthday Celebrations

Morning all,

Steph here with my Uniko Birthday Inspiration post. Each one of the Brand Ambassadors is sharing birthday inspiration as we celebrate Uniko's 12th Birthday!!

I decided to dig out some of the older Uniko stamp sets here and also realised that some of these are ones I haven’t used before. It’s always lovely to ink up a new stamp, even if it’s been sat in your stash for a while 🤦🏻‍♀️!!

For my first card I inked up the Uniko Large Background Tropical Paradise stamp using green ink. I coloured the leaves using various shades of green alcohol markers and coloured the open spaces with a pale yellow. On another piece of card I stamped the toucan and flower from Uniko Paradise stamp set and coloured with some bright oranges and yellows before fussy cutting and adhering to the background. I stamped the sentiment from Uniko Floral Vines stamp set onto a strip of card coloured the same as the background and adhered everything onto a Kraft card base.

Sticking with the same stamp sets I created my next card with a watercolour style.

Again I inked up the background using green inks but before I stamped, I sprayed the inked stamp with water and stamped onto watercolour card. I did the same with the flowers and additional leaves from the Uniko Paradise set and fussy cut before adhering with foam pads. The sentiment this time is from the Uniko Anniversaire Arts Decoratifs stamp set.

Don’t forget to check out the other Brand Ambassador Birthday Inspiration posts and come back to join in all the fun with the linky party, sneak peeks, introductions and blog hop with giveaway.

Much love

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Invitation au voyage

 Bonjour !

Izzy here. For you who have not gone on vacation or for you who already wish to leave again, I invite you today to follow me on this trip.

We will start our cruise aboard a beautiful sailboat ...

For this card I used the Nautical Treasures set for the sailboat and the compass rose. I stamped in dark blue the sailboat on a stitched square card stock as well as the small compass and the sentiment stamped in red.

To make the large white panel background, I used the Anchors stencil to emboss. Then I used the Background Blocks Pinstripe to make the thin stripe panel behind the sailboat.

The winds being favorable, we will not take long to reach the Pacific Ocean and its islands with a tropical climate.

For this second card, I used one of the Background Builders Arts Décoratifs stamp to illustrate the wave on the ocean. I simply blended three blue Distress oxide inks shades on a white panel, and once dry I repeatedly stamped and white heat emboss the waves.

For the hibiscus flower and leaves I used the Paradise and Paradise Leaves that I stamped with Altenew inks on a white card stock and I white heat embossed the outlines before fussy cut the images.

In order to see these magnificent flowers more closely, we will dock on one of the islands.

I get inspired by Yana Smakula's recent post to make this card. I stamped the hibiscus flowers around the edges of a white panel then with some masks, I stamped the leaves. I coloured them with Copic Markers. I also coloured the background and then I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment which comes from the Sentiments Outlines set. To finish I flat adhered this panel on a double white card.

I hope you enjoy this little virtual journey as much as I enjoyed making these cards. Thanks so much for visiting Uniko !

Take care and have fun crafting safely at home !

Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration post : Lovely hummingbird

Hi there!

Hannelie here with my monthly inspiration post !

On today's card I'm combining one of the newer floral stamps (which I LOVE) with the Paradise hummingbird  stamp set from an earlier release.

Hummingbirds are amazing little creatures ... I can watch them for hours :)

After cutting out the Paradise Hummingbird (with my Silhouette cameo) I used my blending brush to add the colors as shown above.

I then stamped the bird with the help of my Misti stamping tool using Versafine black ink.

On the card base, I stamped the large clustered flower called Hello lovely in black and used foam dots to pop the hummingbird up.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from Simply said blocks , cut it out and also popped it up with foam dots for dimension.

I used flat back pearls as embellishments and added one as an eye for the bird.

I hope you still find comfort in crafting during this difficult Covid 19 time. Card making is the one thing that didn't change for me, where everything else out there is crazy. It keeps my thoughts at bay and now more than ever I am thankful for a hobby!

I hope you leave here inspired !

Thanks for visiting Uniko today 😊

Introducing... Large Background Tropical Paradise

Hey!

Welcome to Day 2 of the July 2019 Release product introductions.

I've been waiting for this day for AGES and now this is the fun part where myself, my guest designer and the design team get to show you LOTS of inspiration! You get to see all the sneak peeks I've shared over the past two days in action on cards & projects over the next few days leading up to 26th, July, Release Day!

Today's product is one new clear stamp set you might recognise. I recently designed it as part of a digital stamp collection for Simply Cards & Papercrafts Magazine HERE. As soon as I had designed it, I knew I had to have it in physical stamp form! As much as I do like using digital stamps, there is nothing like a photopolymer stamp in your hands to ink up!

So here is another addition to the Large Backgrounds, Tropical Paradise. Let's have a quick look at the background in use...

Stamped in Catherine Pooler Grass Skirt ink, I have coloured the Tropical Paradise background with a variety of Copic Markers in shades of green. I have then trimmed the panel to fit my card base and added a Hibiscus flower from Paradise with the Aloha sentiment also from the Paradise clear stamp set.

It wouldn't be a release without a daily blog hop full of inspiration!

As usual my AWESOME Design Team and wonderful Guest Designer this month, Keren Baker have worked their magic with today's products, so be sure to hop along & see them...

WOW!

That was a phenomenal inspirational hop, so many creative ways to use the Large Background Tropical Paradise. It has so many possibilities and especially paired with the previously released Paradise and Paradise Leaves clear stamp sets.

I hope you enjoyed it and you will join us again tomorrow for another product introduction and LOTS more inspiration :)

Featured In.... Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine!

Woohoo!

I'm super excited to pop by this evening & tell you about another little feature I have in a magazine. This time it is with Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine and I have designed some FREE downloadable digital stamps for you to use :)

Can you spot a trio of the cards on the lower right of the front cover?!

One trends that is still going strong in the papercraft industry (and others) is the Tropical theme. Currently the focus of the trend is more on the leaves & foliage rather than the tropical blooms. So, I used this, along with my previously released Tropical themed clear stamp sets, Paradise, Paradise Humming Bird & Paradise Leaves to create some digital stamps.

Here is a look at the collection of stamps available for download from Simply Cards & Papercrafts Magazine website HERE.

And here are a couple of the cards I have made using the digital stamps which are featured in the magazine...

On this first card I have used just the FREE digital stamps. I enlarged the background stamp to fill a panel of white card & used my Copic Markers to colour the leaves in. The sentiment is then sized to layer across the background on a separately printed panel & I added some foam adhesive for dimension.

For this second card I used the large tropical leaf background again, but this time I erased the top section of the background. I've then added Bob the Toucan from Paradise clear stamps & a Father's Day sentiment from Simply Said clear stamps.

For all the details & more samples using the FREE digital stamps, be sure to grab yourself a copy of the magazine from the Simply Cards & Papercrafts website or in the UK most leading supermarkets, Hobbycraft & WH Smith stock the magazine.

Please note that these digital stamps are only available to download HERE from Simply Cards & Papercrafts website. They are not available for download from Uniko.

Enjoy & thanks for stopping by!

DT Inspiration - In Paradise

Hi there, it's Sarah P here just popping in with a little inspiration as I'm sat here wishfully hoping Summer will arrive soon. What better way to get in the mood than dig out the Paradise sets, from Uniko as they simply shout 'Sunshine'

I've coincided this post with a challenge entry post to CAS Colours & Sketches, over on my blog HERE which also uses these sets with a completely different look!

One of my Aunties lives in California and will be moving house this week so I created this card for her and the family. The new address certainly sounds like paradise to me so this set worked a treat. I've also used one of the new stencils by Funky Fossil Designs, sold HERE, to create a subtle backdrop which I think works perfectly for this little scene.

I water-coloured the toucan using Zig Clear Brush Pens, fuzzy cut him and created a framed circle to showcase him, popped up on 3d foam. The 'Paradise is wherever you make it' sentiment is from the same set with the 'New Home' taken from the Simply Said range of sentiment stamps.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you feel inspired to pull out some of your older Uniko sets and bring them back into the spotlight.

The 2017 Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Hey & Happy Friday!

YAY! It's time for another Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, I'm super happy to be a little organised this time and have a project made to enter on day 1!

Uniko is honoured to have been invited again by the lovely Amy from Tsuruta Designs to sponsoring another fun blog hop and challenge, you can check out all the details over on the Uniko Website Blog HERE, I have blog candy there too ;) AND more details HERE over at the hop!

Anyway, onto my card...

At the moment Summer to me = Tropical! Hence my decision to pair I LOVE Coffee with Paradise clear stamp set.

I was inspired by a couple of challenges for the ink blended panel and layout of my card. Firstly the challenge over at AAA Cards HERE is the resist technique.

I stamped the outline Hibiscus flower and solid leaves using VersaMark and heat embossed them with clear EP. I then blended two of my favourite distress inks over the top.

The second challenge I was inspired by was the new CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below.

I continued the Hibiscus flower theme onto the Coffee cup, keeping it simple by stamping it in Lawn Fawn Merman ink and adding a touch of Stampin' Up! glitter for some Summer sparkle!

The sentiment is a combination from Simply Said and I LOVE Coffee. I added a trio of Stampin' Up! Glitter Enamel Dots to finish the design off.

Ok, that's all I have to share with you today, but be sure to check out my post HERE with the Uniko Sponsor details, more inspiration and BLOG CANDY

My Five Faves From Year 5 of Uniko

Hey!

I'm here today to share my last five faves from year 5 of Uniko, I've really enjoyed this little birthday celebration feature and I hope you have too?! Though I am a little sad it has come to an end, I am also a little happy, because that means tomorrow is February Release Sneak Peek time - Whoop Whoop!

Anyway, let's see what I have chose to share with you today...

I LOVE Tea and Beautiful Blooms III go hand in hand, as you can hopefully see by the card above. They were designed and released at the same time and I just love this card and how it showcases both the clear stamp sets. It makes me long for warmer weather too!

I can't believe I haven't chosen a butterfly card to share as one of my faves yet! So when I came across this one I HAD to add it today! English Country Garden - Butterflies clear stamp set, in a beautiful rainbow of colour. This card makes my heart happy :)

Next I have a Marvellous Mehndi card to share...

When I released this clear stamp set last year and even though it was designed to an emerging and  growing trend this year, I really wasn't sure how customers would respond to it. I was delighted and overwhelmed with the response to it along with the rest of the Sept/Oct 2016 release :)

I couldn't do a five faves without adding a Bob the Toucan card, which also features the Hibiscus flower and leaves from Paradise clear stamp set. Another set partially designed at Uni and partially designed prior to our Wedding announcement.

Lastly, but by no means least my final favourite features Winter Foliage, another popular clear stamp set from the Sept/Oct 2016 release. I chose this card because of how CAS it is, you know I love CAS and this turned out just the way I had envisioned it to :)

Well, that wraps up my Five Faves from year 1 to year 5. What an amazing five years it has been, thanks to YOU! Without YOU I wouldn't enjoy what I do so much. Your love, support and understanding (even more so now) as I juggle day to day life with Uniko and two crazy beans means SO much to me.

THANK YOU!

I do hope you will join me tomorrow, we've LOTS going on?! First we kick off the February Release with some Sneak Peeks?! Then, I've another little FREEBIE for you all ;)

See you soon!

My Five Faves From Year 3 of Uniko

Hey!

Are you enjoying the Birthday Celebrations here at Uniko? I sure hope so and there is EVEN more to come as the February Release Sneak Peeks begin on Saturday - WhoooHoo!

Yesterday, I shared a Digital FREEBIE download, if you missed it be sure to check out the post HERE.

Anyway, today I am back to share my FIVE favourite projects from Year 3 of Uniko. This was the year where the beans were still tiny babies and took A LOT of my time. I remember sneaking off to the studio one evening for a little creative time and only being there 5 minutes before being called back for mummy duties! Even with that I still took me a little while to narrow down my favourites ;)

Let's see what I chose...

This was the year Neons made a come back and were trending during the February 2014 Release. This card uses the Explosion! clear stamp set, a set perfect for your hard to make masculine cards. I have another reason for highlighting this card and clear stamp set, you will find out next week ;)

My second card I chose because I love the Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum clear stamp set, but also because of the technique I used on the card. I've used a technique called White Wash Watercoloring and you can see my original post HERE

I chose this next card because I simply LOVE it! The colours, layout and clear stamps I have used really show off this stamp set.

This was the year I introduced Background Builders: Vines and Background Builders: Vines Winter Additions clear stamp sets, another two popular sets which sold out on it's debut! Currently out of stock due to popular demand recently, but will be back in again soon. There are also plans for other follow up sets in this series ;)

Ah, Paradise Hummingbird. I chose this card as it reminds me of the most amazing time of my life, getting married in Hawaii! Again the card uses my 'go to' colour combo and I can't resist cards using it ;)

Lastly, I chose another technique card...

This card uses the baby wipe technique and you can read the original post HERE. On the card I have used Flower Power #5, but any clear stamp which has more of a solid appearance will work and is best for this technique.

Looking back through my creations has reminded me of some awesome techniques I had forgotten about and which would look just as good using newer stamps from Uniko. You might just see these techniques in the coming week ;)

To see more using the clear stamp sets I have highlighted today, check out the Pinterest pages for them via the links below...

That's all I have to share today, but I will be back tomorrow with more. Design Team member Lindsey is also here on the blog with some more Design Team Inspiration for you.

Until then, thank you for stopping by today.
Hugs
