You Can Never Have Too Much Joy

Happy Tuesday.

Thank you all for filling me with joy.

All your lovely comments, support, love and orders, you have truly made this little Uniko business owner feel full of joy. It really is a dream come true to bring you my ideas and designs and to have them received so wonderfully by you.

My heart smiles every time I see something I design used to make a card, tag or however you use it creatively. So thank you.

Ok, now to some more inspiration.

I shared this card late last night on Instagram, it was a fun filled day of order packing, but I did manage to squeeze in this card! I felt I needed to give BIG & BOLD Joy some inky love.

I love an ombre card & this came together pretty quick, even with the fussy cutting! I kept the embellishing simple with the little foliage image stamped in Evergreen and Parsley. The joys were stamped in Ballet Slipper, Poppy and Cranberry.

I had so much joy making this card, I went ahead and made another one today, which makes up for not giving this set the love on release day!

Again I went for clean & simple, but I couldn't resist adding the Christmas sparkle. Once I heat embossed the sentiment I embellished with some stamped holly from Winter Foliage.

I hope these two cards bring you joy today.

Festive Friday & Fabulous FREE Shipping Weekend!

Happy FriYAY!

I'm a little later than I expected today, but I have a fun Festive Friday card duo to share with you today using Block Party Christmas

Just yesterday I was reminiscing on social media how it was 7 years ago this month that this clear stamp was released. So it inspired me to dust mine off and give it some fresh inky love.

And here is what I was inspired to make...

For these two cards I combined a love of heat embossing and one of my favourite techniques for large backgrounds, the spotlight technique.

You can join me over on YouTube as I talk about this fun stamp and make this first card and how I cover up an embossed boo boo!

I'm using Concord & 9th Poppy card for my bases. VersaFine ink and a Funky Fossil WOW embossing powder called Verdant. It is part of this trio HERE

It was at the end of the video it occurred to me (head in the pre show shed today) that I could make this second card by stamping one more panel of the red card and use the negative die cut panel. Two for the price of one idea!

Such a simple idea for a fun background, but packs a festive punch. Don't you think?

AND before I go... I know many of you are unable to come see Uniko at the Stamperama show in Bedford, due to distance and living in a different part of the world.

So for this weekend I have a Fabulous FREE Shipping offer.

No code necessary, minimum spend is £10. UK orders will be shipped via 48hr Tracked and International Orders will be shipped standard international shipping unless they are above £50 in value.

That's all from me today. I'll do my best to share photos and things over the weekend on social media.

Two Ways With Background Builders Round In Circles

Happy Weekend.

And Happy Bank Holiday weekend to those in the UK, I hope some of you are enjoying some sunshine, it's been rather grey, wet and dismal here in the North East 😒 Though, at least I feel like I've not missed it with being poorly (again). Seriously, my immune system is rubbish and even more so when the boys bring the bugs home from school, hence my quietness this week.

Anyway, I'm slowly getting better after lots of rest and sleep. I actually found some energy to finish these two cards I started a few days ago.

I've said it so many times, but restocks always inspire me to create, especially when they've been out of stock for a while like Background Builders: Round In Circles.

Do you ever have moments where you think your creativity might run out? That you'll be unable to think of something 'new' to create using a much loved stamp set, stencil or die? I do, quite often, but then I end up surprising myself like I did with this duo!

I started by using the open dot builder strip to stamp the background. I then crazily spent ages colouring the dots in a rainbow of colours! It was super time consuming, but I think the end result was worth it.

I then die cut the 3 circles before adhering to my Pebble base card, stamping the circle designs inside and adding the sentiment from Mid Century Modern Everyday Sentiments

With the background taking so long, I couldn't let the die cut circles go to waste, so I created a second card using them.

I placed the die cuts exactly onto my card base as they were die cut from my first card by using the above panel as a template before I adhered it onto my first card.

I love many things about clear stamps, one of those things is the ability to shape the longer stamps. Just like I did with this one. Again I added a sentiment from the Mid Century Modern Everyday Sentiments.

I'm delighted this clear stamp set, along with a whole host of others are back in stock. Though a few of Uniko's newer and most popular designs have sold out already at the shows! Restocks shouldn't be too long.

Anyway, that's all I have today.

Uniko's Customer Top 10 of 2023 - Number 4

Hello & Happy Thursday.

I am here today to share Uniko's Customer Top 10 of 2023. Today we have the 4th most purchased product, Bauhaus Blocks.

This clear stamp set, perfect for masculine cards debuted in June this year. Again, due to its popularity it is currently out of stock, but don't worry, it'll be back early January.

I have a few masculine birthdays in January & February, so it was a good opportunity to get creating with this stamp set. Here's what I made today...

I started by choosing a Mid Century inspired colour palette, light & dark teal, mustard yellow, chocolate brown and burnt orange. I then stamped and coloured the blocks.

I decided to stamp & fussy cut the middle block, adhering it to the card with foam adhesive. The birthday sentiment is also from the set and adhered using foam adhesive.

A simple, yet (in my opinion) effective card. I hope you are having a lovely day, thanks for joining me again today.

12 Days of Christmas Inspiration & Giveaways - Day 6

Hello & Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Inspiration & Giveaways - Day 6

Every Friday, I will have a new Christmas themed card or project to share with you, along with a video showing how I made it. Plus, if you watch the video you will find out what the giveaway is and how to enter for your chance to win 😊 All the videos are HERE on the Uniko YouTube Channel.

In todays video I am giving fresh creative love to one of Uniko's unique concept stencils, Ink & Flip Christmas Star.

I've been wanting to create a shaker card using the star for a while, but being out of acetate for the standard shaker window card, it pushed me to try the full shaker cards using old thin acetate packaging.

I love how easy it was to create the shaker, a lot less time consuming with the foam tape on traditional shaker cards taking the most time!

Be sure to head on over to YouTube HERE and watch me make a new version of the card, showing how the ink & flip stencil works AND this fun style of shaker card.

I hope you enjoy the video and don't forget you need to watch to find out about the giveaway and how to enter to be in the chance of winning. If you have any festive requests for upcoming 12 Days Of Christmas videos, please add them to the comments here or on any of Uniko's social media.

12 Days of Christmas Inspiration & Giveaways - Day 5

Hello & Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Inspiration & Giveaways - Day 5

Every Friday, I will have a new Christmas themed card or project to share with you, along with a video showing how I made it. Plus, if you watch the video you will find out what the giveaway is and how to enter for your chance to win 😊 All the videos are HERE on the Uniko YouTube Channel.

In todays video I am giving fresh creative love to one of my favourite Christmas / Winter themed collections, Winter Foliage. This collection includes Winter Foliage Clear Stamps, Winter Foliage Designer Dies and the Stencil - Winter Foliage. I've combined all three on my cards.

I dusted off a few supplies that mostly only come out at Christmas, ribbon and sparkly gold stencil pastes! Making a second card I changed how I made my card a little second time round to make it a little more sleek and how I intended.

And this is the version of the card I made during my video HERE.

I hope you enjoy the video and don't forget you need to watch to find out about the giveaway and how to enter to be in the chance of winning. If you have any festive requests for upcoming 12 Days Of Christmas videos, please add them to the comments here or on any of Uniko's social media.

National Coffee Day Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Uniko Winner

Happy Tuesday!

Apologies for my lateness in announcing the winner of the National Coffee Day hop. It's been a busy time with shows and a new release.

Anyway, with the help of Random.org a winner from all the lovely comments left has been selected and I am pleased to announce the winner of the...

is...

I love that sentiment and love the colors . Thank you ! Happy Coffee Day!

Congratulations Lee! I have sent you an email.

Before I go I have a new card to share with you as I fancied pairing the NEW Autumn Serenade with I LOVE Coffee and this is how it turned out...

I started by stamping the main swirling leaves from Autumn Serenade in a selection of Concord & 9th inks, Spiced Cider, Sunflower, Stardust, Avocado, Artichoke, Wheat and Nutmeg. I used my MISTI to blend and repeat stamp to get a nice autumnal coverage. I then added a sentiment strip and the coffee cup from I LOVE Coffee, adorned with a leaf.

That's all from me today.

Technique Thursday with Uniko Designer Dies!

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Gosh, it's a warm one here today. Though I am sure when the sun starts to go down it will cool off, I can feel Autumn in the air.

Anyway, today I have a fun technique and a video to share. YES, I have been brave and recorded a video. I am still learning and still have a few things to learn to make them pretty. But this card I made yesterday was easier to explain and demonstrate in a video.

I used BIG & BOLD Snow Clear stamps and BIG & BOLD Snow Designer Dies. Plus there is a bundle option HERE!

My thinking behind this card and technique was that I wanted more of the stamped snowflake design to be seen and not hidden by a large die cut word.

It's a little fiddly, time consuming and this first card took two attempts! But, I think the results are fun. You can check out my video HERE on You Tube and below is the finished card of the one I made during the video.

I hope you enjoy the video and I'd love you to subscribe, I will be sharing more in the coming days and weeks.

Happy September & a Winner!

Hello & Happy September!

I am finally back in the studio after a busy start to the month. September is always a little chaotic with the Beans birthday and back to school, which was today.

So apologies for my absence these past couple weeks here on the blog and social media. It was lovely to take some 'downtime' with these two and my husband and enjoy the end of summer.

But now I am back it is full steam ahead for some new products and a busy month of October with two Crafterama/Stamperama shows, Lincoln 1st October and Bedford 22nd October. PLUS there is the Uniko Stamping Retreat on Sunday 8th October!

Anyway, before I get to the awaited winner for the July/August Release, how about another card using some of these products...

I've had this card finished for a while, I just needed to take photos of it, which I did this morning with the glorious sunshine coming through the windows.

As you may remember the newest Background Block Art Decoratifs Christmas pairs beautifully with the previously released Background Block Art Decoratifs. Which I have done here.

I didn't actually use a lot of the new block, just the tree fussy cut out! But I had this idea to create a shaker card and add the tree as an embellishment focal point. The sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks Christmas.

My shaker choice was some Stampin' Up! Silver Glass as that was the only Christmassy one I could find at the time.

Ok, so enough talk. Let's get to the winner. I enlisted the help of the Uniko Brand Ambassadors to each select a commentor from across social media whose comment stood out to them. I then put the 6 names into a random generator and the lucky comment is...

Nicole G

Please drop me an email at bev@uniko.co.uk with your postal address and I will get your goodies in the post to you.

Thank you to everyone that commented and made this release one to remember. Now I had better knuckle down and get a bit more done before it's time to collect the Beans from school!
