June 2016 Release Design Team Blog Hop and GIVEAWAY!

I am super happy you have stopped by today, as the Uniko Design Team and I are here with a blog hop to inspire you a little more with the NEW Uniko June 2016 Release stamps!

The Tropical trend is still HOT at the moment and I just had to jump on the band wagon and put my take on the trend out there!

Firstly, I'd like to introduce you to Bob, Bob the Toucan! Bob was originally drawn way back in 2007/2008 while I was at Uni, the jungle/tropical trend was evident back then too ;)

I've added in fun graphical modern styled Hibiscus flowers to compliment the paradise theme, which also work perfectly with the previously released Paradise Hummingbird set.

Lastly we have a lovely mini complimentary set called Paradise Leaves. This is not only a FAB add on set to the two mentioned above but is also FUN on it's own.

Ok, how about a little inspiration?! As I have shared quite a few projects recently using these sets HERE, HERE and HERE. I have just the one card today...

I needed a little help kick starting my mojo and I used a couple of challenges to help me! First up the layout of my card inspired by the new CAS(E) this Sketch! sketch seen HERE and below. Secondly my colour combo is inspired by the new Color Throwdown colours seen HERE and below.

The little rounded tag is from Pretty Pink Posh, die cut from a scrap of Papertrey Ink Bitty Dot Raspberry Fizz DP. I then stamped and fussy cut the hibiscus and leaves, adhering the flower with foam adhesive. I added some Wink Of Stella for a little subtle sparkle too!

June 2016 Release Sneak Peeks

YAY!

I'm SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the June product  release are well under way!

Today I am sharing a couple of sneak peeks at the two clear stamp sets being released TOMORROW! So without further ado lets see them...

This first sneak peek gives it away really! Elements of the set have been designed for some time now, some even since my early years at University. It is also a follow on / addition to the previously released and popular Paradise - Hummingbird clear stamp set ;)

The second mini set being released this month follows the tropical theme and trend, it is a perfect add on set to the two mentioned above for even more possibilities!

Life here at Uniko HQ is a little hectic to say the least with the beans that seem to have hit a crazier & more exhausting stage of toddlerhood!

So my apologies that again it is a mini release. However,  it is packed with possibilities & most of all FUN!  

Anyway, back to the release, below I have outlined the release schedule & there are a couple of changes this month...

Sneak Peeks Today 10th June, these little teasers give you hints at what is in store!

Release Day! Saturday 11th June 9am BST you will get to see the products in their entirety and purchase them HERE on the website! There will be some inspiration from myself and the chance to win an eGift Certificate to spend in store on the website.

Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY! Due to various reasons the Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY has been scheduled for Saturday 25th June 9am BST. There will be a chance to win the entire June Release and the previously released Paradise Hummingbird clear stamp sets or an eGift Certificate to the same value.

BIG June Release Design Team Blog Hop!

I'm SO happy you've stopped by today as it's the BIG June Release Design Team Blog Hop! Back on the 11th June HERE when Uniko Studio released the latest products many of the Design Team members were away on their jollies and so I though it would be nice to have another release day hop so that everyone could join in. This also means that there is another PRIZE up for grabs which will be announced at the end of the post!

All the products release back on the 11th can be viewed HERE and HERE, so I won't bore you with that again instead I'll jump straight to a few projects...

On this first card I have used 3 of the June Release clear stamp sets, Flower Power #2, Background Builders Chevrons & Natures Treasures I. I used the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below for the position of all the elements and I used the current ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below for my colour scheme. 

I'm pleased with how this card turned out by kind of wished I had added some grey chevrons to the note book page die cut to add a little more interest. Or perhaps have stamped the sentiment at the bottom of the note book page instead of underneath.

My next card today uses another of my favourites from this release (as some of you may know already!)...

Yep, it's Beautiful Blooms! This time I paired the blooms with some white embossed chevrons and a sentiment from FONTiments - Birthday. I used the current Play Date Cafe challenge colours again seen HERE and below as I'm really liking the combo! 

In hindsight again I wished I had not added the black leaves to the middle flower which has a good splash of glitter!

I've one more card to share with you all before we get to the hopping! This card is more masculine and uses another 2 of the June Release clear stamp sets...

I combined Accent Essentials: Arrows and the HAPPY from All Occasion Sentiments #2, the birthday sentiment is from FONTiments - Birthday. I wasn't completely happy with this card either! Mainly due to the placement of the two arrows on the lower right, they're not quite aligned with the sentiment. 

Ok, thats enough from me lets get to the hop! Now, like with all Uniko Studio's Release Day hops there is a PRIZE up for grabs for this hop as it is still technically a Release Day hop! The prize is the ENTIRE June Release (6 stamp sets) or the equivalent if you already own them. I'm also throwing in a few surprises too. Now that I've revealed all the products in their entirety which are ALL available to purchase HERE, how about a few projects using some of the NEW products...

Firstly a little bit of rustic charm using Natures Treasures I...

When I saw the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout HERE and below I knew exactly what stamp I wanted to use, so I played around a bit & this is what I came up with. What do you think? I love how you can use clear stamps to build an image you want & this feathery type fern is now a bigger feathery fern!

Once I had stamped my 'feather' I then needed a circular sentiment element and the left over die cut circle from THIS first card was perfect and finished the card off nicely!

Next up is a modern masculine card...

For this card I combined the Happy Birthday from All Occasion Sentiments #2 with one of the Chevron building strips stamped in 3 colours. I added a little bit of glitter down each side of the chevron strips to add a 'pop' to the design.

One more card to share & a girly one this time...

I used the full linear bloom from Flower Power #2 with a simple masking technique to achieve the overlapped design along the bottom of my mat layer. I added a little bit of glitter to each of the flower centres and the Happy Birthday sentiment also from the set.
