Let's Have Some FLIPPIN' Seasonal Fun - Introducing... Ink & Flip Layering Cobweb

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

I'm so glad you've stopped by today as this week we are having some FLIPPIN' Seasonal Fun, AKA Ink & Flip Week Part Two.

So far this week myself and the Uniko Brand Ambassadors have revisited Ink & Flip Christmas Star and Ink & Flip Snowflake. Plus yesterday we shared a couple of sneak peeks.

Today the wait is over and we get to introduce you to the first new Ink & Flip Stencil, Ink & Flip Layering Cobweb.

I'm not usually one for Halloween cards or projects, I've probably only ever made a handful. But I had this idea and I had to run with it. But I think this fun design has more potential than just Halloween.

Let's have a look at how the Brand Ambassadors have used it...

This was such a fun hop, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I'd love to know what you think. That's all for today, but be sure to stop by tomorrow for more FLIPPIN' Seasonal Fun and the second introduction.

CAS Colours & Sketches #197 & Design Team Call

Hey!

It's time for another challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches - YAY! This week is sketch week and we have another fun sketch HERE and seen below to inspire you...

I admit I struggled with this one at first, mainly because I was tired and feeling a little stress with things going wrong and breaking round the house - those housewife/mummy woes!

Anyway, I finally found some inspiration and came up with this...

I started out by masking off a panel to stamp with various mehndi images from Marvellous Mehndi. I then used the current ColourQ Challenge colours seen HERE and below to selectively colour parts of the images in.

For the three elements on the sketch I was inspired by CC&S and Uniko DT member Jane's card HERE. I loved the enamel dots she used, so did the same but added a trio of a trio! They are Stampin' Up! Halloween Night enamel dots from the Autumn/Winter catalogue. The sentiment I used is from Strike A Pose! and I simply cut the film strip edging off and adhered it to the card using foam adhesive.

Before I go, CAS Colours & Sketches are looking for some new members to add to the Design Team in 2017!

We (CAS Colours & Sketches) are dedicated to creating cards in the Clean and Simple style, alternating between colour challenges and sketch challenges.  If you would like to be considered for a position on our team, you will need to participate in this week's colour challenge and next week's sketch challenge so that we can see your work in both types of challenges.  Please add the letters "DT" after your name when you link your cards for the two challenges, and make sure that your cards follow our Challenge Rules.  Applicants will be contacted during the month of November, and our new members will start on the team in December.

Ok, that's all from me for now, I hope I have inspired you to give these colours a go and join in on the challenge this week. Be sure to stop on over HERE and check out what the rest of the CAS Colours & Sketches DT have done using the colours and I hope to see you in the gallery.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy Halloween!

Hey!

I thought I would pop by now that the beans are on their way to Grandma's and Grandad's house for a sleepover to share a couple of photos I took of them today. With it being Halloween I just couldn't resist saving these vests that we bought for the occasion...

Mickey Mouse Josh & Donald Duck Ben!

I had a quite a chuckle dressing them and taking photos of them this afternoon! They didn't find it quite as funny and there were a few cries, it had to be done though.

With them being away overnight I hope to squeeze in a little crafting time in the studio in the morning after a FULL unbroken nights sleep!

Some last little bits of information are that there is still a few hours to take advantage of the Autumn SALE over on the website HERE. Be sure to grab a bargain while you can. ALSO I am having a clear out of a lot of crafting stash HERE, the page will be updated often as I add more as I sort through it!

I hope you are all well, until the next time, thanks for stopping by :)

Happy Halloween!

Hey!

Happy Halloween to y'all! Hope you are all enjoying a few Trick or Treat Spooky Sweets! I sure have had my fill, it's raining here and windy too so we only had a couple of treaters knock at the door, which means all the more for me! LOL!

Anyway, I thought I'd pop in this evening with my last Halloween card for this year...

I used a few Uniko Studio digital products to make this hybrid card and used the current Freshly Made Sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card.

I've been asked by a couple of customers about colouring images digitally so I am working on a couple of video tutorials this week to hopefully share with you at the weekend.

That's all from me today though so Happy Haunting & stay safe!

No Tricks Here...

Hey!

I'm getting into the Halloween spirit in the Studio, but there are NO Tricks here just Treats! My little treat for you today is a glittery spider web card...

For my card I used a few Uniko Studio digital products: EEK! Digital Stamp Collection, Classics Halloween & Super FREE Saturday BOO! I also used Uniko Studio's Wonderful Washi stamp set. I used the current ColourQ challenge colours HERE and seen below for my card, however instead of Tangerine Tango I used Pumpkin Pie.

This card is quite busy for me a CAS girl with all the pattern & layering, stepping out of my comfort zone ever so slightly! Once I had made the card I felt it needed some sparkle so I added a huge amount of Star Dust Stickles to the spider web.

Seeing this glittery spider web reminded me of the spider webs I saw on my Monday morning walk to Slimming World, which were covered in dew making them stand out.

This reminds me to mention a little bit about Slimming World. I've been going to SW for 38 weeks now & have lost 3 stone 5 1/2 pounds since I started & I feel amazing :) Other than just telling you about my achievement I wanted to tell you that Slimming World is NOW in the US & Canada.

If you want to know more about Slimming World follow this LINK

That's all from me today, I'll be back again tomorrow with more to share. Thanks for stopping by.

Addicted to mini cards!

Hey!

I'm back today with two mini cards to share with you, these mini cards are a cute 11 x 11 cm square. They might be mini cards but this is a not so mini blog post!

With the foggy cold mornings starting to appear Autumn is really upon us and as I gaze out of the Studio window as the Autumn sunlight breaks through the clouds it really shows up the warm colours of the leaves on the trees.

Such a beautiful sight, so, when I saw the current DYSU challenge seen HERE and below my card I knew I wanted to make a card & this is what I came up with...

I started out by choosing 3 SU! colours, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red & Summer Sun. I then used the smaller outline leaf from Pure Florals: Gerbera & stamped it in each of the 3 colours. After fussy cutting them out I adhered them to the lower right corner of a piece of Kraft CS and secure with a twine tied button. The 'Thanks' sentiment is from Label Love: Thank you.

Here is a close up of the detail...

I am also entering this card into the Moxie FAB World WCMD Thank you Challenge HERE

I've got a second card to share with you today...

Whilst sorting my desk out I came across this BOO! label I had printed but not used from the Super FREE Saturday BOO! collection available for download HERE. I decided to use the current Play Date Cafe Challenge colours seen HERE and below which are just perfect for a Halloween card!

I paired the label with some die cut banners which I stamped with 2 designs from Wonderful Washi. This shows how even more versatile the stamps from Wonderful Washi are! Below is a close up of the detail...

You can just about see in the photo above the Silver Stickles glitter glue that I added to the arch of stars. This card also fits perfectly into the current Addicted to Stamps Challenge HERE which is Addicted to Halloween. I'm more addicted to Halloween this year than ever before & I'm looking forward to the night itself to all the cute lil kids dressed up Trick or Treating!

Well, it's been a treat for you today as I've had two cards to share and it's been a while since I've been this creative in one day!! Lets hope the trend continues.

Thank you for stopping by & as always your comments are truly appreciated.

Spooky Green!

Hey!

This weekend has gone WAY too fast :( and I didn't get half as much done as I'd hoped to but I have 2 whole days to myself as my hunny goes to London on a business trip. Half of me wishes I was going to for some retail therapy but on the other hand I'm looking forward to the house & Studio to myself!

I'm in the process of reorganising The Studio so it works better & I'm taking advantage of the loft space for the stuff I NEED but don't always need on hand! I will share some pictures of The Studio once I'm complete!

So, with all the DIY in the house and Studio organising I haven't had much time to create projects :( I did manage to squeeze in time to make this lil hybrid card...

I used another of the Super FREE Saturday BOO! papers for my card in this Spooky Green colour (SU! Lucky Limeade). One lil feature on the 4 papers contained in this collection is that in the top left hand corner of each of the papers is this spider web and spider to add a little interest and also for those who are not keen on digital stamps.

All I did was simply print the patterned paper which comes as a JPG file and cut the corner of the paper to fit my card. Simples! I printed the 'Happy Halloween' sentiment which is from the EEK! digital stamp collection and used a SU! punch to cut it out. A final bit of Prisma Glitter was added to the spider and I was done.

I used the current iSpy sketch HERE and seen below for the LO of my card.

Well, that's all from me today, I will be back again tomorrow with more cards to share :) Thanks for stopping by today.

BOO! It's Super FREE Saturday!

Hey!

Happy Weekend & Happy Super FREE Saturday! Yep, thats right it's time for the second Super FREE Saturday digital collection, it's available HERE on the website.

So lets get straight to it...

Boo! is a graphic Halloween/Autumn collection featuring 4 paper designs and 4 images both in a brush & PNG format. The colours like all my digital collections coordinate with Stampin' Up! The SU! colours in this collection are Pumpkin Pie, Lucky Limeade, Elegant Eggplant & Basic Grey.

This collection has SO many possibilities & coordinates perfectly with the previously released EEK! digital download collection available HERE. Plus the Halloween digital paper collections HERE and HERE.

How about a card...

I decided to make a square card 14 x 14 cm and used the current Freshly Made Sketch challenge sketch HERE and seen below for the layout of my card. Now, I wanted to tell you a little bit about the size of this 'Scary Boo! Pumpkin tag/label and so that's why I chose this image for my card from the collection.

Up to now all the round images either in the Uniko Studio Clear Stamp Sets or digital collections coordinate with a 1 3/4" circle punch. This tag in this collection is set at the right size to coordinate with a 2 1/2" circle punch or die.

On my card I have cut the image out by hand and layered it onto the PTI Limitless Layers 2 1/2" circle die and scallop die. If I had punched my printed image out with a 2 1/2" circle punch there would be a white border and I would have only matted it to the scallop circle for my card. So, basically my card shows the options available for this image!

Here's a close up...

This card also fits perfectly into the current DYSU challenge which is to use Scallops, check the challenge out HERE.

I'd love to see what you all create using this freebie collection so just add your link in the tool below & I'll pop by to see it & leave a comment :)

Have fun & enjoy the rest of your weekend. I'll be back again tomorrow with more to share with this collection. Thanks for stopping by!

EEK!

Hey!

Happy Wednesday! How's your week going? Good I hope, I can't believe how quickly mine is going! I'm getting into the spirit of Halloween today inspired by all the party stuff and costumes in the shops. Every year there seems to be more and more so it's obviously getting more popular here in the UK. So with that in mind I created a couple of cards for the occasion...

For this first card I used the NEW EEK! Digital Downloadable stamp collection available from the Uniko Studio website HERE.

Instructions:

1. Create a blank document in Adobe Photoshop that was 8.5 x 14 cm.
2. Load EEK! brushes into Photoshop
3. Select the spiderweb brush and make it slightly lager and stamp it in the upper right hand corner.
4. Select the spider brush and stamp it in the lower left of the document.
5. Using the marque tool select the spider and edit transform to turn it 180 degrees.
6. Using the line tool draw a dashed line from the web to the spider.
7. Chose the 'Happy Halloween' sentiment brush and enlarge and stamp in the lower centre of the document.
8. Print document and trim to adhere to card base.

Before I adhered the digital panel to my card base I used the blank mini banner stamp from Wonderful Washi & stamped it onto a paper printed from Eclectic Mix Halloween and cut it out. I also stamped the hexagon mini banner onto Lucky Limeade CS and cut it out.

This card fits into the current CAS-ual Friday's challenge HERE which is to use black, white & a colour of your choice. I chose Lucky Limeade from SU! as my colour choice.

The next card I have to share with you today uses EEK! Along with Eclectic Mix Halloween and Classics Halloween...

A super simple card LO using the circle Trick or Treat label brush from the EEK! digital stamp collection. If you use the circle brushes at the size they are when you load them they will coordinate with a 1 3/4" circle punch when you print them out!

I'm looking forward to using this digital stamp collection along with the paper collections to create some treat boxes and Halloween decorations. I will share them with you when I've had time to play!

That's all from me today, I'll be back again tomorrow with more projects to share using NEW goodies recently released at Uniko Studio.

Thanks for stopping by.
