TIME OUT Challenges - Inspired By Words

Hey!

It's time for challenge #37 over at TIME OUT Challenges and we are back to being inspired by words, the phrase for this fortnights challenge is...

Friendship is Golden

What do these words inspire you to create? I was inspired by the whole phrase, which resulted in this card...

I've been wanting to try THIS 'Fussy Cutting' technique, I saw over on the Papertrey Ink Make it Monday challenge for some time now and the 'Fabulous' sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #3 is kinda perfect for the technique. 

The layout of my card & paring stamps instantly jumped into my creative mind and I am fairly pleased with how it translated on to the card itself. Believe me it doesn't always happen that way! 

As you can see from this close up both the sentiment and the star banners from Garlands Galore are heat embossed gold.

A few of my favourite things!

There are a lot of things I love in life and I could probably write an essay length post, but don't worry, I'm not going to! 

Today I am sharing a card which incorporates a few of my favourite things in paper crafting, stamping & designing.

I created todays card firstly in my favourite colour combination, yep you guessed it, turquoise, pink & yellow!

Another of my favourite things is to join in on paper crafting challenges. Since the beans arrived and running Uniko, I don't have a whole lot of time to 'play' with my paper crafting supplies! But tonight I set aside a little time to play! I had this card idea in my head using the CAS Colours & Sketches layout seen HERE and below for the July Release here at Uniko, but I simply ran of of time to make samples.

Another of my favourite things to do relates to my design process. When designing new stamps for Uniko I often look back at sets I have previously released for inspiration and coordination purposes. I LOVE getting the most out of my stamps and breathing new life into previously released ones and opening up more creative possibilities.

This applies to the 2 sets I have used on todays card, Garlands Galore & Flower Power #7. I used the flower from Flower Power #7 to create the solid flower garland and I love the combined result of using them together on this card :) 

How about a little FUN GIVEAWAY... This flower also appears in another 2 Uniko clear stamp sets, the first person to guess them both correctly in the comments below will receive a stamp set in the mail!

Introducing... Garlands Galore

Hey!

Yay! Now the real fun begins as today the DT and I get to introduce the first product being released on July 11th :) 

Here is the sneak peek I shared earlier in case you missed it...

So the title of this set kinda gives it away really as it describes it down to a T! It is packed full of mix and match opportunities along with pairing nicely with lots of other Uniko products.

I've created a project using the set...

While I had this card layout sketched for sometime before it was created, I don't always decide on colours when I sketch my ideas. So when I saw that the current "Less is More" challenge was patriotic colours I decided to go with those & I am really pleased I did. You can join in on the "Less is More" challenge fun HERE.

I used mainly stamps from the upcoming Garlands Galore, but paired them with a favourite sentiment on mine from A Gift For You.
