Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Flower Power

 Good morning all,

Steph here and today I am focusing on the Uniko Flower Power series for my Brand Ambassador inspiration.

My first card uses Uniko Flower Power #2 stamp set. I have also used the Uniko Flower Power #1 - #6 matching die set for some of these cards.

The flower stems and sentiments are stamped directly onto the card and the flower heads have been stamped, die cut and adhered using foam pads.

My next card uses Uniko Flower Power #4 stamp set.

Both the stems and the flower heads have been stamped and die cut with the stems being adhered to the card flat, and the heads again adhered using foam pads.

My final card uses Uniko Flower Power #6 stamp set.

I didn't use the die set here but I did want to move away from the CAS nature of the first two cards and fill the background with florals. I used the flower head and one of the leaves from the set and stamped them around the sentiment from the Uniko Birthday Wishes stamp set.

My passion for this series of stamps has definitely been re-ignited having had a play around with them. I have used only one Flower Power stamp set per card but of course you can mix and match these sets so the possibilities are endless!

Much love

Friday Focus - Flower Power #1 - #4

Hello & Happy Friday,

I'm a lot later than planned but I'm here today with a Friday Focus looking at the Flower Power clear stamps numbers 1 - 4.

There are currently 8 mini clear stamp sets in this series and a set of Designer Dies that match flowers 1-6 and the stem with leaves. I often think they are over looked by crafters at their creative potential. And I will be continuing the Flower Power focus next Friday with numbers 5 - 8.

Like most things in the craft industry, I think you need to see things in action to see the possibilities. There is another reason why I am focusing on this series of stamps, but you'll have to wait a bit longer to find that out!

This series of stamps is designed in a mix and match way, so that if you own 2 or more you can 'build' different floral combinations. The sentiment font is the same in each of the sets and each set offers a different theme of sentiments. And like most of my product designs they have a modern look to them.

Let's have a look at some new cards I've made using the clear stamp sets seen above.

For my first card today I decided to focus purely on the Designer Dies and the flower die that matches Flower Power #1. I opted for my usual Honeysuckle, Buttercup and Aqua Sky for the flowers and a nice Parsley green for the stems.

This card has an Orla Kiely inspired look to it and I used a big bunch of the Concord & 9th White enamel dots for the flower centres. My sentiment choice is from Flower Power #3.

Next I wanted to show how these flowers look with Uniko backgrounds and one I've not used for a while, Large Background French Script.

For my colours this time I went for some peachy colours, Sorbet, Grapefruit and Creamsicle for the Flower Power #2 blooms. Along with the same Parsley green for the leaves. The leaves of which I sneakily used from Flower Power #6!

The script background is stamped in Pebble a lovely earthy grey and my sentiment is from Flower Power #2 and one of my favourites.

Next is Flower Power #3 and the Uniko brand image. I also used one of the Uniko brand colours for the outline flower bloom which is a stylised Chrysanthemum. My stem is from Flower Power #4 and sentiment from Flower Power #1.

Lastly for today, but by no means least is the flower from Flower Power #4. This flower has some fun builder options giving different looks to the bloom.

I used the stem and sentiment from from Flower Power #2 and kept the theme of colours going and unusually for me opting for a colour card base. I also dug out some ribbon from my stash to add little loops to the edge of my panel.

I've absolutely loved inking up these clear stamps and playing with different combinations and pairings. I think my second card comes out as my top fave today. I think it's the colours and pairing with the background.

How about you, which is your favourite?

I hope you've enjoyed this Friday Focus and thank you for stopping by today.

Wonderful Wednesday Restock Alert!

Hello & Happy Wednesday.

I'm hunkering down in the studio today and really hoping this crazy wind and rain settles before it's time to pick the beans up from school! And whilst distracting myself from the weather, I made this card...

I saw THIS card I came across on Pinterest by Lynn Mangan whom I have followed for quite a few years now and being inspired to use the Designer Dies Flower Power 1-6 Collection that arrived back in stock yesterday, I set to putting my own spin on it.

I started by die cutting the top panel with the Flower Power #4 die from the collection six times. I then laid this over my card base layer to position and stamp the solid flower from Flower Power #4 clear stamp set, inside the die cuts using C9 Poppy ink. The centre of the flowers is from Flower Power #5.

I love how Lynn stamped just one leaf stem, so kept this feature. I used the stem & leaves from Flower Power #1 clear stamp set and also the Thinking of You sentiment. I used foam tape to adhere the die cut panel in place and added some gloss black Nuvo drops to finish.

So, if you've been waiting for the Designer Dies Flower Power 1-6 Collection they are now back in stock.

This is all I have to share today. Lots more coming this week, so stay tuned!

May / June 2023 Release Sneak Peeks

Hello & Happy Monday.

What better way to start off a new week, than with some New Release sneak peeks? It might be a small release, but I'm pretty excited about these additions to the Uniko line up and I think they pack a punch.

As you know I love different design period styles and another one that captures my attention is Bauhaus. So I took a few of my favourite elements and put these into a couple of products.

First up this sneak peek gives a big hint to this fun clear stamp set called Bauhaus Blocks.

Next is a sneak peek at a new Stencil - Layering Bauhaus Block Builder...

And lastly for today I have a floral addition with Stencil - Flower Power #4...

So what do you think? I'd love to know what you are excited to see in action. Which leads me to say, I hope you will join myself and the Uniko Brand Ambassadors as we begin the official introductions tomorrow.

All the products will be available 9am Friday 2nd June 2023.

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Flower Power

Good morning

Anita here wishing you a very Happy Easter Sunday.  We've certainly had a glorious couple of days here in the UK so far this bank holiday weekend, Spring has definitely sprung!  I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend, however you're spending it.

Before I get started on my makes, I'd just like to make you aware of a 10% discount code that Bev is kindly offering on all orders this Easter weekend so if you do want to make a purchase, please do use the code easterspecial10 for a discount...

Ok, onto my cards, and I chose to use some of the great Flower Power stamp sets for these.

First up, a little emboss resist and ink blending...

I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Flower Power #3 stamp set in VersaMark ink onto some white cardstock and heat embossed them with white embossing powder.  I then ink blended with Distress Oxides before cutting with dies from the Designer Dies Flower Power #1 - #6 Collection. I adhered these to the card base, popping the flower heads up on 3D foam and then stamped the sentiment from the Flower Power #4 stamp set onto a die cut sentiment strip.

Next up I created a stamped floral background as my focal point...

These cute little roses and leaves are from the Flower Power #6 stamp set and the flower head is created with two-step stamping.  So I stamped the solid image first in lilac and then over-stamped with the petals image in a darker purple.  I then created a mask to stamp the leaves up against the flower heads.  The sentiment, also from the same stamp set, has been stamped and heat embossed in white on a strip of purple cardstock.  I then adhered the strip to the panel before die cutting the panel with a scalloped rectangle.

For my final card I watercoloured the flowers using watercolour pencils.  Unfortunately, my camera has washed out the colour a little on this one...

On some Strathmore Bristol cardstock I stamped and heat embossed a few flowers at a time, these being from the Flower Power #2 stamp set.  When stamping the subsequent flowers, I brushed away the embossing powder where it overlapped the already embossed flowers, this could also be done with a mask.  I then painted the flowers using a wet brush and picking up the colour from the tips of the pencils.  I made a die cut panel with an aperture and stamped the sentiment, also from the Flower Power #2 set, and adhered the floral panel behind the aperture, before adhering the panel to the card base using fun foam.

As you can see from these, the Flower Power sets are great for mixing and matching, and can used in so many ways.  There are lots of floral elements and numerous sentiments in each set.

Crafty hugs to you all and very best wishes for a Happy Easter Sunday.  Don't eat too much chocolate!  Actually, on second thoughts...you only live once, eat that chocolate and enjoy it!

Uniko 10th Birthday Celebrations - Featuring Alumni Ren-Yi

Happy Monday!

What an exciting week we have in store. But before we get to the release countdown fun tomorrow, we have our last Alumni joining us today. I am absolutely delighted to have Ren-Yi as our featured Alumni.

Ren-Yi joined Uniko in October 2012, when Uniko expanded the team and ventured more into the digital stamp world and was an integral part of the team along with launching Uniko's Challenges.

Let's have a look at the original card Ren-Yi chose as inspiration, which uses the solid flower from Flower Power #4.

I love this bokeh style of stamping to create an eye catching background. This of which Ren-Yi has created on her stunning new card below.

Ren-Yi created a beautiful watercolour background and used the Background Blocks Scattered Hearts to create the soft bokeh effect along the edge. The focal image is the silhouette from Just Because, stamped and then outlined by hand with a gold marker. Isn't this a beauty.

Thank you so much Ren-Yi for joining us and hopefully it won't be as long till next time!

So, that was our last Alumni CASE Yourself feature this month. I do hope you have enjoyed the feature reminiscing with me and all the old and new inspiration.

I do hope you will stop by tomorrow for a little surprise and our release sneak peeks! Until then, Crafty Hugs
