Still TIME to join in on the TIME OUT Challenge!

Hey!

There is still TIME to join in on the challenge over at TIME OUT Challenges! This fortnight is a theme challenge, the theme being...

CAS & Twist Black & White with a Splash of 1 Colour

We have a FABulous sponsor for this challenge... CASual Fridays, the winner will receive a $20 Gift Voucher.

Here is my take on the theme using the twist...

This time I went for a soft blue to compliment the black & white and as I know who I am sending the card to I chose a get well sentiment. I added some glitter sparkle and a little bit of the same colour Soft Sky from SU! to the dots on the leaves which you can see a close up of in the photo below.

The card also has quite a bit of dimension, which sometimes the extra postage cost is worth it!

Anyway, this fortnight we have a lovely guest designer joining us, Susanne be sure to stop by Susanne's blog Keep In Touch! to see how she was inspired by the photo and of course the FABulous TIME OUT Challenges Design Team...

For all the info and to link up your challenge be sure to stop by the TIME OUT Challenges blog. I look forward to seeing your creations :) I'll be back soon with more to share, until then, thank you for stopping by today.

Feeling Better ...

Hello!

So sorry to have left you hanging for the past few days with no new cards to share with you all, it's been a little crazy here in The Studio what with work deadlines and being unwell at the same time isn't a good mix.

I'm back today on form with a CAS card ...

For this card I used the current Play Date Cafe Challenge colours seen HERE and below and also the current Less Is More Challenge which is a sketch seen HERE and below...

The colours screamed flowers to me so I had to use the Pure Florals: Gerbera stamp set and paired it with a sentiment from Extra Time. The colours are so cheery that I felt it to be a get well card, it certainly cheered me up to get back to stamping for the blog here.

Thats all from me today, thank you for stopping by.
Hugs

Easily Addicted ...

Hey!

As you can see by the photo below I have made yet another rosette flower with a clock face! Yes, I am easily addicted to a product or more & go through phases of this with old & new stash! Do you have this problem?!

My excuse for making another rosette using the Memory Box die is that I wanted to they out some NEW papers I bought at the weekend as I do hoard pretty papers & I am trying to be good & not hoard them as much!!

The paper I have used is a NEW Teresa Collins 6 x 6 pad called Carolina Breeze. The colour theme of the pad is yellow, very, white & black, a combination I'm still loving. I used one sheet from the pad to make the rosette & mat for the white layer. The papers are double sided so I used both sides.

The scroll is die cut using another of my NEW purchases the Memory Box Scrollwork die. The clock face & sentiment are from the Extra Time stamp set.

Thats all from me today! I will be back tomorrow with something different & possibly a little announcement if all goes to plan!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Feel Better Flower!

Happy March 1st! It's been a sunny day here in the North East and the temperatures are rising slowly and I can feel Spring is around the corner! This is reflected vaguely in the card I have to share with you all today!

I popped along to The Paperlane my local craft shop today to see what new goodies Caz had in the shop and to buy some more Sizzix dies. I have been slowly collecting various shapes like the hearts and stars and this time I bought the flowers. It's a lovely shaped and I thought it would pair lovely with my stamps so in the basket they went! One thing I LOVE about the Sizzix dies is that they have the die measurements on the packet, a simple yet useful thing to know! You can see a project HERE where I have used the hearts.

Anyway, onto todays card ...

I'm back to my comfort zone today of CAS! However I seem to be on a Kraft CS kick at the moment! This card is SO simple yet I love the way it turned out!

I simply chose the 2 1/4" flower die and used it to cut out a frame from the mat CS layer. When I had die cut the shape it had left a slight embossed frame around the edge so I used my quickie glue pen and added some Hero Arts prisma glitter  - gotta love that stuff! I then stamped the sentiment below using Raspberry Fizz ink.

Before I adhered the layer to the base card with foam pads, I temporarily adhered it to the card base with removable adhesive so that I could position the clock face perfectly and stamp it using Raspberry Fizz ink.   I also rounded the corners to soften the edges of the card to reflect the soft curves of the flower.

Ta dah! Such an easy card with SO many mix and match options with all the sentiments & clock faces available in the Uniko Studio Time & Extra Time stamp sets!

I'm off to squeeze in another card before I catch up with some TV series with my hunny! Blue Bloods & Fringe are calling me! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by today!
