Super FREE Saturday!

Hey & Happy Weekend!

I can't believe that today is the last day of November and it is also Super Free Saturday here at Uniko Studio. I've been a bit sporadic this year with the Super Free Saturdays this year and it is on my New Years Resolution list to get them as regular as clock work for 2014!

Anyway, let's have a look at this months freebie...

It's called Peace * Love * Joy and is trio of circular labels with a mini poinsettia inside them. They come in a mini PNG file which is available for download HERE on the website.

I had ideas galore in which to use these little labels, but time flew away from me and I only managed to whip up this trio of cards which are inspired by THIS snowflake card made by Maile Belles.

I simply printed off the file with the 3 labels and fussy cut them out. I then used my At You Spica Pens to colour the poinsettia in and the rim of the label. This is then layered onto the largest Designer Die Snowflake and adhered to the card using foam adhesive. The medium and small snowflake die cuts are adhered flat to the card. Below is a close up of the detail, it doesn't  show how sparkly the poinsettia is though in the photo but it is there in real life.

After making this one I went on to make two more with the same colours but switching them around....

I can't decide which colour version I like the best! I do hope you will pop over to the website HERE & download the file. I'd LOVE to see too what you make using them and you can link your project up HERE into the current challenge too, email entries are welcome too just email me a photo of your project & I'll upload your entry.

While your over on the website why not check out the Black Friday & Cyber Monday Bargains! They end on Monday midnight GMT and they're being snapped up and you wouldn't want to miss out.

Ok, that's all from me today I will be back tomorrow with my Countdown to Christmas advent, where I will be sharing an ideas & quick projects to hopefully inspire you a bit more with your Christmas & Holiday preparations. Until then , thank you for stopping by today :)

Super FREE Saturday - Funky Florals

Hey!

Welcome to another Super FREE Saturday here at Uniko Studio. This month brings you a super trendy digital print out collection featuring funky florals in some yummy Stampin' Up! colours, check it out...

This Super FREE Saturday collection can be downloaded for FREE via the Uniko Studio website HERE. Simply register on the website if you haven't already and download the file - easy!

How about a couple of projects using the collection...

For my first card I used one of the journalling cards and stamped a sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #1 and Time. I printed an extra journalling card so I could fussy cut the flower out and adhere it using foam adhesive.

Before I adhered the journalling card to the SU! Strawberry Slush mat layer I stamped same said layer with the small polka dots from Background Builders: Round In Circles using white pigment ink.

For my next card using the freebie I decided to use the current Uniko Studio Challenge sketch seen HERE and below...

I used a 1 3/4" circle punch to cut out the round label from the collection and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Label Love: Birthday before mounting it onto a die cut.

The friend sentiment is from All Occasion Sentiments #3 and I stamped it before I adhered the white panels to the base card using foam adhesive. I printed & fussy cut a couple of the flowers which appear on the red journalling card to finish the sketch layout.

Why not have a go & use the freebie to create a card & enter it into the Uniko Studio Challenge #2?

A few of the Design Team have created projects using the collection too, links to their blogs are below...

I hope you enjoy the freebie! Thanks for stopping by today :)

Super FREE Saturday - Summer Bloom

Hey!

I'm SO glad you stopped by the blog today as I've a treat in store for you all :) Yep, it's time for another Super FREE Saturday...

This Super FREE Saturday collection is called Summer Bloom and it can be downloaded for FREE via the Uniko Studio website HERE. Simply register if you haven't already and download the file - easy!

This collection features a solid and linear bloom, leaf stem and one sentiment. The images come as individual Photoshop brushes (CS5) and also transparent PNG files.

How about a card showing you how I've used the collection...

I created a super simple card which was really easy to do. I started out by creating a 10 cm x 14 cm document in Photoshop. I then selected the solid stem and leaves, changed the colour and adjusted the size of my brush and stamped it on my document. I then stamped the sentiment and also the linear bloom.

I then transferred this document into an A4 document to print, but before I printed it out I chose another Uniko Studio Digital Downloadable Collection - Round In Circles and selected a small piece of one of the patterned papers. I then stamped the linear flower over the top. I used my bucket tool to fill in some of the areas of the bloom and then printed my document.

I trimmed the mat layer to size and mounted it onto my base card and then fussy cut the bloom out and adhered it slightly off centre using foam adhesive, I added a little touch of glitter and left it at that!

If you download the collection and use it I'd LOVE to see your projects, why not upload them to the Uniko Studio Flickr Group HERE or send me a link to your project on your blog or you can even email me a photo!

That's NOT all from me this morning, I'll be back in 30 minutes with the BIG June Release Design Team Blog Hop, Enjoy!

More ho ho ho - let it snow!

Hey!

I'm back today with more Super FREE Saturday 'ho ho ho - let it snow'! If you missed the fun yesterday you can check it all HERE. If you download and use the kit I'd LOVE to see what you create so don't forget to add a link to your project in the link tool or email me a photo!

For my first card today I broke away from snowflakes for one card and whipped this hybrid card up...

I used layers and my paint bucket tool to make this card and it's quite easy, I promise to do a little tutorial at some point this week to share some tips with you all.

Once I had printed my bauble panel I used the PTI Bottle Hanger Die to cut it out and just trimmed off the bottle hanging section. A splash of glitter on the baubles, some striped ribbon and a few rhinestones finished it off...

I couldn't stay away from the snowflakes for long...

This time I paired it with some Decorative Doilies - The Hands of Time snowflakes! There's plenty of glitter and sparkle on this card thats for sure...

I hope you've enjoyed today's projects and little video! I'm squeezing in a little inky time this morning to create some cards to share with you this coming week :)

Have a good day & thank you for stopping by!

Super FREE Saturday!

Hey!

Whoop Whoop! It's that time of the month for another Super FREE Saturday. If your not sure what it's all about it's explained HERE in the very first Super FREE Saturday post. So, this month we're getting into the Holiday Spirit with a bit of 'ho ho ho - let it snow'!

Here's a pic of what's contained in this months FREE download...

This FREE kit available for download HERE from the Uniko Studio website contains 4 digital stamps that come in a brush and a PNG file and 3 patterned papers in JPG format in both A4 and US Letter size. Not bad for a freebie - huh!

How about a couple of cards showing you what you can do with this kit...

I love, love LOVE snow & snowflakes! So I decided to use the polka dot paper and the 'let it snow' digital stamp sentiment to make this CAS card that would be super easy to mass produce in no time at all!

Another contemporary and classy colour combo Red, White & Kraft - yum! A bit of added sparkle with rhinestones and glitter tops it off to perfection!

One thing I love about my job is designing something I've wanted and needed in order to get a start on my Christmas cards and that was a 'let it snow' sentiment! So, I couldn't resist making another card using it!

Another contemporary and classy colour combo on this card and another of my FAVES! For this card I used the Wonderful Washi stamp set, I hear you say "where"!

I used one of the larger Washi stamps and stamped it onto the reverse of each of the patterned papers contained in the kit in a light ink so that I could cut a perfect Washi ribbon! Once I had cut the Washi ribbons out I added some Hero Arts Prisma Glitter to all the white patterns, glitter is ESSENTIAL when creating Christmas cards!

Ok, so that's enough from me how about a look at how the Design Team & Digital Design Team have used the kit...

Be sure to pop on by the website to download the 'ho ho ho -  let it snow' kit and the Autumn SALE is still on!

I'd LOVE to see what you create using the freebie so post a link to your project below or email me a photo and I'll load it to the Uniko Studio Flickr site HERE and link it up here too!

I'll be back again tomorrow with a couple more SFS 'ho ho ho let it snow' cards to share with you. Thanks for stopping by today.

Spooky Green!

Hey!

This weekend has gone WAY too fast :( and I didn't get half as much done as I'd hoped to but I have 2 whole days to myself as my hunny goes to London on a business trip. Half of me wishes I was going to for some retail therapy but on the other hand I'm looking forward to the house & Studio to myself!

I'm in the process of reorganising The Studio so it works better & I'm taking advantage of the loft space for the stuff I NEED but don't always need on hand! I will share some pictures of The Studio once I'm complete!

So, with all the DIY in the house and Studio organising I haven't had much time to create projects :( I did manage to squeeze in time to make this lil hybrid card...

I used another of the Super FREE Saturday BOO! papers for my card in this Spooky Green colour (SU! Lucky Limeade). One lil feature on the 4 papers contained in this collection is that in the top left hand corner of each of the papers is this spider web and spider to add a little interest and also for those who are not keen on digital stamps.

All I did was simply print the patterned paper which comes as a JPG file and cut the corner of the paper to fit my card. Simples! I printed the 'Happy Halloween' sentiment which is from the EEK! digital stamp collection and used a SU! punch to cut it out. A final bit of Prisma Glitter was added to the spider and I was done.

I used the current iSpy sketch HERE and seen below for the LO of my card.

Well, that's all from me today, I will be back again tomorrow with more cards to share :) Thanks for stopping by today.

Label Love: Thank You

Hey!

I'm back with a couple of cards to share using the NEW Label Love: Thank You stamp set which was released yesterday HERE on the Uniko Studio website.

Easing myself back gently into the swing of non holiday life I used the current Clean & Simple sketch seen HERE and below my card for this creation...

The labels in this set are perfect for creating an interesting stamped background as well as being a focal point. For my card I used the zig zag edge label and paired it with a sentiment from FONTiments - Birthday.

Here is the sketch...

And here is a little close up photo of the card...

For this next card I decided to pair Label Love: Thank You with Classics Autumn digital downloadable patterned paper collection available HERE from the website.

I started out with a SU! Crumb Cake card base and die cut a piece of the Classics Autumn polka dot paper with a large scallop die from PTI. I then layered a strip of SU! Soft Suede CS with Dark Chocolate Twill Ribbon to the card base slightly overlapping the polka dot strip.

I thought the label with the leaf detail was a perfect fit for a neutral Autumn card so stamped it in matching SU! Crumb Cake ink and punched it out using a 1 3/4" circle punch. The scallop circle is die cut from SU! Chocolate Chip CS using a PTI die and adhered to the card using foam adhesive.

Thats all I have to share with you for today, but I will be back again tomorrow with more projects using the NEW products released yesterday HERE at Uniko Studio. If you missed all the fun you can catch up HERE and there is still time for you to comment on the post before I select a random lucky winner to receive a prize!

The winner of the CeLeBrAtInG 15,000 blog hits blog candy winner was announced earlier HERE.

Thanks for stopping by.

Classic

Hey!

Wow, this week is zooming by which is good and bad, bad because I haven't done everything I planned to do but GOOD because my vacation is tomorrow! Whoop! Hot sunshine here I come :)

It could possibly be a little quiet on the blog over the next couple of days with no scheduled posts, but not to worry the Sneak Peeks start on MONDAY for the September release!!

Due to me being away on the 11th the reveal and release day will be Saturday 15th September!  I will also announce the winner of the blog candy of the 16th September. There is still time to enter!

Anyway, how about a couple of projects using this Classic collection...

This digital paper collection was released for The Queens Diamond Jubilee here in the UK but the colours can be used for any occasion and more so they are great for masculine cards! Below is a new project using the collection...

This card shows how the paper collection can be used for more feminine cards which are not your typical soft pastels or bright pinks and oranges. I used the Pure Florals: Gerbera flower and paired it with the red gingham paper from the collection. I used the current Freshly Made Sketch HERE and seen below for my card layout.

I've picked out a couple of older projects using this collection that show the masculine possibilities for this collection...

I hope today's projects both new & old have given you some ideas of how to incorporate your patterned papers into your projects.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Lattice Love

Hey!

Happy Weekend! Have you any inky plans this weekend? I hope to get a little inky and spend some time in the studio making a few NEW projects.

I'm back today however with the next instalment in the previously released product focus and my focus today is Background Builders Lattice...

This is a FAB building set which uses the trendy lattice/quatrefoil image - yum! So how about a few NEW projects using this set...

Keeping it Clean & Simple for this minty fresh beauty for the Moxie FAB World Minty Fresh Challenge HERE and also the Addicted To Stamps CAS Challenge HERE

I started out by masking off 2cm at the top and bottom of the card base I stamped one of the Background Builder Lattice stamps in Fresh Snow ink. I then took a piece of white card stock stamped and embossed another of the Lattice designs using fine detail white embossing powder. I then used one Distress Marker colour to create a monochrome ombre effect on the 2 layer butterfly.

Here's a close up ...

Background Builders Lattice also has a digital downloadable paper collection called Modern Lattice available HERE and seen below...

I had to use my FAVE paper from this collection for my next card, the tiny floral paper and kept it CAS to keep in line with the Addicted To Stamps CAS Challenge...

I selected some Soft Stone card stock to use as a mat for the patterned paper before adhering it to the white card base. I left a gap to break up the patterned paper collection and to create space for a sentiment from Time. The die cut flower is a Memory Box die and die cut from card stock which coordinates with the collection.

Now you've seen some NEW projects using this set & digital paper collection how about some oldies but goodies...

As you can see from this card the lattice pairs superbly with the graphic flowers from Time! This next card uses one of the single stamps contained in the set and uses paper piecing one of my FAVE techniques with these smaller stamps...

This card uses one of the patterned papers contained in the Modern Lattice digital paper collection along with the butterfly from English Country Garden digital stamp set and a sentiment from FONTiments - Birthday.

That's all for today using Background Builders Lattice and Modern Lattice digital paper collection. I hope you've enjoyed todays post?! I'll be back again tomorrow with another product focus or two. Thanks for stopping by.
