Oh What Fun!

Hey!

Happy Sunday :) Did you all have a good World Card Making Day? I sure had fun yesterday with Caz & all the ladies at The Paperlane. Thank you for everyone who popped by the demo in the morning and who came to the class, it really makes me happy to see people enjoying the hobby of stamping & card making .

I thought I'd share a couple of the projects we made in the class yesterday for my non local readers...

I had a theme yesterday of Christmas Wreaths & Poinsettias to help us embrace the fact that Christmas is not far away. This first card seen above is a Christmas variation of this card HERE, it's a little fussy to mass produce, due to all the little fussy cut flowers, but I find fussy cutting quite enjoyable!

The next card we made was inspired by Aimes' card HERE, as soon as I saw it I knew I had to look through my supplies to see how I could recreate the wreath without the die she had used. It was quite easy with a scalloped circle & small circle die...

The quickness and simplicity of this card made it my favourite and one that I will definitely be mass producing for my Christmas cards this year!

Once I had die cut my wreath I used one of the leaf stamps from Natures Treasures 1 to add the stamped leaf detail and to continue the theme of Poinsettias I used the solid flower from Flower Power #1. A few red rhinestones and sentiment from Label Love: Christmas finished it off perfectly.

Below is a photo I took during the class yesterday, we had a lot of creative fun & I'm looking forward to doing it all again later this month on Saturday 19th October (The date has changed since the date announced yesterday at The Paperlane,  Caz got a little mixed up with prior engagements!)

That's all from me today, I will be back tomorrow with a couple more cards to share which I made during the class & demo yesterday. Thanks for stopping by :)

Jam Packed!

Hey!

Happy Weekend! This is one jam packed Saturday here at Uniko Studio, firstly I am at The Paper Lane today in Northallerton, UK. Doing a Uniko Studio Clear Stamp Demo morning 10 - 2pm and also a class 2 - 5pm.

If your out and about near Northallerton pop in & say 'Hello', I'd love to see you :) I'll do my best to remember to take some photo's this time to share with you all here on the blog!

Today, Uniko Studio is sponsoring & Guest Designing for Addicted to CAS you can see my project below and join in with all the fun HERE at the Addicted to CAS blog.

The challenge code word is.... Embossing and so I decided to do some heat embossing on my cards...

On this first card I stamped the solid Gerbera flower from Uniko Studio Pure Florals: Gerbera with Smokey Shadow ink onto Basic Grey CS. I then stamped the Lattice design over the top using VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Crystal EP.

Just look at that sparkle...

For my second card I used the same CS but switched the stamps and EP to White Detail! I started out stamping & embossing the individual chevrons from Uniko Studio Wonderful Washi: Christmas. The label is heat embossed with white detail onto Soft Stone CS, cut out and mounted onto the card using foam adhesive.

All supplies are listed below! If you join in on the fun over at Addicted to CAS, you could win yourself some Uniko Studio goodies!

Along with all that I am super excited as this Paper Crafts magazine is out today...

Why, am I excited about this particular magazine? Well, Uniko Studio's TIME clear stamp is featured in this magazine and I can't wait to get my copy in the mail to see it!!

That's enough excitement for one day! If you missed the Design Team Blog Hop yesterday you can catch up on it HERE. There's a chance to win a Uniko Studio Extra Time stamp set so you might just want to check it out!

Christmas Krafting

Hey!

Happy Weekend! Today is the Uniko Studio demo day at The Paper Lane - YAY! I'm also teaching a class after the demo and prepared a few projects for the class to make...

This first project consisting of the card above and tag & bottle tag gift card holder below was inspired by DT Member Kerry's release day project HERE.

I loved the elegance of Kerry's project the kraft mixed with black and the Poinsettia so created this little ensemble! Being a CAS girl and that the class has limited time I skipped the Copic shading that Kerry has incorporated on her project!

My next project for the class continues the Kraft CS theme...

Another yummy seasonal colour combination and my love of turning those Decorative Doilies into snowflakes!

There is one more project I put together for the class, but will save that for another day to share with you. I'll be taking along my camera to capture the happenings of the day which I'll share with you all :)

Have a great day & thanks for stopping by.

If only...

Hey!

There are lots of way's I could start todays post with the title of 'If only...' But today it has relevance to the card I'm sharing...

If only there could be Peace On Earth this world would be a better place. I check the news every morning and most day's it's quite depressing & hardly any good news.

So I made this peaceful Christmas card today in a peaceful studio using the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and below...

I have a thing for red, white & kraft at the moment and for using the NEW Pure Florals: Poinsettia clear stamp set! I've also completed the projects for the class I'm teaching after the demo on Saturday and will share those in due course, don't want to spoil the surprise!

Anyway, that's all from me this evening as I've still a few jobs to complete before I call it a night & go in to snuggle & watch a movie with my hunny!

Thanks for stopping by, until tomorrow...

Demo Day Photos Part 2

Happy Tuesday!

Today is a busy day again in the Studio packing more pre-orders & shipping them out :) it's all good fun though! I'm here today though to share a few more photo's from the demo day at The Stamp Attic

I made some bunting before I went to The Stamp Attic so that I had something to hang on the wall behind me, I just LOVE creating bunting! I'll have to make another one soon as I left this with Wendy at The Stamp Attic along with LOTS of card samples!

The photo above is a close up of the middle section. I used PTI's banner dies to create the elements apart from the stars which are the Sizzix Framelit dies that Wendy sells in the shop & now I've seen that Sizzix do a triangle & scallop triangle die set so I'll be buying them for my next bunting creation!

The bunting piece on the right is one of my favourites as I love the clocking in card with the tabs of ribbon, the layering of the clock face with the stamped graphic flower & the 3 circle stamped on the top edge accented with gems.

This section is a close second favourite as I like the clocking in card stamped as a background with the overlay of cut out cogs & clock face! The lace circle is a die from PTI's Limitless layers. Lots of bling too :)

This is a sparkly section using the graphic flowers & stamping them with Versamark & heat embossing with crystal EP. I used a craft knife to cut out the scallop sections of the largest flower. I chose red white & blue as my colours as I'm getting in the British spirit with the up & coming Jubilee celebrations!!

Now I have one more project to share today & that is the card below ...

Here I have used the pocket watch from Time & stamped & masked it up the edge of the card. I then stamped the clocking in card but stamped it off on some scrap paper before stamping on the piece of card for a more distressed feel. The pocket watch element is coloured with Copics & cut out. I ran out of 'Time' & would have love to have added some glossy accents to the pocket watch face!

Thats all I have to share from the demo day, but I will be back on Wednesday with a few more projects using some goodies I bought to use with my Uniko Studio Time & Extra Time stamps!!

Until tomorrow!

The Stamp Attic Demo Day

Hey!

Sorry to leave you with no post yesterday, I was SO tired Saturday after a fun filled day demoing at The Stamp Attic & yesterday after a LONG drive home! Anyway, I am back today a little later than usual to share a few pics from the day!

I was so busy having fun demoing & getting some retail therapy in the shop that I forgot to get more photos taken & tweet! LOL!

Here is me at my demo table making a card using the graphic flowers from the Time set. Wendy had an area set up in the section of the shop where she puts new supplies on display. During the quieter periods of the day there was yummy papers & stamps to the left of the photo on the wall to look at & accidentally fall into my shopping basket! And on the wall in front of me to look at was a yummy array of dies from Hero Arts, Sizzix & Memory Box to name a few. Some of which flew across to my shopping basket as if like magic!

After a bit of retail it was time to test some of these goodies whilst demoing with Uniko Studio stamps Time & Extra Time! So on this card I used a Memory Box die Rosette & some yummy paper by Basic Grey - Sweet Threads.

Below is a close up of the rosette clock face feature. I used just the inner clock face from one of the clock face stamps from the Extra Time stamp set along with the clocking in card & sentiment.

I just love the texture in the patterned papers & the colours :) I used the same paper for this next card and just had to try out the 'snowflake' arrangement with the clock hands like Aimes did HERE.

It's fun to do & I'm sure I will be playing with the other hands too! I used two of them on this card. Below is a close up of them. You can just about see in the photo below that I stamped the cog image along the right hand side of the base card. I used some Versamark Champagne ink which has a lovely shimmer to it.

I made a few more cards throughout the day & will share them with you tomorrow! It was lovely to meet & chat to everyone who came along & I hope to be back again soon if Wendy & The Stamp Attic will have me! LOL!

I best be off got some pre-orders to pack & ship as there is a few stampers itching to get their hands on the Uniko Studio stamps - can't wait to see what they make too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Window of Clocks ...

Happy Saturday!

Today I am a few 100 miles away from home visiting The Stamp Attic & demoing Uniko Studio stamps! I will share some pics of the day on the blog tomorrow with some demo projects!

Anyway, onto todays card ...

I really enjoyed making the flower on yesterdays card, using heat embossing the graphic flowers on October Afternoons ' Fly a Kite' paper and so I just had to make another! This time however I wanted the colours of the papers used for the flower to really POP off the card so I chose some neutral CS to use for my card.

I started off with a piece of PTI Smokey Shadow CS and stamped the clocking in card repeatedly using Fresh Snow ink until I had filled the panel. I then mounted this panel onto some Soft Stone CS & cut 4 squares of CS in the same colour.

I stamped the four different clock faces one on each square. On 2 I have used Memento London Fog & the other 2 I used Memento black. These squares are then adhered to the card using foam pads. I then added the flower & button for that POP of colour! I decided not to stamp a sentiment as the card has ALOT going on!

I hope you get to spend some "Time" crafting this weekend, and don't forget I'd LOVE to see what you create if you have bought Uniko Studio's Time or Extra Time stamp sets!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Paper Mix

TGI Friday!

Let the weekend begin! Well, it hasn't quite started yet as I have a day of work ahead but it's a good feeling!

Today I thought I'd share a card where I have used some yummy designer papers from October Afternoons 'Fly a Kite' collection as the main focus of the card but have used some Uniko Studio stamps with them for good measure! It shows how versatile these stamp designs really are!

For this card I chose 3 papers to use for my flower. I stamped & embossed each of the different sized flowers with detailed white EP, cut them out, layered them and secured them together with a brad. I then chose another paper from the collection to use as a mat layer and layered this with some Kraft CS.

I adhered this mat layer panel to the card base & then die cut a banner & stamped the sentiment using Memento Desert Sand ink. I stamped this in a light shade as I want it to be seen but not take the focus off the flower which is adhered using foam pads. Once the card was assembled I used my corner chomped to round off the base card corners to tie in with the curves of the flower.

Using the designer papers has given the Uniko Studio stamps a whole new dimension and has opened up a world of possibilities! I have decided I must use my papers more & not hoard them so much!!

I best get myself organised for my demo day tomorrow, I don't want to be leaving something vital behind! I'd love to see you if you live near The Stamp Attic!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Peeps Rocking Uniko Studio Stamps!

Warning! Long post you may want to grab a cuppa before you start reading! LOL!

Oh my, it's Wednesday! This week is zooming by, which is good as I'm looking forward to a weekend of friends, food & crafty time!

This weekend Kerry & I are headed down South to see our friend Wendy at The Stamp Attic. Along with spending time with Wendy enjoy cake & food we will also be both demoing in the shop in Saturday! Kerry will be working wonders with Copics and I will be showing people some fun stuff with Uniko Studio Time & Extra Time stamps!

Anyway, onto some eye candy! If you haven't checked this BLOG & this BLOG out before I highly recommend them! The first is The Stamp Attic Blog, Wendy has a FABULOUS design team who show an array of projects from CAS to grunge & all those in-between!

The second is Ruby's Blog, who is part of The Stamp Attic's DT. As The Stamp Attic is stocking Uniko Studio stamps Wendy passed some along to Ruby & just look ... such wonderful projects.

Hop on over to Ruby's Blog to find out the details of both of her cards.

Someone else is still enjoying & getting the most out of her Uniko Studio stamps & that is Gayatri!

Gayatri has paired Uniko Studio stamps with some other FAB supplies & you can check all the details about it over on her BLOG! I'm loving the mix & match of all the patterns plus I love the colour combo too!

There was one other fab thing about this & it the sketch, Gayatri gave the heads up about a NEW Sketch Challenge Blog that has just started. You can check it out HERE, it's called Retro Sketches. So I thought I'd have a play along too using some Uniko Studio stamps!

This is the sketch for the challenge ...

And this is my card ...

I started off by using PTI's Ric Rac Die to cut some scraps of Summer Sunrise, Hawaiian Shores & Raspberry Fizz CS. I adhered these to a mat layer of Soft Stone & White CS which is then adhered to the base layer using foam pads.

I then used my Sizzix Framelets Flower dies to cut the 3 smallest flowers. I then stamped the medium graphic flower on each flower using co-ordinating colours as the ric rac die cuts. I used a pearl brad to hold them all together & adhered to the mat layer using foam pads.

I used a SU! punch to punch out the sentiment once stamped & adhered this also to the mat layer using foam pads.

I love how you can achieve a whole new look just by using a few other crafty supplies such as dies & punches with your stamps to create a diverse range of projects!

Phew! Thats it from me today! I'll be back tomorrow though with another project! I hope that you have found some inspiration today!

Thanks for stopping by!

One Layer Wonder!

That weekend seemed to go by way too fast!

However, I did find some inky time during a weekend of relaxing & designing! Often when I'm chilling out or busy drawing & designing a card idea will pop into my head & this one is one of those cards!

It was inspired by a friends photo that she had posted to Facebook of a rainbow she had seen during her day. I just simply stamped the sentiment and then used all 3 graphic flowers and randomly stamped them in a rainbow of colours! I added a few raindrop gems and I was done!

Well, it's a busy week here in the Studio as I prepare for The Stamp Attic Demo Day on Saturday. I'm busy doing some more samples for the day which I will share on the day & afterwards for those who don't live close enough to stop by & say Hi! Don't worry I've still got stuff to share throughout the week too!

I've got lots of design ideas buzzing round my brain so it's back to work I go! Thanks for stopping by today!

Shades of Blue

I was in the mood to use my favourite colour today ... blue!

Whilst blog hopping I happened upon a card by Maile Bells on her post HERE. She had used the masking technique and it had me thinking I hadn't used this technique in a while.

So combining some shades of blue to stamp the pocket watch image from TIME and a little masking I came up with this get well card.

I love one layer cards as it makes posting them out super easy! I added a metal clip to the top right just for a little added interest but I wished I'd put it the other side now I look at the photo while I type! Oh well, next time!

Such a super simple & relatively quick card to make if you need a masculine get well card. The most time consuming part of the card is cutting the mask out, but the pocket watch is a reasonable size so it only took minutes! I used 3 inks from SU! Marina Mist, Pacific Point & Night of Navy and I love how they sit together.

This card could easily be suitable for a lady just by switching the colours for pinks or purples & adding a little loop of ribbon instead of the metal.

One more thing before I go to have my tea, did you see THIS over on The Stamp Attic Blog? Yes, I'm out and about again & this time I will be demoing Uniko Studio Stamps at The Stamp Attic on March 10th!

I'd LOVE to see you so pop on by if your in the area - there's other stuff too going on in the shop! Fun Huh!

Thanks for stopping by today!

You Make My Heart Tick!

Happy Valentines Day!

I thought I show you a lil 3x3 inch card I made for my guy for Valentines Day using the NEW Uniko Studio Stamps!

For this lil card I used the large cog image from the Time Set and stamped in on Basic Grey CS from Stampin' Up! using Basic Grey Ink. I then die cut a heart from Soft Stone CS (PTI) using the Sizzix Dies and stamped one of the clock faces from the Extra Time Set in Real Red ink. I used foam pads to adhere the heart to the card front. I then printed the 'You Make My Heart Tick!' sentiment from my computer and trimmed it into a banner shape. This is also mounted on to the base card using foam pads.

And there you have it a masculine valentines card!

I hope you all have a LOVE filled day!
