Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Christmas Tree Tuesday

Good morning,

Steph here with my Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration post. We are focusing on Christmas in July this month and I have specifically chosen Uniko stamps which include Christmas trees.

To start off I heat embossed the Uniko Background Blocks Arts Decoratifs Christmas stamp. I then used a craft knife to cut some apertures behind which I laid different colours of tissue paper. The idea being that the light could shine through the tissue paper like a stained glass window.

For my next card I used Uniko Rustic Christmas stamp set and created a 'forest' using different colour inks before decorating my main tree with fussy cut small elements from the stamp set.

And finally a super quick card made using the outline tree from the Uniko Christmas Pop stamp set and coloured using alcohol markers. I then teamed this with a sentiment from the Uniko Christmas Wishes set.

It's never too early to start your Christmas cards! And hopefully there is a style here to suit most tastes.

Much love

12 Days Of Christmas Giveaways - Day 1 Christmas Linky Party 🎄

Happy Wonderful Wednesday.

Yesterday we kicked of Christmas in July with Uniko.

A whole month of inspiration using current Uniko Christmas AND non-Christmas products used in Chrismassy ways. 12 Days of Giveaways AND a New Release at the end of the month!

Julie started us off with inspiration using the popular Background Builders Christmas 2018 clear stamp set HERE, be sure to check the inspiration.

Today I am here with the first of twelve giveaways and inspiration using this week's Card Of The Week product, Season Of Beauty

Let's start with the inspiration.

It seemed only right that this modern layering Poinsettia styled flower got the Kristina Werner A2 Thin Frame Die treatment!

Yes, I am still obsessed with this die and I simply love it die cut in black against a white background. For the flowers I used Honeysuckle, Poppy and Cranberry ink and the leaves I used Evergreen.

For my second card I opted to use the foliage from the set, it's my favourite foliage. I also decided to make my card a little rustic looking.

My simple way of making it a little more rustic was to use a leftover piece of Papertrey Ink Rustic Cream card.

I stamped the sentiment first so I could arrange the foliage to frame it on the diagonal. I used Evergreen and Parsely ink and both sizes of the foliage from the stamp set. I finally added some Cranberry 'berry' dots, which is actually the stamp used for the centre of the flower.

Okay, so now I thought I would make the 12 Days Of Christmas Giveaways - Day 1 a Christmas Linky Party 🎄

Christmas in July - Brand Ambassador Inspiration with Background Builders Christmas 2018

Afternoon, Julie here with the first of many posts celebrating Christmas in July with Uniko!

Over at Color Hues their new colour combo is red and white, so I thought I would use that to spark an idea using Background Builders Christmas 2018, some red card and white heat embossing. Here's what I came up with.

I've used this set a couple of times to make 'jumper' style cards as the patterns always remind me of Christmas sweaters! There are a few strips which you could combine to make a pattern but I stuck with just two.
For this card, I simply stamped and embossed three of the stylised snowflake strip onto an A6 panel of red card and bookmarked it with the hatched lined stamp strip. A simple partial circle die cut out of the red panel followed by a die cut welt made from two stacked circle dies, suggests a neckline. The red panel was then trimmed to leave a border when attached with glue to my A6 white base card.  A simple white heat embossed sentiment from Christmas Sentiments completes, a very simple card in the end.

Here are a couple more ideas along the same lines from a few years ago.

This uses a zipper die set from MFT and the tags below are simply strips of card with fussy cut collars, die cut circles, butchers twine, a couple of buttons and some ribbon bows!

So that's all from me today but don't forget to look out for more Christmas inspiration to kick start your Christmas stash from the BAs as well as a new release later in the month.

So for the moment I'll say bye and happy crafting!

Brand Ambassador Inspiration: Stencil Christmas Cards

  Hello everyone!

Happy Saturday!

Vinita here with some Christmas in July inspiration cards. I have fun making samples with MOD Background Builder Circles. I really like how they turned out!

Card 1

I created a stencilled panel in the festive Christmas colors using Distress inks lumberjack plaid and cracked pistachio by masking the stencil.

I added the panel to a red color card stock and adhered that panel to my white card base. The sentiment is from the Most Wonderful stamp set. The addition of red pearls enhances the beauty of this card, isn't it!

Card 2

I came up with an idea for a type of pinwheel flower using it somewhere. How would it work initially? The end result is here.

What do you think? Pretty funky Christmas card in rainbow colors! The colors of the pinwheel flowers and the background is created using the Distress inks pine needles, mowed lawn, crackling campfire, carved pumpkin, uncharted mariner, chipped sapphire, picked raspberry, and wilted violet.

The sentiment is from the Season of the Beauty stamp set. The colored rhinestones are added to the center of the flowers.

Go and make some funky pinwheel flowers for yourself. The MOD background Builder Circles is such a fun and versatile stencil, you definitely go for it!

Thanks for visiting today!

Happy crafting!

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Christmas in July

Good morning,

As it’s July, I’ve chosen to go with the Christmas in July theme for my Uniko Brand Ambassador inspiration. Uniko has lots of wonderful Christmas stamps and stencils (matching die sets available too!).

For my cards I have focussed on the Uniko Let It Snow stencil.

For my first card I have used Versamark ink through the stencil and heat embossed in white embossing powder, directly onto the Kraft card base. I then die cut a smaller rectangular piece of white card and used the inner word die from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow die set to cut the word snow towards the bottom of the panel. I used a separate piece of white card to stamp and heat emboss the snowflakes and 'let it' sentiment all from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow stamp set.

For this card, I started with a panel of white card and used glitter paste to create a fabulous background (so sparkly!). On a smaller piece of white card I heat embossed the sentiment and snow swirls from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow stamp set.

My final card uses a 'smooshed' background created using Picked Raspberry and Broken China Distress Oxide inks. Once dry I used Versamark ink through the stencil and heat embossed in white. On a spare piece of smooshed card I die cut the inner word die from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow die set and white heat embossed the smallest snowflakes from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow stamp set. I die cut the inner word from white card two more times and adhered them behind the smooshed one to create dimension. I adhered this to the outer word die cut from white pearl card, before adhering directly to the card front. Finally I added the rest of the sentiment from the Uniko Big & Bold stamp set, stamping this in Pickled Raspberry ink.

Which one catches your eye?

Much love

Stencil Sunday - Flower Power #1 Festive Style!

Happy Sunday!

It's been a while since I did a Stencil Sunday post and I've been meaning to ink up the Stencil - Flower Power #1 for a while, so that's just what I did. And of course, I made it festive.

I usually go for a white background, but decided to 'soften' the look of this card with a Kraft card base instead. For the inking of the stencil I used Poppy, Cranberry and Mushroom and the sentiment is stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed in white.

For the centre of my modern poinsettia flower I used a trio of larger dots from an upcoming clear stamp set and I finished off my card with Black Gloss Nuvo Drops.

I hope you are having a lovely weekend.

Festive Floral Friday - Modern Poinsettia Wreath

Hello & Happy Friday.

It's the first day of the school holidays and it is pretty much a washout! The Beans have been quite happy playing gadgets and generally enjoying some downtime. So I have taken the opportunity to be in the studio and getting creative. I've all the upcoming release on my desk, so there is a bit of creative chaos happening.

Anyway, I've been wanting to create another modern poinsettia card for a while and as my wreath builder stencil was out in my MISTI, I got to stamping one using the solid flower from Flower Power #1.

Once I stamped all the flowers, alternating between Poppy and Cranberry inks from Concord & 9th, I added a trio of dots using a little cluster from Originally Organic Additions. The filled the centre of the dots using a black fine liner. Lastly, you know I love a bit of fussy cutting, so cut the wreath out!

With all these new goodies in reach, I couldn't resist adding a sentiment and bow embellishment from one of the stamp sets. It was a perfect match made in heaven 😉

It's almost time for swimming lessons and if this rain continues at this rate, we will be swimming to the swimming lessons!

Christmas in July - Wintery Wednesday

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I'm continuing with Christmas in July and today I have a colourful winter card to share with you. Stunning Snowflakes still to this day remains a firm favourite of mine, even after 10 years. This is another Uniko clear stamp set that remains timeless and ever popular. Though it is a clear stamp set I feel I have neglected, so it was time to give it some fresh inky love!

And because I couldn't decide on a colour, I opted for rainbow! Not quite the full rainbow, but some cheerful colour choices. The day started off sunny here in the North East, but it is now back to raining and quite a dark afternoon. So this certainly adds some colourful cheer.

Only one more day before school is out for summer, so I am making the most of my 'quiet' time in the studio! Lots of festive creativity in progress and I am getting so excited to share the NEW release with you, luckily not long to wait!

Merry Monday - Winter Foliage

Hello & Happy Monday!

Today I was inspired to create a card using the Stencil - Winter Foliage paired with some of the Winter Foliage clear stamps.

I started with the stencil and used a small blending brush from Waffle Flower (shader 0) to colour each of the different elements in the stencil design. I then cleaned my stencil and placed it back over, using Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste to add the beautiful sparkle.

I then embellished the card with a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks Christmas and the holly leaf & berry cluster from Winter Foliage, using the coordinating Designer Dies Winter Foliage to cut them out. Both the sentiment and holly cluster are adhered to the card using foam tape.

That's all from me today, it's back to sorting stock from being in Doncaster on Saturday and preparing lovely samples for the up coming release 😊 Plus all the things I feel I *need* to get done before school is out for summer after Thursday!
