You Are...

Hey!

Many of my friends know that I am easily addicted to things and can get quite obsessed with them! Pinterest is ONE of my many addictions and I fit it into my daily morning routine, I check my emails, check the news, see what the latest is on Facebook, check the weather and then I go to Pinterest to be inspired.

I have pinned lots and lots of things on Pinterest which inspire me, things I like the design or pattern of, the colour combo of and cards that I love and inspire me. Now and then, when I'm stuck for inspiration I will check out the Cards I Love to help me create something and very occasionally I will look at my other boards for inspiration.

I decided yesterday whilst pondering on what to create that I should use my Pinterest pins more, basically putting the time I spend looking at lovely things into action! My aim is to create at least now project a week inspired by something I have pinned that week and share it with you all on a Sunday.

So, lets see what pin I was inspired to create from this week...

The reason I pinned this image, was because of the bold turquoise lettering against the kraft card. It stood out to me and I knew it would be fun to recreate this look with die cut letters. So I looked at my supplies and Uniko Studio stamps and this is what I created...

On this first card I used the 'Awesome' sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #2 which I stamped in black along the bottom edge of a 10 cm square of Crumb Cake CS. I then die cut the 'You Are'  from Hawaiian Shores CS scraps using the Memory Box Typewriter Upper Alphabet Set. After gluing those in place I swiped my SU! Baked Brown Sugar ink pad around the edges and when dry adhered the panel to a SU! Garden Green 12 cm square card base. As it was such a quick creation I decided to make another one...

This time I used the 'Fabulous' sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #3 and mounted the panel onto a Raspberry Fizz 12 cm square card base.

You can follow me on Pinterest by going HERE or you can follow the link on the right hand sidebar. I hope I've inspired you today, even if you are not on Pinterest you can find inspiration like this from all sorts of places, like the supermarket or magazines to name a couple.

That's all from me today, enjoy your day & until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by :)

Background Builders: Christmas Day 4

Hey!

I hope you are enjoying this week inspiration using Background Builders: Christmas as much as I am?! I've another card to share today using the set, but this time it's a not a Christmas card...

This time I have created a card which could be used for a variety of occasions and even though it features a little bit of pink it could also be a masculine card. I used the current Freshly Made Sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card.

I used 3 of the building strips contained in the set, the solid and outline stars and the holly berries. The trio of stars are from Label Love: Christmas and the sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #2.

If you missed out on day 1, 2 & 3 of Background Builders: Christmas you can catch up HERE, HERE and HERE. You've still time to comment on the November Design Team Blog Hop too, I will be announcing the winner tomorrow.

Be sure to check out our Guest Designers Blog N@Ali HERE for more inspiration using the October Release goodies :)

That's all from me today, I've a poorly car to take to the garage this afternoon - oh the joys! Thank you for stopping by today :)

Runway Inspired

Hey!

Happy Friday :) It's good that the weekend is here as I do love spending time with my hunny & I do miss him during the week between 9 and 5. Only 7 days now till we leave for the US and I can safely say that I'm almost set to go and getting rather over excited - Ha!

Anyway, back to todays card...

It's been a while since I joined in with the Runway Inspired Challenge & I often seek inspiration from fashion and interiors when I'm designing. So when I saw the current challenge HERE and seen below, I had to play along and made the card seen above.

I've definitely had a 'thing' for the flower cluster stamp from Flower Power #1 this week! I was draw to the colours and overlapping floral design which helped with the choosing of the stamp and also the white strip down the middle of the dress with the elongated black triangle. Instead of it going straight I decided to put it on an angle on my card for a bit of interest and also to stamp the sentiment.

I masked the star off whilst inking my sentiment and removing the mask prior to stamping as I wanted to replace it with a fussy cut out flower. I used the elongated arrow from Accent Essentials: Arrows to direct the focus to the sentiment and replicate the elongated arrow seen on the dress.

Overall I'm really quite happy with how this card turned out. It has a lot less white space than my usual creations but it's still quite CAS. It's good to step out of the comfy zone now and then, don't you think?

That's all from me today, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share & it is also Super FREE Saturday tomorrow so be sure to stop by to see what little FREEBIE I have in store for you this month! Don't forget there is still plenty of time to join in on the Uniko Studio Challenge #2, I'd love to see you play along with us :)

Introducing... Background Builders: Chevrons

Hey!

I'm back today to share the next June Release product introduction... Background Builders: Chevrons. Chevrons have been trending for a while and I've wanted a chevron set for some time now so that's how this set came about!

I've a couple of projects to share using this new set...

A bright & cheery AWESOME card :) I've used 3 chevron stamps on this  card to create the multicoloured stamped background.

I started out by masking off a section on the white mat layer using some low tack masking tape, where I wanted the sentiment to be. I then inked and stamped each of the individual chevron strips to create the background, it was super easy and quick and I love how it turned out :) I then used a fine liner to draw in the lines, stamped the sentiment and highlighted the star with a yellow Copic marker.

I've one more card to share today using Background Builders: Chevrons that could easily be mass-produced...

For this card I simply stamped a white panel of CS with another of the chevron stamps and then die cut with a circle die before adhering to the base card using foam adhesive. The sentiment is from Label Love: Birthday and I added a few purple rhinestones to add a little something.

Taheerah has a card to share using today's set too, so be sure to stop on by and give her some love :)

Don't forget there are mystery prizes up for grabs that will be announced HERE on the blog on June 11th. There are lots of ways to win, by commenting on the blog or a DT member blog during the countdown to release, FacebookTwitter and Pinterest

Introducing...All Occasion Sentiments #2

Hey!

What a FABulous week it's been so far & it's only Wednesday! Did you enjoy yesterday's product introduction? If you missed it you can catch up on it HERE and HERE. Don't forget there are mystery prizes up for grabs that will be announced HERE on the blog on June 11th. There are lots of ways to win, by commenting on the blog or a DT member blog during the countdown to release, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest

OK, back to what we're all here for another product introduction! Today, I get to introduce you to the next All Occasion Sentiments stamp set, a mini set which packs a punch again with some super sized sentiments...

This first card was inspired by the NEW Runway Inspired Challenge HERE and seen below. I'd had a similar card in mind before I saw the challenge, but as soon as I saw the inspiration photo this card was practically finished!

The result a clean & simple, graphic masculine card that gets straight to the point!

My next card is one for the girls and has a little more fuss about it...

On this card you get a little peek a Flower Power #2, which will be formally introduced later in the lead up to release!

I started out by stamping the sentiment, which comes as 2 separate stamps onto Pool Party CS. I decided to stamp the 'HAPPY' in Hawaiian Shores to add a little more interest and to limit the amount of black. The flower is stamped in Pool Party ink first and then VersaMark and heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer EP. I added a few aqua rhinestones to 3 of the white flower centres for that added bling!

I've one last card to share today using one of the other sentiments contained in the set. For this card I used the CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE, and I decided to play along with the NEW 'Less is More' challenge HERE which is to use the colour of your front door. My front door is a regular UPVC white door with a silver letter box...

So, I went with a white and silver colour combo to create this card...

I used silver pigment ink to stamp the 'Awesome' and heat embossed with stardust EP for that added sparkle. I then just stamped, embossed and fussy cut the star out to overlay the one in the sentiment. I used a Washi ribbon from Wonderful Washi Christmas, again stamped in silver and embossed with stardust EP.

I'd LOVE to know what you think of todays introduction :) A couple of design team members are introducing with me today too, so be sure to stop by Aimes' BLOG and Taheerah's BLOG to see how they've used All Occasion Sentiments #2.

We also have a FABulos guest designer joining us this month for release, who I am sure is a FAN of many a crafter and not just me!

So without further ado I would like to welcome Jen Nelson as Guest Designer, welcome Jen :) I can't wait to see how Jen has used the NEW soon to be released Uniko Studio products and we don't have to wait too long as Jen has a card today too introducing todays set.

Be sure to stop on by Jen's Blog The Tiny Blue Butterfly to see how she has used All Occasion Sentiments #2.

I'll be back tomorrow with the next product introduction, until then thank you for stopping by & have a lovely day.
