Sew, Sew, Sew...

I got a new sewing machine a month or so ago and have been able to make some really fun things lately!  Thanks to some great websites and a talented sister-in-law I've gone from not knowing how to back stitch, to loving sitting in front of my sewing machine all day!  Oh and I included the links to where I found each of these projects, if I can do them anyone can!!!!

My first solo project, a fun little sewing bag to keep various sewing odds and ends in...

Then came a whole bunch of cute little baby shoes...probably my favorite thing I've made so far :)

My very first pair, for my good friend Melanie's baby girl who's due March 26th...

My next pair, for some future baby Ty and I may have some day :)

Probably my favorite pair yet, for my friend Vanessa's baby girl Chloe...

My first little boy pair...coincidentally matching my outfit :)

My next little boy pair that I made for my baby friend Maddix...if only he'd still been a newborne.  I'm working on making him some bigger ones that might actually fit!

I just finished making this cute reversible bag for my niece Syd's upcoming birthday...Hannah Montana and Camp Rock :)

I altered the size from the suggested to make it smaller for a little girl...and because of the fabric I used on one side the characters are upside down.  Hopefully Syd won't mind too much...

Hopefully I'll have some more fun projects to post soon!

Valentine's Day 2009

This is my husband: Tyler.  Tyler HATES Valentine's Day.  Luckily for me, he knows I love it and still gave me something AMAZING! I couldn't resist sharing it, so once again, click here and make sure the volumes up!
And don't worry, it's not all sappy love stuff, it's actually really funny too...especially when you know that Ty is both sides of the interview :)

Summer 2009 Destination!

Everyone has been really excited to find out where we are going for this summer, so Ty did something fun to tell them.

Sundancin...

We got to go to a cabin up at Sundance over the weekend with all of Eric's region.  It turned out really fun, despite starting out disastrous when they closed the canyon and the road up to Sundance after there were two avalanches over the road.  Everyone eventually made it up, and only one truck got stuck in the snow in the process :)  I forgot to take many pictures, but we played some really fun games, and had a lot of fun...

This was probably the most memorable thing of the night, a tradition that Ty started last summer in Pittsburgh.  You can't really tell in this picture but his pockets are BULGING :)

It's amazing how much fun boys have when money is being thrown from the balcony...

Luckily we were able to clear all of the kids out so there were no injuries...

These are pretty much the only other pictures I took at the cabin.  Jess and me in our unplanned matching shirts...and just a candid :)

Despite not taking very many pictures, we had a great time.  Thanks to Eric, Nat & Maddix--and to Ty and the entire party planning committee :)

Three Years...

Our wedding day, February 3, 2006
So today is our Anniversary, we've officially been married for three years!  Ty has to train tonight, so we went up to Salt Lake last night and had an awesome dinner at the Roof, and then stayed at the Hotel Monaco...we had a lot of fun, and were very happy, though not surprised, to find out we're still very much in love after ALL these years :)

I was trying to get the roses Ty gave me in this picture...just before we left for Salt Lake

The Roof.  You better believe they let us keep the Happy Anniversary card!

So I can't pass up this opportunity to reminisce...Ty and I first met at Brighton on Halloween day in 2004, and I fell in love with him amidst many more trips to the mountain!

At the Canyons, right after we started dating at the very beginning of 2005

The Canyons the next year, after we were engaged at the end of 2005

Our honeymoon to Whistler, Canada.  February, 2006

Still at the mountain together.  At Park City last week...
We've enjoyed a whole lot of snow together, which is ironic since Ty hates the snow :).  We've had an awesome three years, and I can't wait for the many more to come!  Love you Ty...
