The Twisted Twins Return to the Rue Morgue Podcast

"Jen & Sylvia Soska a.k.a. The Twisted Twins dropped into Toronto recently for the Sinister Cinema screening of their latest feature American Mary and to promote the film’s upcoming home video release.
I caught up with them at Nocturne at 550 Queen Street West to conduct another full scale interrogation.

Generally speaking, interviewing the Soska Sisters is a piece of cake. You just press record, stand back and duck for cover before they EXPLODE!"

Listen to Part One HERE!

"It’s the death defying conclusion of our interview with Jen & Sylvia Soska a.k.a. The Twisted Twins."

Horror Etc Talks The New Flesh

"Things kick off with David’s son Brandon Cronenberg’s Antiviral which takes the concept of body horror and carries on his father’s tradition. Next up is American Mary, the Soska sister’s follow up to their impressive debut Dead Hooker in a Trunk, which follows a promising med-school student’s descent into the dark world of underground surgery. Finally, we discuss Excision, a highly touted 2012 directorial debut that mirrors Lucky McKee’s May (2002) in many ways. All three movies worked for us and we hope you find something to like as well."

Chris and Phil Present Their Thoughts on American Mary!

"The Kiplings are on holiday as Chris and Phil keep warm under the duvet and embrace American Mary. Phil finds a tiger on a lifeboat, takes no nonsense from Jack Reacher and reviews two Sons, whilst Chris gets stenched by Beyonce, unlocks Charlie and saves the best film of the year until last. I’m guessing there’s no piss drinking in it?"

Chris and Phil Present a Rad Time at Fright Fest the 13th

"Craig and Mike break their FrightFest cherries working for FrightFest TV. Here’s a behind the scenes look at what went on featuring contributions from Chris, Phil, Stuart Barr, Steve Blackwell and the inimitable Billy Chainsaw as well as a few directors and film makers who clearly didn’t know what a shambles this podcast truly is."

I love the English. I just fucking adore their dry amazing wit and the way they describe anything. Seriously, I can go through the same situation and would much rather have a Brit recount everything to me because it's just that much better.

Missed Film4 Fright Fest the 13th? Get the best recounting of your life with Chris and Phil Present with the incredible Billy Chainsaw, Stuart Barr, and Steve Blackwell as well as words and chat from the filmmakers of the fest! Treat your ears by clicking right here.

I think the tight schedule part is adorable.

Geekeasy Podcast with Dr. Karen Oughton & Adam Stephen Kelly

Jen and I the very distinct pleasure of having a very honest conversation with the utterly wonderful and amazing Dr. Karen Oughton and Adam Stephen Kelly where we get into the real life experiences that brought the story of Mary to life and the process the team went through to make the story as honest and relatable as possible.

Way Out Films reviews DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK

WAY OUT FILMS is fucking rad. Founded by Lucas Stiverson in Virginia Beach in early 2012, Lucas started this company in order to have total creative control over his film projects as he feels that the artist deserves that freedom. He is now working on the first full length film under the Way Out Films banner, and hopes to acquire more talented independent artists in the future to help spread their art.

I couldn't commend the man more. Art belongs in the hands of the artists. Recently even one mister Clive Barker said that he wants to make his own work independently to ensure that it is his vision that ends up on the screen. Times are a changin', boys and grrls.

Just recently, Lucas was rad enough to review our first born baby, DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK

LISTEN HERE!!

A massive thank you to Lucas and WAY OUT FILMS for taking the time to check out DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK and for the pimping. As everyone knows, hookers, dead or alive, do benefit from a good ole fashioned pimping ;)

Fatally Yours,
Jen

Mike and Ike awesomefest with Jen and Sylvia Soska and CJ Wallis

Mike and Ike are fucking hilarious. Who are these outstanding gents? Comics/entertainment critics/film makers/stoners with a small but dedicated world wide, and very smart, fan base.

We have LOVED what these guys do for a long time and had the esteemed pleasure of sitting down and chatting for a good ole fashioned chat fest about all things under the sun. Of COURSE we chatted about our DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK and our new baby, AMERICAN MARY. And what else?

Punching a bear in the face.

A Serbian Film and "newborn porn".

The Human Centipede.

What it was like watching DHIAT in a theater for the first time.

Our retirement from acting after our final appearance in AMERICAN MARY.

Strip clubs.

Baseball bats and disembodied eye balls.

Evil Dead: The Musical and the splatter zone.

Mike and Ike share a bowl and a smile with Jen and Sylvia Soska, the writers/directors/stars of the cult hit film DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK, as well as CJ Wallis, the only major Y chromosome in the cast as well as tech guy extraordinaire. Things are discussed, secrets are revealed, passions are ignited, grapes are fermented, herbs are smoked.

Here's the link, please enjoy the most incredible inane banter every uttered ;)

Click HERE and grab a beer (or ten)!

And believe you me, you'll want to follow these fellas on Twitter RIGHT HERE. We tweet up a storm with these gents and YOU (yes, you!) could be a part of it.

We cannot wait to chat with these gents again. Enjoy the radstorm.

Dead Hooker - The Musical Review!

People say we're funny. People say we suck. We're fine with both. We are the officially acknowledged unofficial spokeswhores for Evil Dead-The Musical (THE GREATEST PIECE OF ENTERTAINMENT IN THE HISTORY OF HISTORY PERIOD). We make comedy videos and short horror films. We have a podcast. We write things. We have a rapidly growing fan base that is scattered all over the world (Really) - Mike and Ike

Who are Mike and Ike? Delicious bite-sized candy. Yes and no. In this situation, they are a deliciously informed, horror film making, podcast rocking duo who realize the bloody brilliance of the EVIL DEAD Musical. They are also funny as fuck.

We have been bestowed the huge honor of a musical review on DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK by these lovely gentlemen and we couldn't be happier. That's right, girls and boys, a mother fucking musical review. Fucking, eh!

Don't take my word for it, treat your ears to the musical awesomeness below...

Dead Hooker song by Twisted Twins Productions

Just Another F*cking Movie Podcast is F*cking Awesome

From the very first moment that we heard the title, we were hooked.

Just Another F*cking Movie Podcast? Clearly the creators of the title Dead Hooker In A Trunk had found a kindred spirit.

We were absolutely delighted to both chit and chat with Steven Thompson of JAFMP.com and it's not only because he himself has a couple of little twins himself or because he has the ability to hook this twisted twosome up with authentic moonshine. Well, those little tidbits certainly DID make a difference.

The result? A not just another f*cking interview ;)

We talked about our DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK, our upcoming AMERICAN MARY, the controversy we stirred in Saskatoon, and our plans for world domination, among many other things.

Please feast on the full juicy interview HERE.

And while you're at it, check out the Just Another F*cking Movie archives for some fantastic shows, interviews, and reviews. There's some damn good shit on there.

Bloody Best!
