Please Subscribe Completed and Already Off to the Festival Circuit

Early yesterday morning, we drove out to the airport to drop a finished copy of "Please Subscribe" to a delivery depot that would fly it overseas for its first go at the festival circuit.

It's really weird after everything is done after a film is completed. It's an odd calm. This was one of the best experiences I have had making a film, and my first time working on a non-fictional piece. The talent, David Choi, Happy Slip, Tay Zonday, and Daxflame, that we had the pleasure of following, and filming are some of the most genuinely kind and interesting people ever. The collaboration between the Twisted Twins and FortyFPS Productions was a lot of fun, in particular because this was the first feature the three of us, CJ Wallis, Jen and me, had worked on together since "Dead Hooker in a Trunk".

Once we have our future plans with "Please Subscribe" underway we will be posting more for you, girls and boys, but until then, the film is done! Wo-hoo!

New BTS photos have been added to Flickr, so check it out for a boo or two!

DHIAT to show at the DOA Pretty Scary Blood Bath Film Fest

Dead Hooker In A Trunk has been selected to show at the Pretty Scary Blood Bath Film Festival, a celebration of women and horror in honor of Women In Horror recognition month.

In response to Hannah Neurotica’s call for the “Women in Horror Recognition Month” in February of 2010, (http://www.womeninhorrormonth.com) DOA Blood Bath Entertainment will hold The Pretty Scary Blood Bath Film Festival the 27th of February, 2010 from 11 AM to 6 PM at the Studio Movie Grill in Addison, Texas. DOA Blood Bath Entertainment is also proud to announce the sponsorship and support of Heidi Martinuzzi of Pretty/Scary.net (http://pretty-scary.net), the web community of women of horror, by women of horror.

The Pretty Scary Blood Bath Film Festival will showcase a selection of independent feature and short horror films that have been written and directed by women. These films are to be selected by Dione and Andrew Rose and announced in January of 2010.

Eve Blaack, owner and editor-in-chief of Hacker’s Source, the guide to independent horror, (http://www.eveblaackpub.com), will serve as the Pretty Scary Blood Bath Film Festival’s Mistress of Ceremonies. Eve Blaack, as a woman in horror, truly appreciates independent horror cinema and has spent countless hours and dollars promoting independent film through the publication of her magazine; The Hacker’s Source.

We are honored to have DHIAT show in a festival that celebrates Women In Horror and want to take this opportunity to thank Andrew and Dione Rose, Heidi Martinuzzi, and, of course, Hannah Neurotica for making this celebration happen.

Your Friendly Neighbourhood Twisted Twins,
~Jen and Sylv
