Rat's Off To You, Ratty

A good friend, artist, and horror writer extraordinaire, Joel 'Ratman' Wells - and the gent who started the movement to bring DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK to Australia which our good friends at Bounty Films and A Night Of Horror International Film Fest were happy to oblige him and the citizens of Sydney this past April 1st - drew this beautiful sketch of myself, Jen, Hannah Neurotica, and Kristy Jett. In the world of horror, to quote Forrest Gump - us and these girls are like peas and carrots. We get to meet this summer on set, but this is the closest we've ever been to being together.


Thank you for the beautiful art, Ratty. Thank you for appreciating a dead hooker and bringing her to a new continent. I love this pic so much. You rock, sir.

This Is What A Hooker Fan Looks Like

'Dead Hooker in a Trunk' or any film - indie or studio - would be absolutely nothing without fans. With the word 'fan', I am referencing the blood and heart that gives life to a film. It crosses countries, it fills the viral world, it makes a film soar.

We can never thank you enough for telling your friends, blogging, and passing on the Hooker good word. What we can do is promise you that we will always appreciate you and never take you for granted. That is why when we see an awesome shout out for Hooker, we shout right back. Here are a couple of pics of the Hooker hardcores. You rock!

I woke up this morning with a text from one of my favorite people in the known universe. My beloved sister, Hannah Neurotica. Now if you don't know Hannah from Ax Wound by now, I'm afraid there may be no hope for you. Ax Wound is the defining voice for women in horror chalk full of brilliance and blood. Go grab yourselves a few back issues and bask in the grindhouse gory glory.

Anywho (I can go on tangents that would leave Holden Caulfield's head spinning), I was instructed to check out facebook. Do not pass go or in this case do not feed my cat that is desperately attempting to win my attention, proceed directly to facebook. I logged on and was blown away, just floored, by Miki Hickel's incredible artwork of Geek from Dead Hooker In A Trunk.

It is beautiful, just take a peak up at it.
