WiH Massive Blood Drive PSA 2014!!!

HERE IT IS, BOYS AND GRRLS!!! Our 2014 Collaborative Women In Horror Recognition Month Massive Blood Drive PSA with Patricia Chica Filmmaker, Actress Jessica Cameron, Hannah Neurotica, Isabel Peppard, Maude Michaud, and Your Friendly Neighborhood Twisted Twins, me and my doppelganger, Sylvia Soska.

Every Women In Horror Recognition month, we encourage everyone across the world to donate blood for the WiHM Massive Blood Drive. You can't think horror without thinking blood and the main reason most people don't donate is because they're afraid of needles. It's time to be brave, roll up your sleeves, and give. You can donate everywhere and anywhere. Send in your photos and do a truly selfless act. After all, it's in you to give.

PLEASE share and enjoy. We wanna see pics of you donating and your own PSAs!

2010 Was A Mother F*cker

With the countdown quickly approaching, we look back fondly at 2010. It's was a BIG, f'n year. So, grab yourself a shot of Jack and settle down for an epic recap...

We began 2010 the way we ended 2009, filming our second feature film with CJ Wallis, PLEASE SUBSCRIBE. The film is a documentary that follows Youtube sensations Tay Zonday, David Choi, Happyslip, and Daxflame and explores the impact of viral videos through the eyes of some of Youtube's most subscribed and recognizable personalities.

In January, we traveled to Los Angeles to meet up with Tay Zonday, Happyslip, and David Choi and wrapped filming on the project. The film will be hitting festivals in 2011. Enjoy the OFFICIAL TRAILER below for a sneak preview of PLEASE SUBSCRIBE.

On a very sad note, our dear friend, Hannah Neurotica, lost her father, Michael, to scleroderma on January 19th, 2010. We lost a very talented writer and horror fanatic that day. We had the privilege of knowing him briefly and know he will be missed by all those who's lives he touched.

Being the definition of strength reflected by the Women of Horror, Hannah went on to create and launch the very first WOMEN IN HORROR RECOGNITION month that February. It was the first of a now world wide phenomenon where celebrations occur in every dark corner celebrating and recognizing the great Women of Horror.

We were honored to pay tribute to this incredible event and created the WiH MASSIVE BLOOD DRIVE, a world wide event running all February long. How do you take part? Easy. Just give blood. Wherever you are, anytime, all month long, and tell 'em you're bleeding for Women In Horror. The event was a great success last year and we will continuing the tradition this year as we will continue to do forever. We will be releasing a NEW Blood Drive ad that is not to be missed and most likely be rejected by Blood Services much like last year's ad, seen below... *insert evil laughter*

2010 and WiH month also commenced the festival run of DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK. The very first festivals to show the film were two festivals in honor of WiH month, THE GHOULS ON FILM FESTIVAL and THE DOA PRETTY SCARY BLOOD BATH FILM FESTIVAL. We are blown away to be able to say that the film has been everywhere, from LA to the UK, Brazil, Vegas, Texas, Vancouver.... just to name a few. It's been one HELL of a year for DEAD HOOKER and we truly want to thank each and everyone of you for supporting us and our demented little film. Thank you to everyone who watched the film, bought a ticket, attended a festival, told a friend, wrote a blog, did an interview, reviewed the film, and told us about it! We can't begin to thank you enough for backing us. We wouldn't be where we are without you. Thank you from the bottoms of our twisted little hearts.

Now here's a little tune for your mind grapes while we go over the festivals, awards, and achievements for DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK...

Horror Makes Me Feel Strong

When my sister and I were little girls, we stood out because we are identical twins. It's unusual and the unusual attracts attention. As we got older, we developed a deep love for horror. That fueled the perception of our strangeness. Fitting in as a young person is difficult in anyone's life - we made it through, unscathed, if not for being spat on and called witches a few times.

We had resigned to the thought that we were odd girls and that that would make us somewhat outcast from the general public. I hadn't been introduced to the horror community yet. Hannah Neurotica's genius idea - Women In Horror Recognition Month - changed that loneliness into a realization of comradity through the event. You may not know this, but the horror community consists of the best people on the planet.

The second annual WiH Month is fast approaching - this February - and is coming strong. Everyone is invited to play. You can screen your projects at different WiH film festivals, you can make a poster to raise awareness, you can make any type of art to promote and celebrate what women in horror has meant to you, you can even bleed. Twisted Twins Production will be having our second annual Massive Blood Drive this February and we want you to be a part of it.

Everyone is getting pretty excited about Women in Horror Month. Want in? Good, because we want you involved too! Start getting excited and make some plans - let's make this event huge.

Tomorrow kicks off the first day of the very first annual Women in Horror Month. Ah yes, the month to celebrate our favorite ladies in our favorite genre. And what better way to kick it off than to have a massive blood drive?

Tomorrow, the Twisted Twins along with some very fearless and generous girlfriends will bleed for Women in Horror. The festivities will be captured by the lovely CJ Wallis of FortyFPS Productions so you can all experience the blood letting with us.

Then tune into Horror News Radio with the fabulous founder of Women in Horror Month, Hannah Neurotica where the Twisted Twins will talk with Hannah live for the first time!

So, what about you, girls and boys? What are you doing to celebrate WiH month? Send us your pictures, videos, and stories. Tell your twins!

Bleeding for Women In Horror Month

This coming February has been designated as the first ever Women In Horror Recognition Month. It shall be the first of many.

As we all know, women are an important part of film in all genres and the horror film industry is no exception. Yes, women do get a lot of recognition for the good they do and the legacies they leave behind, but Women In Horror have yet to be recognized in a manner such as this. And we're not just talking about the busty B movie bombshells that get covered in blood and gore while fighting passionately against the forces of darkness. The true legends...

What would Alien films have been without the talented miss Ripley? Who could scare the living crap out of grown men as easily as the possessed Regan in Exorcist? Or what about the brilliant female director, Mary Harron, who put herself on the front lines to take on an enraged group of feminists and bring us American Psycho?

And where does the blood come in? Well, you can't think "horror" without thinking of blood and guts and since we're quite attached to our vital organs, we Twisted Twins got to thinking about how we can give back in a way that honors Women in Horror and has a massive impact on the world. The answer seemed simple. Blood. After all, it's in you to give.

So, this February, we're inviting you to come along with us to bleed for Women in Horror. It's an incredibly good cause and something that many of us find off putting and terrifying. Time to face our fears and help out those who need us. Time to be fearless like the badass bitches we've come to love and idolize.

So, who can give?

You CANNOT donate if...
*You have traveled outside of the Canada and US, some countries are okay, but you must check in advance.
*You have been to the dentist in 2 to 3 days prior to donating.
*You have gotten a tattoo or piercing in 6 months prior.
*You have received an injection or FLU SHOT 2 days prior.

*You MUST feel completely well.
*You must be between 17 and 61 years of age.
*If you drink, you CAN donate.
*If you smoke marijuana, you CAN donate.
*If you are gay, you CAN donate.

For other questions, please don't hesitate to ask! We, ourselves, will be donating as well, of course! If you wish to come with us, let us know! We will be revealing our date of donation as we get closer to the date.

To book your appointment, call 1-888-2-DONATE (366283). Please book in advance by at least a couple of weeks.

And record your donation! We want PHOTOS, MESSAGES, and VIDEOS of you giving blood! PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED TO THOSE WHO CAN PROVE THAT THEY BLED FOR WOMEN IN HORROR!!

Should you have a FACEBOOK account, you can join the group HERE.

This event IS NOT limited to those in Vancouver. WHEREVER you are, we want you... to bleed for us. Let's paint the planet RED.
