Pretty Pansies

Good morning! Hope your day is started off wonderful. Monday I was playing in the stamp room and I thought about dusting off this old PSX stamp that is retired. Haven't created a fun fold in awhile so I thought a Z-Fold tutorial would be fun.  My Pansy image is stamped on white card stock and colored with various Copic markers. Only embellishments are a few pearls and some sparkles. A lovely Spellbinders Die down the side on the inside panel for fun. When this closes it lines up just to the right of the designer strip in the inside panel, it looks quite lovely.

Here is the card fully opened. Lots of room to write in this type of fold which is very nice to have. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Thanksgiving Winner and note

Gobble Gobble! Happy Thanksgiving! Before I get to my post today I would like to announce the winner of my Calendar girl post. And the winner is.....

Congrats Debbie! Email me your snail mail addy to (  Twinshappy 1 @ yahoo . com )  and I will get your goodies out to you. I enjoyed reading what everyone is thankful for this year. I am very thankful for another wonderful year of good health for us and the boys. God has blessed us in more ways than we deserve this year. He is very faithful indeed.

Today my card is using a PSX stamp that I do not own, but my sweet friend Leslie sent a few images to me. She stamped out the image on two different types of white paper. I am looking into changing the white card stock that I use. The problem is I am very picky on the whiteness of my paper for obvious reasons if you come to my blog.  :-)  This one is on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White. Very close in the white hue to my existing paper and for Copics this worked really good I think for coloring. What do you think? I colored the wreath and then die cut in Spellbinders circle. Layered onto some card stock die cut in another Spellbinders shape and added a sentiment with a button corner. Easy Peasy today.

The rolls are all prepped and rising, the turkey is in the oven and all the trimmings are getting their share of attention today when it gets closer. I hope that you and your family have a very blessed day of Thanksgiving and Praise! God bless!

FS349 Wintry Night

This weeks Featured Stamper is TesaB! Beautiful gallery and besides wanting to case them all I finally choose this Night Before Christmas to case. I basically kept it a wintry card, a cottage, the oval framing and similar colors. I changed the stamp, some colors, papers and the oval design and added a poinsettia to the This is an old PSX stamp that is discontinued long before I was even given it. I love the look and feel to the stamp. Added some stickles to all the snow. My poinsettia is using Die-Light Flower nested flowers two. My frame is using Spellbinders decorative oval that I popped up on dimensionals. Easy Peasy today. Hope you can play along!

Snowy Cottage

For those that check today you get a sneak peek at the Christmas Challenge this month. This months DD/DDA challenge is winter cottage. Most people are planning their summer trips to the beach house or cottage, well let's think winter instead. Create using a winter house scene, chimney scene or even a door front that is ready for christmas. Anyone can play, use keywords SCSCCJUN12 if you load to SCS. We would love to see your creations.
This stamp I am told is from PSX called Snowy Cottage, as the stamp was a gift and the info is no longer on the wood stamp. I believe the company no longer is in business, sorry. I really do love this image. The fancy design on the bottom is using Spellbinders Classic Decorative Inserts three edgeabilities. The look it gives a card is fabulous I think. Some sparkle was added to the snow and ofcourse who could resist these beautiful primas made by my friend Pat. hee hee Hope you can play along with us this month! Have a great day.

Blue snow cottage

I just love this snow cottage image and made another card this weekend. All that snow is with the liquid applique stuff so it looks so real. I added some sparkle to the tops yet its hard to see in the photo. I thought a blue house would be great this time around. Love how you can color whatever you want in stamp land. ha ha See you back on Wednesday with a Sneak Peek from Flourishes. Thanks for stopping by.

Snowy cottage

Doesn't this look like a cozy place you want to be this winter? I got a big box of stamps from one of the mom's at the boys school this week full of new goodies. She had this fabulous cottage stamp in there I think its from PSX correct me if I am wrong I am guessing since the label is wore off. It just looks so cozy and cold all in one. lol I added lots of sparkle to the snow and this fabulous ribbon that I keep forgetting to use on stuff. I just love it! We got a lot of snow and it sure is cold here. The kdis are excited to be off school for a few days. I hope you have a wonderful and family filled Thanksgiving tomorrow!
Several Black Friday Sales that I will be listing on Friday so be sure to check back!

Pansy thanks for Terri

One of the ladies at DH work gave him a bag full of stamps for me that she and her mom no longer wanted. Yippee... Oh she had some wonderful stamps in there including this pansy one. I have no idea who it is but I love it. So this is a thank you card I made for her and her mom. I sure hope they like it.
As for the painting in the house. UGH... UGH... UGH.... Monday was horrible. Spent all day priming the wall in the master, had 6 different paint samples painted on the wall. Took forever to get it painted and still wasn't done come 7 pm. We finished on Tuesday with that room and the bathroom's in the house. Today we are doing the twins room. Then we will be ALL DONE. Thank goodness... I am sick of painting, even if it looks awesome! lol Thanks for stopping in and listening to my rant on painting. hee hee Have an awesome day.
