SC902 Butterlfies

Morning. Butterflies once I start I end up cutting them out every time and popping out the wings from the card. I know after awhile you would think I would stop by I simply can't. ha ha Anyways this is Majestic Monarch from Sweet n Sassy and I am not sure its even available anymore? I have colored the two smaller ones in the set with Copic markers and then popped them up on the base white layer.

Added some colored dots with the markers to match the colors on the butterflies. Some sparkle on wings and voila! I like the springy feel of this.

This weeks Sketch SC902. Happy Stamping!

SC900 Help comes from the Lord

Good morning. Missed the last few sketches so I am glad to be back in the stamp room. This was simple sketch, but I had a hard time coming up with an idea. I believe this stamp is no longer available and called Be encouraged. This is a new embossing folder to be that I just now am playing with. I added the same color to the center of the flowers.

Die cut a few flowers to added to the sentiment panel. A jewel center and voila!
Here is the SC900 sketch at a glance. Hope you can play along with us.

June Christmas Challenge

Good Morning! This is for the June Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge posted HERE. I sure hope you can play along this month.

Dusted off an older set called Christmas Is for my card this month. Limited time with graduation and family here so a sentiment focus card this month. I die cut a few spellbinders oval frames. Wrapped some lace trim and ribbon around the base layers. Added some die cut snowflakes with the jewels and voila! Hope you play along this month.

Spring like thanks

As I mentioned Monday I had fun in the kraft room this weekend. Not only am I low on birthday cards I am low on everything including thank you cards. Gasp! Not sure I have been this low ever on cards for the stash. Even my hidden stash was bare. Time has been getting away from us but no worry I have a few in the stash at least a few now. Anyways...

This is a simple thank you card using a Freshly Made Sketch from a few months back. Yep a few months I put it on a sticky and am now getting to it. The springy paper in the bin was my color inspiration for this one. My sentiment is So Thankful from Sweet N Sassy stamps. Some notebook scrap die cut was perfect for the edge panel and some punched Lil Inkers flowers. Voila!
Have a wonderful day.

Butterfly birthday

Good morning!  Pulled out an older set called Majestic Butterflies from Sweet n Sassy for my card. It looks as if that stamp set is retired, but I did find several other sets with butterflies. I stamped several of the sizes to look like they were flying off the page to the right. I REALLY wanted to cut one out and pop up the wings but I did not. I wanted to but this needs to be a flat rate mailer card, next time...

Added some faux stitching around the edges. Layered a vellum fish tailed tab to the top left with a few enamel dots. My birthday sentiment and another enamel dot with some sparkles to the center butterfly. Voila!

Belly blue Christmas

This months Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is all about Layers. You can find all the details and play along in the Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge forum HERE. Several layers for this creation using Christmas Is stamp from SNSS but it might be discontinued? Blue Poinsettia's are my favorite color on cards. Well anything blue really on a card is a favorite. ha!  This is the card closed with the belly band.

Want to create your own belly band A2 size card check out  my Belly Band Tutorial. These are such cool cards and you can add so much to them and be able to write on the inside still. :-)  My poinsettias have some sparkles added to them and pearl centers. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day!

FS466 Butterfly Birthday

This weeks Featured Stamper 466 is Gunilla aka gunilla.holmqvist. A very elegant and sweet style of creations to choose from. I cased this Instead of Flowers card to case. Kept the butterfly theme, color theme, square card, distressing and stitching. Changed the squares to an oval, moved the butterflies around, added vellum and jewels. My stitching is fake unlike her beautiful stitching she added. Enjoy your week Gunilla!

My creation uses the beautiful Majestic Monarchs as I do love these butterflies. They are stamped on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Once colored I delicately cut around the edges so that I could pop them up on the card. My designer paper is from an older pack of paper called Baby Mine from Carta Bella. Yes I need to use what designer paper I have since I tend to not use much yet I continue to buy it??? ha ha  Before they were adhered together pulled out my distressing tool for the edges and added some faux stitching. Adhered to the card base and added an oval instead of the squares in her creation.

Since the wings are spread out the easiest way to keep them from going flat is to make a box instead of having this in an envelope. So I created a square box to hold the card.  :-)  You can check out my square box tutorial that I did a few months back if you wanted to make your own. This one is a half inch smaller than the tutorial but either one work to hold a square card. The sentiment is from a retired Flourishes stamp set. Finished it off with some sparkles on the butterflies and a few jewels. Voila! I hope you can find sometime to stamp today! Have wonderful day.

Spread your wings

Good morning! This is my last post as Guest Designer over on the Sweet n Sassy Blog today.  I want to thank Korin for having me these last two months. What a wonderful lady to design for and with such a talented group of ladies, thank you so much.

My creation today is using the beautiful Majestic Monarchs stamp set. I stamped three of the different sized butterflies onto white card stock and colored with Copic markers. I delicately cut around each of the wings and only the biggest butterflies antennas. They curled as I cut them so closely which was perfect! If you want to die cut them instead, check out the Monarch Dies matched to the stamp set. Layered them onto the card base and added sparkles for some fun. A few scattered jewels and voila! Hope you have a wonderful day!

FS462 Christmas is

Good morning! This weeks Featured Stamper Challenge 462 is sixclarks and very sweet gallery. I choose this Blossoming Inspiration card to case. I kept with blue flowers, square card and over all layout. Change the stamp, sentiment placement and added ribbon and lace trim to the base. Enjoy your week!

I also posted this over on the Sweet N Sassy Blog today, if you wanted to check it out. My Christmas cards tend to be more using blue and white color combo as that is my favorite, however I do dabble in the traditional colors. Anyways... I used Christmas Is stamp set with a few extra flowers from the set. After I colored the extra poinsettia's in the stamp set I added stickles to them all and some pearly centers. Wrapped lace and ribbon around the base of my designer paper and voila! Hope you have a wonderful week.

Mitten thanks

Good morning! My husband and I are so grateful for the work the girls in the school office have been doing for boosters. We wanted to give them a little something to say thanks. I created this adorable Mitten Giftcard Holder for them with a DQ giftcard inside.  ;-)  Who doesn't like Dairy Queen, right!  Just a little something to say thanks for all the extra work you have been doing.

If you have a mitten die check out my Mitten Giftcard Tutorial and you can create your own for gifts. I made 4 of these and all were similar paper designs from the same pack. I liked the warm browns and blues for these mittens. I can't get enough of these Peaceful Poinsettia dies for cards or projects. My sentiment is from My father stamp set. Faux stitching is perfect on these mittens or you can thread ribbon, great options either way. Added some sparkles and voila. Hope you are inspired to create today. Have a wonderful day.

December Tags

This months Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is all about Drive Thru. You can check out the challenge and get details checking out the thread HERE

I thought I had a lot more tags this year for gifts and when I went to look I had less that I thought. So tags will be on my list the next week or so to create. :-)  These were quick to put together using Peaceful Poinsettia die for the main panel. Some designer paper for the tag base and my sentiment stamped from Poinsettia. Finished it off with some jewels and sparkle. Voila! Hope you can play along with us!

FS460 Warm butterflies

This weeks Featured Stamper 460 is Susie aka Susie Nelson. What a sweet gallery. I choose this Grungy Thanks to case today. I kept with the butterflies, over all colors and changed the rest. Congrats and enjoy your week Susie!

These are beautiful butterflies are from New Creature that are stamped on white cardstock. They are colored using Copic markers then cut out around. The great thing about cutting them out is you can pop them up and fold out the wings from the card base so they look as if they are in flight. Used scrap panel in the pretty blue for the base and a caramel panel with stitched edging with my sentiment from Happy Birthday. A few scattered pearls and some sparkles to the wings. Voila! Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy your week!

Poinsettias and snowflakes

Can you believe that November is almost over? This month just flew by along with most of the year in my opinion. My creation today is using the beautiful Poinsettia stamp set. After my bloom was colored I cut around the edges so that I could pop it on my stitched panel. If you don't like to cut around the delicate petals, you are in luck with the matching Poinsettia Die. The sentiment is stamped on vellum and a notched end added for fun.

The main panel is layered over a snowflakes designer paper and adhered to the base. A few scattered pearls  around the card and center of the bloom with some sparkles added. Voila! Thanks for joining me and have a wonderful week!

FS458 Wreath Greetings

This weeks Featured Stamper 458 on Sunday was Jo aka Rambling boots. What a fun gallery of creations. I giggled at some as they were so fun and playful. I choose this Seasons Greetings card to case in the end. I kept with a wreath and the simplicity of the card. Changed the stamp, created a wreath and added sparkles.

Kittie has a great wreath tutorial that you can follow and create your very own wreath. I think mine is lop sided myself. ha!  They are fun to create either way. My sentiment in the middle is from Poinsettia stamp set on white card stock. I have a sparkly green border around this and the border of the card for fun. Added some red rhinestones and voila! Hope you have a great day.

Some birthday love

Do you know what today is? It is Sweet n Sassy's 8th birthday! Happy birthday SNSS and Korin for all your hard work and creations over the last 8 years! I am honored to be celebrating with them in our blog hop today.

You can find all the blogs to hop along with today on the SNSS blog. Stop by and see what we have going on for hopping along with us. I heard there is a $80 Grand Prize for one lucky person. Not to mention all the fun and goodies along the way. So head on over and start hopping!

My creation today is using Rose Blossom that I have layered up on dimensionals. The rose is colored with Copic markers and then cut around the second rose to pop up. I wanted a soft feminine feel so I went with the lace and ribbon center behind the panel. This Spellbinders die is always that perfect touch to girlie cards and some fancy pearl accents. To finish it off I added some sparkles to the rose. I think I should of added some swiss dots to the background before I added the roses. But.. I like this look also. Anyways, its all good. Voila! hope you can hop along and have a wonderful day.

I stamped Spring Tulips onto white card stock. Layered onto some black then red card stock. Colored my tulips with Copic markers and added some sparkles in red to the blooms. My sentiment is from Happy Birthday stamp set and voila!

FS444 Beautiful butterflies

Good morning! This weeks Featured Stamper 444 is Dena aka Drekow. What a gallery of clean design and springy colors. It was super easy to pick my case when I saw this Watercolor Wings Moments creation. Keeping with the butterflies, over all layout and crisp and clean feeling. Changed my butterflies, removed the ribbon, added some jewels and kept this a one layer card. Congrats and Enjoy your week Dena!

My butterflies are from the stamp set New Creature that are stamped onto white card stock and colored with Copics. Once they were colored, I delicately cut around them so they could be popped up on dimensionals and the wings spread out. One of my favorite things to do with butterfly stamps, it looks so cool! Scored three lines along the bottom for fun. Then added some sparkle to the wings, then a few jewels to highlight the sentiment. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day today.
