FS437 Good Luck

This weeks Featured Stamper 437 is Lisa aka Lisa Ku. Cute gallery and I almost choose one for the kids, but I needed a guy card. As soon as I saw this Aged to Perfection card I knew that was the one to case. Kept with the masculine theme, colors and stamp. Changed the layout, papers and added candi dots and vellum. Enjoy your week Lisa.

It has been forever since I used Lovely as A Tree from SU. This set is always a great set for the guy cards. This happens to be for one of my husband employees that moved recently. The tree has some sudoko gel pen on it to make is sparkle, but hard to see in the photo. Some faux stitching and voila!

For my sweet coffee friend Pat

This gift was made for Pat aka Blooms in the box. Pat introduced me to *Da Man* as he has been dubbed, which in turn started my wild adventures of the West Family Saga. This set is from SU called Wild Wild West. This scriptures speaks to my heart, hence the heart frame. I painted this frame chocolate brown. Once it was dry I added my brown lace trim to the outside of the frame and the inside the heart. Of course my blooms are from Pat's beautiful handy work. Da man was stamped out and colored with copics, then mounted him on dimensionals for the frame. I really like how this turned out and I am hoping Pat likes it as well. Thank you for my morning coffee breaks each week Pat! They are so special and I look foward to them in my week! Hugs....

Mr. and Mrs. West back home

Finally Mrs. Kelly and I are back home from our travels. All this touring around looking for new cattle runs, machines and workers sure does take a lot out of you. Mrs. Kelly is settling back into her daily duties and I am getting myself ready. Yes sir I am applying for the new season of Top Shot. To submit your application you need to make your own Top Shot Target along with your letter of why you will be the next Top Shot. Mrs. Kelly helped me along with the decor, she thought this would bring in more of the ladies to the show. I am thinking to myself its a gun show for cryin out loud, what lady wouldn't want to watch. Anyhow this is our submission for Top Shot. Keep your fingers crossed we get picked. In the mean time I better get to the ranch and the new workers settled and trained just incase I am selected. Till next time.... Bwahahah...

Okay if you watch the show Top Shot as me and Pat do you will totally get this elimination target otherwise you will be totally lost on it. Haven't played with Da Man aka Wild Wild West lately and made this special for Pat. Look for this in the mail soon girlie... I used some of my beautiful Pat Blooms for this special card. The season is ended and with sweetness as Chris the IT guy won. Keyboards all over the world were clicking with excitement I tell you. Till next season Pat...
**I need to clarify that I am not personally applying for the show Top Shot** This is all a fictonal story for the Wild Wild West Stamp set. You can start at the beginning if you would like HERE. Hope you all have a great day!

WWW New Furniture

Mrs. Kelly and I have been busy busy busy. And I mean working around the ranch house, the ranch itself and visiting family that has been in town. I have snuck away a bit and made Mrs. Kelly a new dresser at the house. She really likes the pearly brass knobs so I added those to the front instead of the solid knobs you see all over. Here you can see the whole dresser gift set she has.

The scripture on the top of the dresser drawers is from Our Daily Bread designs. Isn't this velvet crochet ribbon just beautiful? I know she is going to love that and the copper ribbon slider I added. Not bad for a new hubby and his bride. I think I might win some brownies out of this little project.

Ofcourse I had to make her a card thanking her for the last few weeks of wedding bliss. I pinch myself all the time thanking God for this wonderful woman he has sent me. We have gotten a few pieces of mail since the wedding and we have yet to get our thank you cards done. Kinda hard when you are working and playing ya know. hee hee

Sounds like the West family is doing just fine... I did send the Wild Wild West set back to Pat but not before I made a ton of images of the set. Oh yea this saga has more and more coming. The drawer template is from Holly over on SCS found here. I make a lot of these since they are great little gift ideas. I made a double dresser here as you can see instead of a single. Most of the cards with the WWW are in the dresser and are yes a gift for Kelly. Oh did I not mention that Mrs. Kelly is one of my sisters???? I may have neglected to mention this prior. ha ha

Have a great day!

WWW Found a Woman

Here's the Story:
Well girls I am happy to inform you that I have found a woman and I am settling down. Yep this Wild man is going to grow some roots and settle down with a woman and her name is Miss Kelly. She lives in Idaho and is looking for a solid, strong man... that man is me. You see my wild ways have been fun, exciting and make for some great stories. But who can hold stories at night? Who can make a scrapbook of fun and excitement when they aren't with someone you love??? So I am settling down. She made this beautiful Light Red scarf that I am wearing and sent me out on the range today with my Light Red rose to remind me to come home early for dinner. So I plan to do just that after I get the cows all rangled up. Awwww... to finally find the one woman I want to settle down with. Spend the evenings looking at the stars with.... Life is GOOD

Good thing I got home on time like Miss Kelly requested. She informed me that we have a Black Tie Dinner to attend tonight. I hurried and cleaned up and got my best jacket and dress wranglers on. I am about out the door to hitch ole smokey up when Miss Kelly hands me my new dinner scraf she made. Yes mamm.... she sure is a fine woman and taking care of her man. I have to tell you lone rangers out there. When you find *the woman* there is nothing like it. I am not a man to get all gussied up but tonight sure is worth the fancy smancy black tie dinner we are going to. She will be on my arm and I will have my head held high walking with her. :0) Hee hee

Fruitcake Heard the News. I was afraid of this. After I made the official announcement that I was settling down and starting some roots. A few names came to mind that might become a concern for Miss Kelly and I. Sure enough **fruitcake** found out and boy was she hot. She even made a threat. Might have to call in the local sheriff to keep watch for that wagon comin to town. Miss Kelly and I sat down and this morning and talked over coffee. We thought it best to send Fruitcake a card explaining why I am hanging my boots up with Miss Kelly. I sure hope she understands and all. Ofcourse we won't put our return address on the card just incase she tries to come and *visit*. She is a sneaky one I give you that. Had a lot of fun with her.... but that is all behind me now! Best wishes Fruitcake...
Now that you are wondering what the heck is she doing? Has she totally lots her mind. LOL This set is a retired SU set called Wild Wild West. A much used and editorialied stamp set if you will. My gracious and wonderful friend Pat Smethers lent me the set to make a few gifts for my sister... Miss Kelly ;0). Some of the ladies are a bit upset as you can see that Da Man as he is so lovingly called is settling down. He has a few more suprises down the road so be on the look out. Super fun, hope you got a giggle out of it anyways. These cards were all made for one challenge or another. Have a great day.

Midnight Christmas

Dusted off my Lovely as a Tree set and made a winter wonderland. Sponging the edges is something that takes me forever and I can never seem to get it quite the way I want but this time I didn't do too bad. Added some stickles and some super fine flower soft to the trees. The boys said they wanted me to send this card to us this year, they really like how it turned out. lol I am not sure I can send myself a Christmas card. :0) I do like how this looks though. And this Still Waters ribbon is awesome!!! Another Christmas card down! I am running out of time to get these finished. ACK.... Hope you have a great day!

Thoughts for Bernice

I made this springy card for Bernice. She is battling terminal cancer right now. She has her family and friends to help her through the chemo and hard time ahead of her. But I wanted to send her a smile and a prayer so that she knows others are thinking of you too. I hope she likes this springy card.

I am following Leslie's lead and using a older set a month and making a few cards with that set. I choose Memory of the Heart from SU for this month. I got some new paper from Memory box the other day an thought I would use that for my color selection. Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day.

For a sweet friend

This is for a sweet friend of mine who lost her mom this week. We are too far apart for me to hug and help support her there, but I can from a far pray for her and the family and give cyber hugs.....

One thing I would like to try and get myself back into doing this year would be some of the challenges. Now there is a LOT more challenges out there then I have time for, but if I can do at least 3 challenges a week I am going to be excited. As well my friend Leslie is trying to pull older sets out once a month and make a card a week with that set. Kinda like refreshing your older sets. So I am on another mission to do just this as well. :0) Leslie I am going to TRY....
So with that being said, I pulled out my SU set Memory of the Heart. It is one of my favorite sets that is from LONG ago. I combined this with yes a *challenge* over on Mercy's blog her sketch challenge. I didn't say my challenges would be the same week of the challenge, just a challenge. LOL Hey I am trying and that is what is important... right? Luckily this one is in the same week. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Two quick requests

A friend called late last night and needed two really quick cards for today. Talk about short notice, lol So these are very quick and simple cards. I pulled out two sets that I haven't used in awhile. This first one is using Make it Count from CTMH. I distressed the one panel behind the clock, sponged around the clock but not the center and made a background with the other images. Easy Peasy..
For this one I used my trusty ole set Lovely as a Tree from SU. I love these trees, they are perfect for any occasion. I stamped them in Old olive, then with my markers colored in some of the leaves. I have the tree panel up on dimensionals. Again Easy Peasy.

I took these pictures late last night on my stamping table so the picture is not great, but she came and got them last night. Maybe I need to make a planner for her. hee hee Kidding... Hope you have a wonderful day!

Going in circles for Mothers day

Busy week this week! I think I have a post almost everyday, which is NOT normal for me. LOL First lets start with this card. This is one of my favorite Stampin Up sets called Seaside Sketches. I will never part with this set ever. I watercolored the image for the softness. I cased and older card of mine but I tired circles instead for the fun of it. I like how this turned out. Still working on last minute Mother's Day cards for friends. I am almost done. :0) I know Heather is reading this and yes you will have this one. LOL
Tomorrow starts sneak peeks for the new releases for April from Flourishes. We did a mini sneak of a new set called Gigi and Chloe last week. They are so darn fun!
So check back to see what all the new sets are going to be! You won't be dissapointed, trust me...
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Stamps:SU Seaside Sketches

Fishing Birthday

I am working on some cards for the girls at DH work. Birthday cards are always popular requests. This is for an avid fisherman. I popped the hat and his clothes up on a dimensional and it looks great I think. I should of put some sparkle on the water, but I forgot. I know.... bad bad. haha
Nothing on my plate this weekend so I am hoping to relax and stamp.
Make sure to check out Flourishes Newsletter tomorrow. Every Friday on the Flourishes Newsletter the design team will take turns to showcase their favorite tips and techniques! This week, Julie Koerber steps up to the plate to show you one of her faves - colored pencils! Check out the Newsletter for her tutorial. You can find the newsletter here.
Next week has some fun things planned and some new releases! So hope to see you back here. Have a great weekend!

Birthday jems 71

Oh my goodness... I am sure that I am total jet lag and so I had this set to auto post. I am hoping that they have all been doing that while I am gone. This is for sketches by tamara 71 I pulled out some basic grey dp and Garden silhouette by SU for this one. I kept it pretty simple since it was late when I was making this card. Kind of dark picture because I had to take it at night along with my HM from the other day. Come play along and check out the other DT cards.
I am sure that I will have lots of pictures and stuff to share once I get up and around. We will of gotten in late so I planned ahead. LOL Have a blessed day.

Masculine Get Well

This is for my wonderful friend Billie's FIL who had major surgery earlier this week. I love this tree and found that if I stamp it in chocolate and use markers to fill in spots it makes an autumn beauty.

Make sure you check back tomorrow for a fun filled Monday. What a way to start off the week.

DTGD Friday

These are my Dirty girl cards for Friday. It is Joan's Silhouette and Taylors cupcake challenges. I had a hard time with my chocolate card. I just wanted something different and couldn't get it out on paper. So I went with the ole reserve card style.
I love my cupckae mouses. They are just adorable. Great challenge girls.
