Card Box Four Tutorial with Natural Beauties

Good morning! Today I am going to show you the final part of my Spring Border gift set with a tutorial for Card Box Four. This is similar to the other versions just a little different for the front of the box. This is what the final box will look like when complete.

Below is the tutorial for you using Natural Beauties for the box front since that is the clear stamp set that Marcy used for her Spring Border One and Spring Border Two digital versions. The Natural Beauties is like a mini me set, super cute!  :-)

Step One: Cut a piece of card stock 9 inch length by 7 inch width. Score a 1 inch border along all sides. Add designer paper if desired as I have done here. Snip the ends of each corner, add adhesive and fold in to create base. Set aside.

Step two: Cut a piece of card stock 4 1/2 inch width by 7 inch length. Score a 1 inch border on three sides. Add your desired decorative cut edge. Here I used Lawn Fawn's stitched scallop edges. Snip the two ends as shown.

Step three: Add desired designer paper or stamp if you wish. I added silver cord to the bottom as I will be adding other embellishments later.

Step four: Add adhesive to all edges and to the ends you snipped. Start by adding just the end to the box inside as shown. This is the view and way I adhere to make sure that it lined up with the box edge.

Step five:  This is the side view for you to see that it lines up. Next add one side at a time and press to make sure it adheres to the edge. This will help with the strength of the sides of the box as well.

Step six: This is what it will look like. Finish decorating as desired.

This is my finished box without the cards inside. I added a kraft layer behind my image from Natural Beauties and a button with matching silver cord. A few rhinestones and then some sparkle.

Here is my final card box four again with the envelopes and the cards inside from the gift set. Voila! If you want to see the other versions of my card boxes just check the side bar at the top under Sweet and Classic Tutorials.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Daffodil gift box set

Good morning! Did you see?? The new Digi release from Power Poppy is HERE!!!!  Woot woot!! This new gorgeous flower is called Dancing with Daffodils! You knew I was going to make a few cards with this set already and I needed a gift box to hold them all. So here is my Square box tutorial if you want to create your own. I love square cards, usually 5 x 5 in size. So this box was perfect to display them as a gift.

My base is out of kraft card stock with some springy like papers and faux stitching around the edges. Wrapped some lace and ribbon around then adhered to the box lid. Tied my ribbon into a bow and tied off with a button and twine combo. The Dancing with Daffodils is printed on white card stock and then die cut with Spellbinders classic circles. Colored with copics and layered on a kraft circle. A few pearls to finish it off. Voila! Hope you check out my Square box tutorial. Have a wonderful day!

Lilac Gift Set

Happy Friday! You still have time to play in our Power and Spark Challenge. Check out all the details HERE! Hope you can play along!

Today I am going to share with you a gift set that I made for a friend. Well I am going to show you one of the cards, the rest you have to wait for.  ;-)  This box was super easy to create using the Envelope Punch Board. I have a tutorial if you have one want to create your own box. Check out my Envelope Box tutorial and create your own gift set. I sure am enjoying this board since I dusted it off a few weeks ago. All the things you can make with it are awesome.

Our newest French Lilac set is a beautiful drawing of Marcy's and one that I have colored several of already. The front I have delicately cut around the blooms and added them to the front of the box. The wood grain paper makes this look cool with the Lilac I thought. Added a circled punch thank you sentiment from the set Dynamic Duos: Glad and Gerberas. A sheer ribbon bow with a few sequins. Voila. My first card in the set has a button twine wrapped around the bottom that is also die cut with a spellbinders die you will see later. Easy Peasy and what a fun gift set! Thanks for stopping in today.

Standard A2 Gift box tutorial

Supplies

Card stock, adhesive, decorative die, score tool, scissors.

Step 1

Cut a piece of card stock 6 1/4 inches width by 8 1/4 inches length. Score 1 inch on all 4 sides. Pre-fold and snip ends as shown. Add adhesive. This is will be the box base

Step 2

Fold in the snipped edge and secure. This is with one side secured. Secure the other side to form box base. Set aside

Step 3

For the box lid, cut a piece of card stock 6 1/2 inches width by 8 1/2 inches length. Score 1 inch on all four sides and snip the ends just as we did with the base. If you desire a window in your box as I have you will cut that window before you do anything else. Here I have Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles die for my window. Secure your die to the front with a piece of tape and die cut

Step 4

Turn lid over and add adhesive to the inside for the clear sheet of acetate paper. This way you can see the pretty cards through the box lid. Makes for great presentation. Fold the box sides in as you did with the base and secure

Step 5

Here is the gift box complete. Decorate as desired.

Step 6

Here is a picture of my box with the cards inside and with them displayed. I wrapped some lace trim around the box and added the same jewel to the corners of the box lid. The flowers are called Peonies and Tulips from Power Poppy. Enjoy

Gratitude Box and card set

I was thumbing through trying to find inspiration for a new gift set to make and I always look back at past ones I have created. This helps me get motivated with new ideas or ones I like and want to recreate with new stamps. Back when I was in the Dirt Pile over on SCS at the Dirty Dozen this was one of the creation gift sets I made.
This is the cards in the set using the stamp With Gratitude and the sentiments are from Orchids. I stamped each of the flowers and sentiment onto Classic White card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink.
My colors are various Copics from collections:

Here is the box front that holds the card. I loved how these turned out so feminine and warm. This cone flower was one of my favorites. I made my first ever flower at the time using Spellbinders Spiral Blossom Two. The flower and the floral Flourishes on the box design paper have sparkle added to them. I had some paper doilies that were added to the cards along with some beautiful Ivory Wrinkled ribbon. I love these, did I mention that? Some jute twine and Emerald Coast button on a card.

I hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by.

Dirty Dozen Gift Set

I don't have anything new today that I made as we worked on Science Projects all day yesterday after the soccer games. I have to tell you I was beat mentally from the projects. ha! We got them done, and I am as thrilled as the boys are.

Since this is my last month on the Dirty Dozen. I thought I would share with you a few of my projects. But first, I really have enjoyed the last 6 months with the girls. Talk about going by fast! Seems like just the other day Lydia asked me to be Dirty. Thank you so much Lydia!
Here is one of the projects I made the first month I was Dirty. This is a gift set that I made for a very special person. Here is the cards in the box. I also made a bookmark and recovered a notepad. The box I painted and covered the inside with the paper as well so when she is done with all the goodies she has a wonderful little box for other goodies.
All the stamps are from Clear Dollar Stamps. Single scriptures on each item. This beautiful paper I found at the local craft store and really loved the earthy feel to the flowers and colors. An easy gift set and it looks like you spent a ton on it. Our little secret. hee hee Thanks for stopping in with me today!

I have a passion for Flourishes stamps and the owner Jan Marie is wonderful. Julie has been more than gracious and helpful in all my questions and concerns. She has a huge hat at Flourishes also that really most don't even know she does. Gift set for Sister

This is yes another little gift set that I made. I can't help it when I start these little sets I keep making them for awhile. They are wonderful to have on hand. But this set is going to my little sister for her birthday along with something else. I took a picture of the cards up close, and then one with a little box I made to hold them all in. These cards are 4x6in size.
This set is all from the Jan New Release of Our Daily Bread designs set called Lift Up our Hands. I stamped the image off and then huffed on it to make it a little darker. I used the sentiment and verse in each card. She is going to love this, she like my Grandma's one that I made so much so I wanted to make her a set.
These sets can be found here to purchase. There is a new look to the store also, so check it out. And here for other samples the Design team have made also. Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Banished to the stamp room

I was banished to the stamping room last night while DH wrapped my gifts. Which worked out great for me because I was able to get this last minute little gift set done for my Grandmother. She loves to send her friends back in Alaska my cards and the scriptures are her favorite set of cards. So this little set is ready to go and be delivered. I used a few sets to make these cards. They are all from Our Daily Bread designs. I kept the format the same on all of them. I found my felt flowers I bought awhile ago when I cleaned out the stamping room. Gotta love it. lol I made a cute little box to hold these cards and the envies. Sorry for the glare, but again banished to the room so lighting wasn't great. hee hee
I have some wonderful news to share with you on Dec. 26th so make sure to check back. And HAVE A BLESSED AND MERRY CHRISTMAS! Thanks for stopping by!
