Another Christmas card

Evening. I was going to post this during the challenge month but time got away from me again. We have been out of town a lot and just got back recently from the Hoh Rainforest. Beautiful! I loved it all. We didn't even see all that we wanted but we have plans to go back again soon.

Anyways... Here is another one I created for the Christmas challenge last month and just now posting. Actually have a few cards that I created at the same time and will try to post up.

This is using Bough Wow Wow stamp set which is no longer available. However the digi version called Mittens and Merriement is available. Colored with various Copic markers. Added a few layers of designer paper to the base. The base panel is embossed with a folder I bought months ago and just now am using. Then a few enamel dots and some sparkle to finish it off. Voila!

Blossoms in Christmas

Good morning! This month over on the Power Poppy Blog the Blossom Challenge is Christmas inspired. Woot woot! I can't pass up a Christmas card or challenge.  :-)  You can check out the challenge HERE

My designer paper was my inspiration for the colors and the stamp set I used which was Rustic Rejoicing. The image is colored with various Copic markers. Added some sparkle to the ribbon and bells.

Wrapped some crochet ribbon and ribbon around the base layers. Tied off a button and some twine. My sentiment die cut with a circle. Voila!

Hope you play along with us!

SC895 Bliss Tidings for March

Morning. The plan was to get more stamping time in and well that hasn't happened as much. Just be happy I get what time I do get I guess. Anyways this was using stamp set Amaryllis Bliss but only the digital version called Amaryllis is available. I do love coloring these petals. I sized the image panel up first knowing I was going to have to cut it. Then colored with various Copic markers.

Found a tutorial to follow for the cutting of the shapes and did okay not as great as I wanted. Then added them to the base layer. A little bit of stickles and some jewels. Voila

Here is the Sketch Challenge SC895 at a glance. Hope you can play along this month.

Two for one designer paper

I bought some new designer paper packs this last November. I love papers and try to use them but never seem to figure out how to get them to showcase the designs without covering them up. I bought them because they were so pretty. My mission with these two cards was to show the paper and add some stamping at the same time.

The first card I used Poinsettia that is colored with Copic markers. Then I cut around the edges and popped it up with dimensionals. Some snowflake textures to the base layer and added some of the designer paper to the bottom. Wrapped silver cord and a button then added sparkles.

This is the larger part of the designer paper that I just love, but how do you cover that up? You can't. haha  So I decided to show case it and just added a few small touches. So I wrapped some twine around and a button like I did the first card. My sentiment to the bottom left and some sparkles to the actual design.

Now that I look at it should of added some texture to the white space top and bottom, next time. Voila! I do like how this turned out and yes my plan is to do similar with the others. hee hee  Have a wonderful day!

Cozy Holiday

Morning. I do have a Christmas card today that I made a week or so ago. It took me a few days to color, not because it was hard but due to time. I just love this wreath called Wreaths Plain and Fancy. Several Copic markers used to color the wreath. I used the designer paper for the color choice of the classic red and green feel.

The sketch was a start for the Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge but then I didn't want to add a panel to the right side so I left it off. Added a little bit of sparkle and voila! Hope you are enjoying your Christmas traditions as we get closer to Christmas. We have only a few movies left to watch ourselves. Have a great day!

December Dirty Dozen Christmas Challenge

Welcome to the December Dirty Dozen Challenge. This is going to be my last time hosting the Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge as I have taken a step back. I have hosted the challenge for 10 years and I am now passing on the challenge to Angie. Woot Woot! Angie will do an amazing job for you all. Lydia thank you so much for allowing me to run this challenge for the last 10 years, its been FUN! Now... onto December's challenge.

This is using Snuggle down for my card, which is apparently not available anymore. However you can use the digi Cup of Good Cheer for the same image. Easy peasy as you can see.
Colored with various Copic markers. My designer paper from gosh knows how long ago was perfect for these thermos. A stitched scallop edge and some sparkle with enamel dot to finish if off. Voila

Masculine gift tag

Good morning. I was able to get my first set of masculine gift tags done and I am happy with how they turned out. Masculine tags are a little harder to make since they don't like a lot of the fluff that goes with a tag. ha ha  These turned out good I think over all.

I used the Large Banner layered die for the base layers. My woodland frame for the holiday sentiment is from Through the Woods stamp set. Colored with Copic markers then cute to fit the tag. Added a little bit of sparkle to the greenry sprigs. Tied off the top with some ribbon and button combo.

Now to make work on the girlie tags, those are more fun. hee hee  Have a wonderful day!

November Christmas Challenge

Good morning! Happy November. My goodness it is November already... Ai yi yi. The Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is posted up over on the SCS Forum. Hope you can play along with us this month.

Really trying to get myself back into the crafting mojo and it has been tough. Watching a lot of videos on how to color again. I will get back into the swing of things. This is using Through the Woods that I stamped and colored with Copic markers.

Then I cut around the image so that I could pop it up on dimensionals after adding some cuts and texture to make it look even more popped up from the card. Some candi dots from gosh knows how long ago. Swiss dots textures to the base layers and some sparkles to finish it off. Voila!

A few months of Christmas

Morning everyone. It has been a few months I know and for good reason. We remodeled the office which took a few months longer than planned. Turned out beautiful though and I will share a few pictures tomorrow. Today is the Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge cards I missed while this was going on. Only got a few done and posted to SCS at the time.

This is for the June Challenge

This is using a Whipper Snapper guy for my creation. He is colored with Copic markers. I added a snowflake embossing texture to the green panel. Some designer paper from the pile and a few layers of colored card stock. Added a snowflake layered die and enamel dots and sparkles to finish it off. Voila!

This is for August Challenge

This is using Berry Sweet Holiday that is colored with various Copic markers. I added some suduko gel pen as you can see and some pearls for accents. Simple and sweet.

I used Plain and Fancy for my creation today and some designer paper from the stash I have sitting here forever. Added a little bit of sparkle to the wreath once colored. Looking back I think I should of added some texture to the green panel. Oh well next time.

Quite behind in cards this year but I am going to try and make up for it soon. We will see how it goes. Thanks for stopping by.

April colored bird

Evening. Things have been a little busy lately as I started a new job a little over a month ago. It has been fun and challenging trying to balance all the newness of things. I did get my card done for the
Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge, just never got it photo'd till now. This month is posted and you can find the challenge HERE.

Grabbed my Prisma colored pencils and gave them a whirl. Boy I am rusty at creating ai yi yi. Used some designer paper from an older pack and added some textures to the base layer behind the bird panel. A simple jewel for the snowflake and voila! Wish I could say I was gonna get some coloring in this weekend but that isn't going to happen. We have a few house renovations we are starting up. Anyways.... I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I just adore this Santa face and knew he would be perfect for the center. Colored him with Copic markers and die cut with a circle. Added some textures to the sold layer underneath. Designer paper from the stack and scattered enamel dots and some sparkles. Voila

I used Joy To The World for my card this month. The blossoms was perfect for the sizing. Colored them with Copic markers and scored around the edge panel.
Layered onto some scrap designer paper with an added scallop edge. Added to the base and then my scattered sequins. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day.

January Sketch a Christmas

Happy New Year! Today is January 1st and that means a new year of Dirty Dozen Christmas challenges are awaiting your creativity. Hope you can join us this year for fun and creativity. You can find the challenges in the forum on SCS HERE.

My first card for the year is using Amaryllis which is colored using various Copic markers. I did mask the petals so I could put the greenry around the edges since I did not use the large leaves in the set.

Scored a simple border around the image panel. The edge using a stitched scallop die. A simple sequins or two scattered about and then some sparkles to finish it off. Voila!
Hope you can play along with us this year.

Warm Christmas Wishes

Morning! My card today is using Cuddle in the Cabin. Does this not look like the most inviting little cottage? I would like to just jump into the scene I tell you. Mind you not driving there in the snow though. ha ha  If we can figure out how to make it snow everywhere but the roads I would be happy. Anyways.... I added a few deer and trees stamped to the bottom right for a bigger scene than the first time I used the set.

Colored with Copic markers then a little scalloped edge to the left. Layered onto some designer paper that was my color influences. Tied a button and twine combo for the bottom edge and then sparkles to finish it off. Voila!
2020 has been a difficult and challenging year for us all in different ways. My prayers are that you are able to see God's provision and grace through the past months. Many blessings to you and your loved ones this Christmas and a fruitful New Year!

12 Days of Christmas day 12

Today is day 12 and the final day of the Power Poppy 12 days of Christmas. Marcy has a bunch of prize info and sale going on over on the Power Poppy Blog for you to check out. While you are there be sure to check out  Nancy's post using the new Mossy pots with Paperwhites or the digi version.

I played with Garden of Gratitude instead today since I just made tags with the other. How about this little tree in the set? Oh how fun. My uncle in Hawaii will appreciate this card. I thought the pink in the designer paper was a great accent color for the traditional ones so I went with it.

The image is colored with various Copic markers. I pierced around the edge of the main panel and just the left edge of the base layers. Wrapped some silver cord around the pink piece and tied of my sentiment with a button and silver cord. Sparkles on the leaves and voila!

Thanks for joining us in our 12 days of Christmas!

I finally did get to ink up this set Enchanted Branches Woodland and oh what fun this set is. Now I will have to say practice with the "moss" that goes on the branches first as you can tell I did not. darn it... I think I need to look at more branches and practice a bit but I do like how this turned out over all.

Hung the ornaments on the branches and colored with Copic markers. Added some faux stitching around the edge panel and then some ribbon around the base designer paper layer. Faux stitching to the sentiment panel and then some enamel dots and sparkles to finish it off Voila!

Sure hope you are having as much fun as all of us these last 11 days. Head on to the Power Poppy Blog for another fun filled day! Have a great day.

I did not have time to create with this set again but I will for sure. How about another one using Season's Greenings though? It has a woodsy feel with the warm colors I think.

The designer paper was my color inspiration for this card. Some faux stitching around the edge and a scallop layer under the wreath. A few enamel dots and of course sparkles!
Remember to check the Power Poppy Blog for details on all the sale info, prizes and for Case A Bloomie! See you tomorrow.

12 Days of Christmas day 8

Today is day 8 of the Power Poppy 12 days of Christmas. Marcy has a bunch of prize info and sale going on over on the Power Poppy Blog for you to check out. While you are there be sure to check out  Gloria's  post using the new Joy to the World Bouquet or the digi version.

This is not your traditional color theme however at the same time it is warm and sorta is.. sorta. ha! Okay the designer paper is what gave me the color choices for this card. Those gingerbread men were so cute and the cookie and stars were all chocolate and warm feeling.

I started with coloring the berries brown to start. Then I figured warm yellowish and orangish hues for the two flowers that had hints of browns. The poinsettia even has a little warm hues with the added yellow to the leaves. Tie off a brown button and some sequins and voila! In my mind this turned out just perfect! :-)

Now head on over to the Power Poppy Blog! See you back here tomorrow.

12 Days of Christmas day 7

Today is day 7 of the Power Poppy 12 days of Christmas. Marcy has a bunch of prize info and sale going on over on the Power Poppy Blog for you to check out. While you are there be sure to check out  Barbara W post using the new Let It Glow or the digi version.

Oh what fun you can have with this set. I actually had a request for some handmade gift cards but not the traditional ones you think. They were going to give a dollar amount but didn't want to just give money. So they thought how about a card saying how much and then they will tuck the money in later. These turned out super cute and they were really happy.

I strung the lights along the top and then hand drew lines they requested. Colored with Copic markers and layered onto cardstock. Pierced around the edges and added a few sequins stamped around and sparkles to everything. Voila!
Hope you are enjoying the 12 days so far. Head on over to the Power Poppy Blog and I will see you back here tomorrow.
