Selection of cards

Happy Saturday. Been awhile since I posted I see my goodness. I have been creating when we aren't busy with other things. I do miss being able to post more often and hopefully will get back into it more. For now here are a few I actually took pictures of before I handed them out.

This set is called Wonderful In Everyway that is stamped on white cardstock. Colored with various Copic markers. I added some old close to my heart hardware to the edge and then some stickles to the petals.

Another one using Wonderful in Everyway that I cut around to pop up on dimensionals. Some swiss dots texture tot he base layer of white and some flourished jewels to the background. My sentiment tag is using a stamp that I forgot what it was from at the moment. Stickles around the petal edges only to finish it off.

Several masculine cards, this one using Gone Fishin that is retired. Colored with Copic markers. A little piercing around the edge and some brads. My retired sentiment to finish it off.

I did get to play with my new set that I got a few weeks back called The American Eagle. I do love these patriotic sets that I bought. Just need to find more time to play. Wrapped some ribbons around the designer paper. Some twine and button combo for the finishing touch.

Lastly a masculine thank you for a co-worker for all their help. Wrapped the little snippet of this mesh ribbon around the textured base. Added a little bit of dressing to a few layers and then my sentiment stamped a few times. Voila! Not a lot of info on each of these but you get the gist of the cards. Hope you are all doing well that still stop by that is.  ;-)  Have a great day!

Hawaiian Shirt

This die makes for quick cards for the guys and I needed one real quick. The die is called Everyday Shirt die. I really should use this more often along with the added dies that go with the shirt. This was pretty straight forward in I wanted a Hawaii feel to the shirt so I used the paper pack called By The Shore and added yellow to bring out the sun on the paper design.

Stamped the sentiment on the inside and voila! Easy peasy. Have a great day.

March Stripes

Well the March Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is posted and I hope you check it out and play along. My card for the month is using a stamp from ODBD called Candy Cane with a meaning behind the sweet treat at Christmas.

The sentiment was stamped in black ink first, then stamped very lightly the candy cane image. For a softer look to the coloring I used my aqua brush and some ink from the ink pad itself. I like the softer look and feel this has. Die cut with a stitched square and then layered onto some polkadot designer paper. Added swiss dots to the white layer for the base. A few pearls and voila!
Have a wonderful day.

Bottle of prayers

Morning with a quick bottle of prayers card today. The papers did all the work for this card which was rather cool. I pulled out the paper pack called Vintage Ephemera from ODBD and then started my card. For some reason the die that matches this set is missing from my dies. Gosh knows where it went so I had to cut around the sentiment and then layer it onto card stock. Which wasn't hard to do but I can't find that die now which is making me curious. Anyways...

I added a few pearls to the lace trim on the paper and then die cut a flower from the Bitty Blossoms die for the corner accent. Voila! Super easy peasy and I like the warm feeling. Thanks for stopping by today.

ODBD Anniversary Release

Happy Sunday! ODBD is celebrating 10 years and asked a few of the previous designers to join in on the celebration. What fun! I will be sharing two creations with you today to celebrate. Be sure to check out the ODBD Blog for all the new sets, other creations and all the fun.

My first card is using the stamp set God Quotes 2 and the new Fancy Circles Dies. Check out the colors from the paper pack By the Shore collection. Oh I do like these colors together. I have all the details on the cards below as well. This one has some of the added die cut flowers and pearl centers with some sequins for accents.

My second card is a 5x5 square card one of my favorite sizes. My sentiment is from the God Quotes 2 again and then I did a little shadow stamp of the flip flops from the set Walk with Jesus to match the designer paper. Some piercing around the edge of the base layers to match the die square behind Fancy Circles. A few large jewels for the sides and voila!

Hello friend, for you

Good morning. This is my one last one using Hello Friend for you. The crisp feeling of this card is what makes me swoon. All that white space.... aaaahhhhh...

Each of these flowers I stamped, colored then cut out so I could cut between the petals. Each one has been cut around towards the center so I could roll the edges and then pop up on dimensionals from the base. I also die cut a Spellbinders edge along the bottom and added a flourished die cut behind the flowers. My sentiment in the top corner with some scattered pearls and sparkles to finish it off. Voila!

Yellow Flowers

Cheerful hello! Doesn't this in yellow just say Hi, How are you today? Want to smile? hee hee  I do like how cheerful this looks and feel. This is from Hello Friend again and the same vintage die pattern for the base.

The inside of the die cut is stamped with a summer yellow Flourish label border that fits this particular die. Added some designer paper behind the die and then to the base. Scatters some pearls around the sentiment and some suduko gel pen to the flowers. You are not able to see that very well in the picture as usual. ;-)  Thanks for stopping by.

Grateful for you

My new stamp set and dies arrived the other day and I was able to play a little bit yesterday. This is called Hello Friend and has the matching die to the flowers and leaves in the set. The flowers are colored with various Copic markers and then die cut so they can be popped up around the card base.

My card base is using the decorative die called Vintage Flourish Pattern that is in white. Stamped the sentiments around the middle as I wanted. Added the flowers around the edges and some jewels for accents. Voila! I am really enjoying this set and have a few more to show you in the coming days. Just need to finish them. Have a wonderful day.

Locker hangers

Morning. You just have to love football season! The team mom puts out a list for the Parents to sign up to decorate the lockers of each player the night before the games. You know I always sign up and this year I actually took a picture of what I am putting up on their lockers. They always include candy of some sort since that is what the kids like most about the decorations. ha ha  Walking down the hallway is pretty cool though when you see everyone's locker. Here are the twins hangers and now I need to finish up the other players and get them ready.

These pennants are from an old Spellbinders die set and ODBD Large Numbers die set. After I did these I thought second about die cutting all the pennants but you only live once as they say.  :-)  No sparkles the boys said, but the stickers were cleared they said. ha ha  I used a helmet I found in photo shop and enlarged it with the sentence for the team we are playing tomorrow. Then colored part of the helmet piece to make it more our colors. A few sequins and voila.

90th Birthday for Grandma

Good morning! A big celebration this weekend with grandma's 90th birthday. What do you get someone who has everything? We ended up with getting flowers and so did everyone else. ha ha  The house smelled like a flower field she had so many flowers. Scattered all around her house it looks beautiful.

I knew the paper I was going to use right away as she loves roses and pink, so I grabbed ODBD Blushing Rose.  These Large Numbers die were coming next as I wanted them specifically for aged birthdays, like the boys I did this year. Used the Vintage Labels die as the base for the numbers and added some flourished die cuts under neath.
Used some flowers I have had in my stash from a long time ago to the edges. My base layers have faux stitching around the edges and some sparkle and sequins to finish it off. You can see the glue is still wet on the sequins as I had to take the photo and head over to the party. Yep... nothing like waiting until the last minute. Sheesshh... Story of my weekend I tell you.  :-)  Anyways.... I have time this week to stamp which is great. Suppose to be another hot week like this weekend was. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful day!

March is all about the sparkle

Today is the first of the month and that means the new Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is up. This month is all about Sparkle. So grab that glitter and let's add some sparkle to those creations. More details is over on the SCS Forum found HERE. Hope you can play along.

My intention was to post this last month and get another one done for this month. Lucky for me this works for both as I added lots of sparkle to this garland on the door. hee hee  :-)  This stamp is Christmas Door that is stamped on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers.

Here is a close up of the sparkle. My designer paper is from the Holly Jolly Christmas pack. A very simple card with some lace trim and ribbon for the accent. A few jewels down the side and lots of sparkle. Easy peasy! Thanks for stopping by today.

Lamp unto my feet

I mentioned a week or so ago that I was playing with some of my old  stamps. How fun to dust off an older set and recreate new cards and new ideas. Well I did that today using one of my first Our Daily Bread designs sets that is called Light of the World. It's perfect for a friend that needs a reminder to keep it up.

My lighthouse is colored with various Copic markers. A simple design with faux stitching around the designer paper edge. I really do like that look on cards, don't you? These fun metal circle accents are some hardware that I have had sitting here for ages. Perfect time to start using more of the old stuff. And it was a perfect fit for the card instead of my usual sequins. :-)  My squares are using the new Pierced Square die. Mixing old with the new, yea!
Easy Peasy! Thanks for stopping by.

January Calendar

Morning. I know January has already started however, I did just get this months complete. This is a yearly calendar from TE that I am making for a friend. It will be pretty simple each month since it needs to be mailed. This month I used Jingle Bell Time stamped and colored with Copic markers. Each month will have an added scripture to the side. I am debating if I want to circle or stamp on certain dates for holidays etc. Maybe just let her do that? Anyways this is the first month. Now to get ahead and work on the others.  :-)  Have a wonderful day.

Joyful 2017

The Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is taking on a little spin for the 2017 season and I hope you can play along with us. You can find the challenge HERE! This is a Joy Fold Card creation using one of my new stamps from Santa called Jingle Bell Time. Oh I adore these bells... I have them stamped on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers. I added stickles and a few sequins for accents is all for this card.

This fun paper is from ODBD Snowflake Season Collection paper pack, oh yea! Santa was super good to me this year. hee hee  I added stickles and a few sequins for accents is all for this card. The sentiment on the inside is stamped on the right so I can write what I wish on the written panel. Voila! Hope you can play along.

So let's get started on our 2017 cards, what do you say? I know some of you are laughing, but hey I am just trying to help you all out.  :-)  Have a great day!

Thinking fall is over

I am thinking fall is over and the last of my fall themed cards for the year. Figured I would send it off with this stamp called Autumn Tree. A simple and clean design for you using this tree. I colored the tree with various Copic markers, then I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle.

Layered onto some designer paper and then some rust cardstock. My sentiment is stamped onto a matching rust die cut circle with a heart brad center for the corner. This is some more of that CTMH hardware that I am trying to use up. Voila.... goodbye fall... and welcome Winter and Christmas cards. YEA!!!!  :-)  See you back here tomorrow for the kick off of the Dirty Dozen December Christmas Challenge. Have a great day!

I will play my drum for him

This little drummer boy is just so darn sweet. I created this with the Dirty Dozen November challenge in mind with the music background and of course this sweet little drummer playing for Jesus.

My stamp is called Little Drummer boy which is stamped on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers. Then I die cut him using Lil Inkers stitched rectangles and the chocolate layer. Before I adhered the drummer panel I die cut some Fancy Foliage in the matching blue cardstock to the chocolate panel. The designer paper is from the Christmas Collection 2014 layered onto chocolate and a faux stitching around the base. The little buckle like die cut is from Matting Circles which I threaded my ribbon through and added some sparkle to all the dies. Finished it off with some random jewels and more sparkle. Voila!

Floral Birthday wishes

Good morning! This card has no stamping or coloring which means it came together rather quickly. Good thing too as I needed a quick birthday card.  ;-)  The beautiful papers and the birthday sentiment come from the Blushing Rose collection. Die cut using the matching Vintage Flourish Pattern Die. Die cut several Bitty Blossoms flowers in the white and soft pink cardstock. Added some pearls and sparkle to the flowers. Voila! Gotta love the printed papers. hee hee  Have a wonderful day!

Joy to the World

Happy Monday and welcome to the Dirty Dozen August Christmas challenge. This month we have a wonderful Inspiration piece for you to be inspired from. Hope you can play along this month. You can find out challenge HERE

This was a great photo and oh so many options I came up with. Here is my first idea using Pinecones along with the wrapped present idea. After my image was colored and the sentiment from Luke 2:11 stamped they were die cut using ODBD Elegant Ovals. My designer paper was layered onto some dark chocolate cardstock and wrapped with bakers twine for the present on the photo. Layered onto some kraft cardstock and pearls added for accents. Hopefully I can get to my other ideas this week as I do like this photo. Thanks for stopping by today!

FS479 Masculine notecard

This weeks Featured Stamper 479 is Cheryl aka Cher2008. What a gallery from feminine to masculine you name it and she creates it. I choose this Happy Birthday Jerry card to case. Kept with a moose image, over all layout and similar colors. Changed the image, omitted the ribbon, added brads, textures to the background base and no sentiment. Congrats and enjoy your week Cheryl.

My masculine stash is depleted and I am in great need of several right now. EEK!!! Time to get that stash back up. I used Father's Day for my main image. Stamped in chocolate ink and only a few green sprigs colored in for fun. Some faux stitching around the designer paper panel that has a chocolate base. Added that awesome chicken wire texture to the blue base and more chocolate. I think the chicken wire has replaced my swiss dots now. hee hee  Kidding! A few brads to the fish tale ends and voila! One down... and several more to go.  Have a great day!
