Monday giggle and update

Happy Monday! My husband saw this on FB this morning and thought I would like it. Hint... don't read this while you are drinking coffee like I did unless you have a towel handy.  :-)

The tile is officially in and looks awesome! Today and tomorrow are carpet day and then we are able to move back in. whohoo!! The "In Law Resort" as we have been calling it has been great, but we are ready to be back at home and in our normal routine. So say a prayer that he finishes today!  hee hee   Hope you have a wonderful day!

Give it up for the 12th man...

Ahem.... I Stacy Morgan have officially deemed my team... aaahhheeemmm... The Seattle SeaHawks.  I hold my head high and will cheer for the Super Bowl 48 champs from this point further.  :-)

You have no idea how my house sounded during this game. ha ha!  But I am a woman of her word and well... Here is to next season... GO HAWKS!!!  Oh an don't forget Colts and Denver.. But sshhh It is our little secret, k!   hee hee

Go Denver... Go Denver...

It's the Super Bowl.. It's the Super bowl... :-)  Whohoo!!! Well before we get to all the FUN and games of the Super Bowl this weeks Featured Stamper 365 is Sherri aka Kushabella! Congrats Sherri! I knew which one to case when I choose you. this Jammer Town Dilemma is perfect for this day as it is Super Bowl SuNdAy! Whohohoo!!! I kept the theme, a scalloped edge and designer paper. However had to make some modifications to the colors, team and papers.  hee hee  Hope you enjoy your week girlie!
This adorable guy is Football Brat from TS that is now closed. I dusted him off and added my colors and team number. The designer paper is from my scrap bin and I think this is probably the last of my orange paper. ha!  I know who will be getting this card on Monday!

Now for a bit of insight into this game today. Rather big game! Yes Manning is in yet again.. yes! We have the number 1 defense playing the number 1 offense and is it going to be a GAME! Truly want this to be a fair game and the best team win. I don't want another Steeler/Seahawks super bowl. I truly want the game to be fair! All this being said I have somehow put myself into a sticky situation this Super Bowl. Let me explain... Early on in the season a certain someone (who will be here today) was really giving me smack talk about the Colts giving up on Manning, and how Denver is this that and the other etc. He kept saying I should be a fan of my" home team" and that I haven't even been to Indy, I have been to Denver. So I... gulp said and I quote "Well if Seattle goes and WINS the Super Bowl then I will officially be a Hawks fan" GASP!!! So NOW... Oh my...I am in this awful position as they are in the SB. I really wasn't thinking they were going to make it this year. The only reason this is even an issue is because my boys heard me say this and obviously the one that is a hawks fan is totally excited. But as an example of my own teaching to them (darn parenting skills) I have told them, you stick to your word and don't say things you don't mean. Um... well does that count towards football?  As my husband says (mind you he is a hawks fan)  said "yes". What would I be teaching them if I didn't follow what I preach. Oh crap... So yes Manning NEEDS to win today! I will be sitting by myself this game with the REST of the crowd in here with all their hawks glory. However, I am comfortable with that.  :-)  if this is a lesson for me and the boys then God willing I will do it. Secretly I will also cheer for my teams.
Good luck to both teams and may the best team win! Denver of course!!!  Have a great day.

Gotta love, Play Off Football!!!

Well ladies and gentlemen.... it is down to the last four best of the best! That's right... my Colts are not in the mix this year. Sniff... Sniff... But my back up, the Broncos are.  ;-)   hee hee   Don't you just LOVE this? I am finally home from our week of business in Vegas at the SHOT show. I am happy to say I love sleeping in my own bed. Lots to catch up on this week but first thing first is GAME DAY!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!

A little love for my DH and DS team the Hawks!!  Yep they are wanting a Hawks and Broncos SB. I will take that.  ;-)   A house divided or more like everyone else on one side and myself on the other. ha ha

Another nail biter game from the Manning-Brady bowl! GASP!!! These two athletes are amazing, yes even Brady. Gulp... I can't believe I put that in black and white. They are great competitors that will put on a great show for us. Let's just hope that this time Manning brings it home to the Super Bowl!!! WHOHOHOO!!!  Go Broncos! Enjoy your football Sunday!

Thursday Giggle

Now that is FUNNY!!!  Found this on Pinterest as I sit here trying to just take a moment to breathe today. Some of you have wondered where is all the football fun this season on my blog?  To be honest I have wanted to post and create to tease a few of you. However life is a bit over whelming at the moment. Some of it I keep questioning why... some of it like REALLY... some of it I am mad and just plain frustrated at. Life is life! The one thing I am so thankful for is God is here every step of the way to help us. When scripture says to pray unceasingly I think I got that covered especially now.  :-)   The one thing I do know is he uses the times we struggle to mold us and make us better if we ALLOW him. This is a season to grow apparently as hard as that is. A daily fight it seems in some areas. I am not alone, God gave me the most wonderful husband along side me as we travel through this season. Years ago we wondered at some things God was planting in our lives and thought, really God? Don't you love it when you see some of what God planted in your life/heart much earlier and you wondered what is he thinking? ha ha
Anyways... I am catching some of the games and know that in my moments I am thinking of a few of you and wanting to post a little fun, and I am doing it mentally for now.  Thanks for stopping in... Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Here we goooo Colts, here we GO!

Do you know what today is? That's right today is the first day of NFL Playoff's for the season. And guess who is in the playoff's? YEP! Both my teams... Colts and Broncos! I am so stinkin excited I can hardly stand it. The thought that the Colts will beat the Ravens tomorrow and then play against Manning next week is just too much. I seriously think that game will send me into a tizzy! LOL  If they do end up playing against the Broncos next week,  I will be cheering for the Colts of course as they are my true team. However... don't kid yourself I won't hesitate to squeel when Manning throws a touchdown. I seriously am super excited for the playoff's this year and its been a few since I was this excited. Who am I kidding, I guess with the exception of last season I am pretty much excited every year! ha!
Fun little card today using Football Brat from Totally Stampalicious. I have stamped him onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. He is colored with various copic markers then popped is panel up on dimensionals. My background has the fun star textured embossing folder, then added a bit of grass from my Sweet N Sassy grass die and then a few stars with brads. Easy Peasy!!  WHOHOO!!!!  Go Colts!

You're My MVP

There is much dilemma talk in jammer town over on SCS lately about stamping or football. Sounds like some are having a hard time deciding, well not me. Football it is girls! HA!   This is a few months out of the year and I look foward to it each and every year. So here is my salute to the dilemma. hee hee  This adorable little guy is from Totally Stampalicious called Football Brat that I stamped out on classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. I colored him using copic markers. The little horseshoe tag is some ribbon that my friend Judy aka stampingqueenjar sent me awhile ago. Certainly fits the Colts fan that I am. I added stickles to his gloves, the star and the little horseshoe tag. So here is the question for you.... What would you choose? Stamping or Football? Cast your vote and let me know! hee hee  Have a wonderful day!

FS292 Go Colts!

This weeks Featured Stamper 292 is Angela aka Angela R. Angel (as I know her) has a beautiful gallery full of talent and detail in every creation. I am having some fun with my case today as we have a fun little "taunting" going over the years with the NFL season. Since the season just started here is the first of our many fun taunts. hee hee I choose Angel's beach birthday invite to case. I in turn made some NFL pants the players wear.
Kept the blue colors, drew my own template as she did, changed the stamp and the sentiment. Ofcourse I did choose Angel's favorite team the Colts , her shorts were blue after all. See she loves the Colts deep down just doesn't want to admit it. hee hee My laces for the waist were using eyelets that I dusted off a few weeks ago and some sheer white ribbon to finish them off. My sentiment is from Football Brat, and for the elastic along the buttom of the pants I added some pleated white ribbon. HA! Hope you can play along with us this week. Angel enjoy your week girlie! Thanks for stopping in today!

Are you Ready for some FOOTBALL????

Yes we are! Yes we are! LOL Tonight is game one of the regular season and I am THRILLED to say the least. You know what else? I get to have nachos now.... I got my braces off yesterday and I enjoyed a delish peanut buster parfait and now I get nachos! Whohoo!!!! Life is GOOD!
Here is my NFL season schedule, got it done in time. This adorable little guy is from Hambo Stamps called Football Boy. He is mounted so that he can move up and down the schedule just as the others I have made for friends. The horseshoe in the back was a gift from my sweet friend Angel. We have quite the little taunting going each season. It is all fun and games. She is a Saints fan and as you can imagine we have had some "taunts" over the years. bwahahha
Going to be an interesting year with the new QB. I have faith he will do our team well. You know I will not leave my all time favorite QB in the dust. I will be following my Manning along with his Bronco's and hope they do well also. Not to say they won't, I mean come on he is Peyton for cryin out loud! LOL However... still a Colts fan to the core. :0) So here is to a FUN and WINNING season for my Colts! Have a wonderful day!

His helmet has liquid glass all over it so its shiney like a helmet, yet hard to see in the photo. Guess we will see how the Saints play this season without the lead coach and a few others. hee hee Good luck Angel!
Haven't gotten my NFL schedule all finished yet however I did get this fun card done using Football Brat. He is just so darn cute don't you think? Some fun dp from the local craft store was perfect for this card. I threaded some twine through the ball to look like the threads. Very simple!

What is a *Fan*

Today is D-day in the football world or atleast that is the way it feels. It is official today that Peyton Manning is leaving the Indianapolis Colts football team. For you non football fans out there you won't get this post and will probably skip over it and I can get that. However I am a fan of football from every aspect of the game. I get excited and sad all in one weekend sometimes. ha! Last night my DH showed me the links of non official but official if you will leaks on Manning making it official. Honestly I actually did cry a little. Now hear me out, not that I am a complete dork here. I was sad and like with most things I take to heart all things I love and adore. So for me this was actually very sad news. Manning is a wonderful player, but he is also a wonderful person of character. Do I know him personally, no. Can I gleam from what he says to people in interviews on and off camera. Can I gleam from what his friends and family say about him as a person and his actions speak louder than words, yes. In this regard I feel as if yes I know a bit about him. I see his struggles on the field and I see his dedication to make changes to see the cheers when things are positive.
This lead to the question my DH was asking me all along in the "Will he return and will you still be a Colts fan is he leaves" question. I knew full heartly that he was coming back, and I thought it would be with the Colts. Turns out I was wrong, which leads me to a very hard decision. Will I stay a Colts Fan. This lead into why did I become a Colts fan to begin with. I mean I live across the map for crying out loud, I have never even been to Indy. HA! A little back ground for those of you still reading :0) In middle school and a bit of high school I was a Chicago Bears fan (not a word Dawn hee hee) and I loved the Bears. Walter Peyton was awesome and Coach Ditka was so cool. When Walter Peyton retired on his last game and they lost I was done with football. Mostly because I think I got into boys and being a teen. Anyways, over the years I watched some football mostly the Super Bowl and barely kept up with that team had who etc. I was a girl after all. ha In my 20's I started to get back into watching more football and taking an interest again in the teams. When DH and I found out we were having twins I was excited. To find out it was boys that sealed the deal. I knew I had to find the team I wanted to support and cheer again because when they are older they will want a mom who knows football. This is coming from my DH mom who thinks they have bases in FB. I did not want to be *that* mom ya know.
I thought no way I could do Seahawks, they just have not had the best of years even if I am from their home state. I just couldn't do it. Basically it boiled down to I want a team that has intergrity and something I can say with head held high they are a good example for the boys as a team and people. Not saying they are perfect, but a good example. I won't even go into the non good example teams out there. So Tony Dungy came to be the Colts coach in 2002. Now if you know anything about him he is a man of intergrity and honor. Perfect! Didn't hurt that the Colts had Manning, he is awesome.
After a little bit more thought, I chose the Colts. Some think this is odd and what is this crazy girl thinking but I picked and they were my team. What a team they have been over the years. I have grown to appreciate the game and the time and energy they put into this game for my entertainment. My break from the world for a few hours to just sit and (enjoy) most of the time on Sunday's. Learned that you can be in the spotlight and have honor and really show that not all players are alike as a team and individuals.
Now all the babbling as you are thinking has got you to wonder why post this? Well because DH got me to thinking a lot about if I am going to stay a Colts fan or will I pull a shared loved for teams as DS has done. One of the twins is a huge Green bay Fan but also a Brett Farve fan. So he had divided team love when he retired. Ofcourse he has grown to embrace Rodgers like a mad man. DH wonders will I embrace this same fate as him or stick to being a true Colts Fan. I am not sure I can embrace this Luck fellow right now. It is nothing against him, I have not a clue about the guy. What about the others that I like so much Clark? Saturday? Wayne? Vineterri? Addai the list goes on. So right now I am in limbo and watching all the news media doesn't help any. The only thing you might really giggle at is my other DS said "well he might come to Seattle (which is his team) and they could use a quality player as Manning" How sweet is that? I leave you with this if anyone is still reading, I love the game regardless! It is good to have a passion about something even if its not stamping! ;0) I hope you have a great day!

Patriot Fans turn your head...

Giants Rock! Once again the Giants have beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl! I promised I would get a card ready and mailed to Derek and here it is. Not what I had planned but end result is the same, Giants ROCK! This adorable guy is Football Ian from The Greeting Farm Stamps. I think that Eli is becoming my second favorite QB of all time. HA! If he keeps beating the Patriots in Super Bowls I seriously might have to trade teams. NOT! But they are my second team in the NFL.
:0) Now for a funny story...

So if you follow my blog at all you know that I am a Colts fan and Patriots are my least and I do mean least favorite team. Keep this in mind for a moment and we will come back to it. You know the show NCIS? My favorite show that DH and I watch every season. This week's epidsode was interesting as it was a "What if" sort of senario. As in what if you choose differently how would things turn out. So this got me to thinking and then asking DH what would happen if we didn't get married. Where do you think you would be? I know dangerous question but interesting still the same. His first response was "Hopeless and lost without you honey" yea right, seriously. He then said " Well not sure really. I might have gone to a different college, maybe the college where Brady went. We would of hung out and you never know roomed together" As he is laughing at his funny remark. I socked his arm and said "I would rather you have said married to a Victoria Secret model on some island in the bahamas. That is blashemy in this house! " HA! Funny isn't he. Anyways, this NFL season is over and with a bang if I do say so. Looking forward to this fall. These *anaylists* that keep talking about Peyton Manning and what not are starting to irritate me. They are going to eat their words come March! :0) Have a great day!

Remember This.....

That's right 4 years ago I made this card for Derek, my good friends husband the FIRST time he beat the Patriots. And they did it AGAIN today! WHOHOO... Oh I am more than thrilled that Eli and the Giants beat the Patriots. A very well deserved victory and Super Bowl Win for the Giants! WHOHOO!!!! Way to go boys! Manning name is still on top! Gotta love that end to the season. We got home late as this year we went to a friends house for the Super Bowl, but I will be making another Super Bowl victory card for Derek this week! WHOHOOO

See you back here Wednesday for Flourishes Sneak Peeks of the February Release.

Better get your seatbelts fastened....

It's going to be a long NFL season in the Morgan House....

Offical Release
As previously stated on Monday, Sept. 5th, Peyton Manning has undergone further testing and consultation with several specialists regarding his rehabilitation. The results of these tests and the consensus of the consultations was that further surgery was warranted. Peyton has undergone this surgery today by having a single level anterior fusion. The surgery was un-eventful.
This procedure is performed regularly throughout the country on persons from all walks of life, including professional football players. Two former Colts players had this same procedure last winter and have fully resumed their careers. Rehabilitation from such surgery is typically an involved process. Therefore, there will be no estimation of a return date at this time. We will keep Peyton on the active roster until we have a clearer picture of his recovery process.
Peyton will immediately begin the rehabilitation regimen mapped out by the surgeon. We anticipate no further updates or availabilities beyond those required by the NFL Media Policy for the immediate future.

Can you smell the sweat...

the leather pads... the popcorn? Pre-season is always a great week at the Morgan home. The start of a new season, new players and even new fans. I have a new stamp for this fun season from Greeting Farm Stamps called Football Ian. hee hee Talk about adorable, he sure makes me smile.
Now in the past I have been quite the enthusiasts when it comes to football, but always sweet and innocent. Nothing like those fans who send their own teams colors in a cookie bouquet to the opposing teams house the day of the super bowl. I mean come on... WHO would do that to another loving friend? Right Angel??? Surely not sweet and innocent little ole me. HA!
Okay Maybe I am not that innocent after all. And yes I did send a bouquet in the colts colors to Angel that year of the super bowl. I was however a very good and gracious loser when she called squeeling like a school girl when they won. Best called game I have seen in football if I do say so myself. Anyways, I made an interactive calendar for Angel to keep track of her teams games and dates. She just has to move her quarterback up and down the left side to the week of her games. Now looky looky who they play on Oct. 23rd. How nice... :0) Have to make sure that game is marked properly.

Now I had to have my own interactive calendar as well, I mean come on what fan wouldn't. Apparently the Saints think they are bigger and better than all the rest because I couldn't get the schedule for them to print any smaller than that. Enjoy pre-season everyone!

Super Bowl Play Off's

One thing my family loves is football. No matter your team, your colors or your state we all have a team we love. The season must come to an end with just a game or two left but it leaves you with excitement for the next season to come. One of the twins is a huge Brett Favre fan and we are not sure how he came to like Green Bay or Favre but he does. When Favre left GB he said he still likes the Packers but did follow Favre to the Vikings. As it seems Favre is not going to be coming back to the NFL and DS said well I guess I have to embrace Rodgers as my new quarterback. This season he has cheered for both teams and is ready for a Green Bay Super Bowl he says. hee hee So we bought all the goodies we need for the game tomorrow and even found some plates and napkins to go with all our goodies. Should be an exciting day of football tomorrow.
I made this card for him in hopes that he will make it to the SB with his team. This is one of my favorite House Mouse Stamps. ;0) I added some sparkles to the pop can, some liquid glass to the popcorns butter for the wet look and some liquid applique to the threads on the football. GO PACKERS!!! Thanks for stopping by!

The Season Begins....

Can you smell the field? Can you feel the crowd noise? Do you get goose bumps when you hear the NFL song.... I do and I have to say I miss that song over the summer. hee hee What a season this will be, I can feel it. My Colts are going to win it all! Angel your Saints might have a repeat this super bowl but with a different out come! I am holding out hope the Cowboys will make it to the play off's, Judy I know you probably are also. Good luck girls!
Well right now I am sure I am with family watching my sister open her gifts before the rest of the family leave town. Now don't kid yourself I have a TV somewhere in the house with a game on to check in on the games. :0) I will have pictures of the wedding and such tomorrow to share. Hopefully I will have time after everyone leaves to post them. Enjoy game day girls!

Congrats to the Saints!

This goes out to my good friend Angel, who I have had the pleasure of taunting the last 2 weeks. Oh this is hard to swallow... I even sent her a Cookie Bouquet with Colts football shaped players. Oh what a surprise that was for the Saints Fan in her house. hee hee A few phone calls, text messages and emails as well. But who's counting... lol Each year we have this little game going with our teams. And finally we got to have a SB together, WHOHOOO.... Maybe next year for my Colts! I made these cards for us and they were on the TV for the game, you will be getting your cards in the mail shortly girlie! Hugs...
We had a blast at the house and everyone enjoyed the food. Now to get ready for next season... Oh the waiting just kills me... lol
