Fall Leaves

Hey Everyone!!! Bonus post today!!! I wanted to do Fall/Thanksgiving manis this week but I also wanted to post the birthday mani so today I am doing two posts! Yay! I love oranges and browns and yellows so I love Fall and the manis that can be inspired by it.

This mani didn't quite come out like I had wanted but I still like it. I intended on stamping in red but couldn't find a red that stamped well enough for it to show. Once again I now realize I need stamping polishes. I am going to have to bump that up on my wish list.

I started with two coats of China Glaze Mahogany Magic. It is my current favorite Fall polish. I used one coat of Lacquistry Yolk-o Oh no to add some glitter to the mani.

I used Bundle Monster plate BM-H11 from the Holiday collection to stamp the leaves on. I used black polish since nothing else wanted to cooperate. Don't mind my random pinkie design. I accidentally used the wrong image and didn't realize it until I had already stamped my nail.

This mani was really pretty in the sun when the glitter caught the light. I wasn't overly excited about the black stamping because it was so dark but I love the leaves pattern.

I want to do an awesome stamper decal with these leaves and super pretty fall colors. Hopefully I can fit it in because I am running out of fall here. I know technically Fall doesn't end until December but it just feels wrong to have fall nails during December.

I love Lacquistry polishes too. Right now she has some of her polishes on sale as well as some new holiday polishes up in the shop.

Ahhh I am ready for Thanksgiving now! I am hoping it cools off here for Thursday but I am not going to hold my breath. I love when it is cool enough on Thanksgiving to open up the windows and enjoy the Fall air. That rarely happens here though. I do have my Leaves candle from Bath and Body Works ready to go in case I can't enjoy the open windows.

That's all for now :)

Golf Socks

Hey Everyone! Last night was the last concert of the year for my son's school band. They played so well and he got to play with the jazz band too. It was a fun night but I am so tired today since it was a late night. I am going to make this a quick post because I still have to make dinner.

Today I have another Lacquistry polish for you. This was the one that caused me to order from Lacquistry in the first place. I saw this polish somewhere and of course HAD to have it! HAD TO!

Golf Socks!

I love LOVE LOVE this polish! I also love the labels, they are super cute and the little stone is a great touch.

I used two coats for this mani. I do have to say that because of the density of the glitter I needed to add a bunch of thinner to this bottle to get the polish to the consistency that I like working with. It was no big deal to me because I love the polish but I thought I would mention it.

I was taking pictures in my car on the way home from work. I wasn't driving don't worry. The sun was setting so some of these pictures are in funky lighting. I like the way they came out though.

Golf Socks has a deep navy dark blue jelly base filled with tons of orange-y gold glitter in it.

It looks a little patchy in some places but it didn't look that way in person. I believe it was mostly the flash picking it up. To save on using too much of the polish I might layer it over a navy blue next time.

Jenna has amazing customer service and I am hoping to catch her shop open again so I can get Golf Sweater to add to my collection. Well, Golf Sweater and several others.

I am loving the combination of dark blue and orange.

That's all for now :)

Lacquistry Gutter Snow

Hey Everyone!!! I hope those of you that are mothers had a very nice Mother's Day yesterday! I had a nice day. We went to see the Avengers and sat in that Dbox seat thing. It was crazy expensive but kinda cool since the movie was so action packed. For those of you that have NO CLUE what I am talking about Dbox is a seat that moves with the movie. So when the car crashes your seat jolts. It was almost constantly in motion for that movie. It was a neat experience. I would say it would be fun to do once with a great action movie but it isn't something I would pay that much to do again. I also had cake so that made me happy.

I had a hellish week at work last week so I didn't post much. Sorry about that but by the time I left in tears a couple of times I got home and didn't want to do anything but complain. I am still not feeling great about the work situation but I have to learn to deal with it because it is my job and I do need to work. The day dreaming about winning the lottery really picked up last week though. So

So today I have an Indie polish for you from the brand Lacquistry which can be purchased on Etsy. Right now her shop is closed but I was fortunate to have gotten a hold of the two polishes I did a few months ago. This is another one from my back log so my nails are longer in these pictures. I actually just had to file them down this weekend after a series of breaks. It wasn't a good week. lol.

Lacquistry Gutter Snow.

I absolutely love this polish.

I used three coats of Gutter Snow. As with most heavily glittery polishes this one needed thinner. I actually didn't thin it when I did this mani but I should have.

It was fairly easy to work with despite the thicker polish.

This polish very much strikes me as perfect for the name. It looks like it would be snow found in a gutter. This is of course coming from a Florida girl so I don't have a lot of experience with gutter snow lol. I did live in Michigan for a year and I have seen dirty snow before but I am no snow expert.

I love the way this baby sparkles!

I had actually ordered another polish instead of this one from Lacquistry however Jenna contacted me because there was an issue with the polish I had originally ordered. She wanted to let me know that she had a report of an issue with the glitter tinting the base. She was extremely nice to talk to and offered me the option to switch my order. I ended up switching the order because I also was dying to get this one and it just made the choice easier if the other one had an issue. She was super sweet and I thought the customer service was great.

I need to catch her when the shop is open because there are a few other polishes I really want from her store.

I spent a lot of time staring at this mani lol.

That's all for now :)
